goofyone:lolz not stupid it is a nice puzzle. Though quite annoying. you know it is not possible for black to win in this situation. so you have ended the game with your friend here? hahahaha level 10 ![]() Really? strange anyways i have challenged you ![]() |
@usermane see i know how you feel. To have so much pain that you feel like the floor should just open and swallow you up. One of the ways you can relieve yourself of this pain is to talk to someone about this. You cant keep on carry all this at heart it is not healthy at all. Also stop beating yourself up, losses happen, failures happen that doesn't mean life is over. learn to appreciate the good things you have presently and try to get something doing, focus on something you love. wishing you all the best ![]() |
hensben:pls spare me that trash what silly reality? Did you even read what she wrote? if you want to wash your spouse clothes do it because you love them, not because YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO OR YOU ARE COMMANDED TO. So if the guy wants to wash his gf clothes there is no big deal and if he doesn't no big deal as well and the same with the ladies. If they decide to wash together no problem as long as they are doing it for the love they feel for each other not because of one silly stereotype somewhere It depends on the two individuals involved. |
Gloria3389:i really don't get the idea behind your post. so it is not disrespectful telling his gf to wash his clothes when he is not busy but it is highly disrespectful telling him to help wash his gf's clothes when she is not busy? Why the double standards? ![]() |

He is the King and the king has rules to abide by ![]() TWO KINGS CANNOT STAND SIDE BY SIDE. THEY CANNOT FACE EACH OTHER. IT IS COMPLETELY ILLEGAL!! The picture below is completely illegal and unheard of. how can two kings be checking themselves at the same time? it isn't even logical
|
The king captures the way it moves true but it cant capture a piece that is being protected by another piece. The first picture the king can take this piece, now note the the king is under Attack by the rook i.e In CHECK. the king has to move or he takes the piece. The second pic is a bit complex now has the same dark square bishop is protecting the rook, the king CAN'T CAPTURE because capturing will just put him under another attack so it i better for him to move to a square that is not under attack.

prof800 Tushbobo exactly! thanks ![]() |
Good morning everyone ![]() Now to continue our lesson of yesterday ![]() A player must not make any move that would place his king in check. Apart from being limited by pieces to move, The king can also be limited if the opponents pieces are attacking a particular or some squares i.e The King must NEVER move on to a square that is being attacked by the opponents pieces because it will put the king in CHECK. When we say 'attacking a square' it refers to the squares that a piece can move to that can put other pieces in danger if not properly protected. Now this photo below will describe what has been said here, now there are two squares marked x. why are they marked? The dark square bishop as we remember moves diagonally on a dark square and it is attacking those squares that are marked 'x' so in chess it is impossible for the king to move to those squares that are under attack by the dark square bishop.

Emeka71:i also advise that you play more with humans than computers. cause this computers are programmed in different levels. it would get to a point that you will begin to get frustrated because of your inability to win and instead of you trying to learn from your mistakes, you don't cause you are just focus on defeating the computer which has already been programmed to 'win' |
Aprime:perfect ones Like we have any perfect person in this world. ![]() so they are now abnormal because they have those qualities? |
Sunshinelady:Are you okay? Did you miss your way or something? By your manner of speech and writing, it is quite clear who hasn't been to the four walls of a class room ![]() So i am a pessimist because i said the truth? lol i laugh in swahili. I don't know if you are blind to see and read properly what i wrote. Please open your mind to the truth and stop leaving in denial of what is happening now |

Oildichotomy:@bold please let be frank with ourselves which PEACE are you talking of? if there is relative peace like you say why the different denominations? why the hatred between people of different denominations? why the different doctrines? peace in the church ko peace in the church ni ![]() A house that is divided against itself cannot stand. A house that is divided has no peace. The same thing with the country Nigeria, we are divided as a country. Tribalism, ethnic rivalry, bomb blasts here and there etc and you are saying we are one nation? please wake up and face reality ![]() |

6. THE KING FINALLY! ladies and gentlemen i introduce to you. The don of the game, the one yes the almighty one, The one we are all here today for, without him there is no chess. Our royal majesty THE KING ![]() The king is the MOST IMPORTANT piece on board. The king is easily recognized with a small cross on top of his head i.e a '+' sign. Each player has a king on board and it usually stands close to his lovely queen. It can NEVER BE CAPTURED i.e THE KING NEVER LEAVES THE BOARD and if it is in danger then it must be made safe immediately. If it is not possible to make the King safe then the game is lost. So all the pieces on board are just there to protect the king and keep him safe. When a king is under direct attack by one, two of the opponent's pieces, the player is said to be in CHECK. When in check, only moves that remove the king from attack are allowed. A player must not make any move that would place his king in check. The object of the game is to CHECKMATE the opponent's King. This happens when the opponent's king is in check, and there are no moves that remove the king from attack. i.e the king is under attack and has no place to run to for safety or has no piece to block/remove this attack. One would expect that has king he should be better than the rest. please wake up from your dreams Ask yourself why do presidents have body guards? why cant they just walk around free like all of us? Let them try it if haters won't shot them down . The king being the most important is one of the weakest pieces after the pawn when it comes to movement so he needs 15 people to guard him. So how does this piece move? like husband like wife The king moves the same way the queen moves but like the pawn one square at a time. Very cool headed and doesn't like trouble. He moves in a BOX format, taking it one step at a time in any direction. Unlike the queen the king's movement is limited to one square at a time forward, backwards and sideways. He captures the way it moves.THE KING CAN ONLY MOVE TWO STEPS ONCE IN A GAME WITH A SPECIAL MOVE CALLED "CASTLING" WHICH IS DONE WITH THE ROOK. THIS WILL BE EXPLAINED IN THE NEXT LESSON The pic below shows his movement the 2nd shows the king with his pawns To be continued.......... *edited*
