Let me reiterate, I think I caused this barcode scare; my mistake was that my Ds-160 application ID (of the DS-160 form i submitted) was diff from the one I inputted on my appointment scheduling profile. It was an error I should have noted and corrected. That being said all you have to do is make sure you put the right ID/code that was generated for you when filling your ds-160 on the scheduling profile, that's all. No scare! If you haven't scheduled your appointment the 72hours thing doesn't apply to you.

I’m trying to book for another appointment since I deferred my admission to spring, I’ve been checking the appointment portal first date of appointment I saw was Jan 2nd 2019, this evening it changed to 3rd . My resumption is Jan 8th , I’m confused I don’t know what to do . Please help guys

Me: Universities in the USA unlike Nigerian Unis offer excellent research opportunities coupled with assistantships and one on one mentorship programs , providing advanced practical knowledge in Public health which is what i need to advance and stand out along the course of my career

Me: Dr Maureen Belzoid has an ongoing research on Public health workforce management issues including managing a multi-generational workforce which i am going to be a part of , also WUI offers pub health required courses on health services administration and epidiemology in which the former aligns with my career interest whike the latter with my undergrad degree in Anatomy

VO: why masters now?

Me: i have a long term goal of being a National renowed Pub Health specialist and researcher in Nigeria. This masters degree will not only increase my knowledge in my field of interest, it will give me an edge in achieving my goals,increase my salary range and employment opportunities when i get back to Nigeria

Me: A senior colleague of mine is an alumni of WUI, he suggested it to me when i told him my career plans . Mentioned the research opportunities available, and skills he got while at WUI , told me at length how WUI broadened his horizon to other aspects of public health which i can see without a doubt has boosted his career immensely

dat accelerated program is highly competitive but good option since u r a graduate of anatomy. Most schs looks at gpa only. is ur US gpa below 3.5?

@Jpoppins generally, the OISS of schools are not legally able to scan your I-20 to you through email. Once you receive notification that your I-20 has been shipped to you, you can send a mail to the school OISS asking for your SEVIS number and SEVIS school code. With these you can proceed to make your SEVIS payment and even book your visa appointment.

Good. Send an email to the school tomorrow and ask if a soft copy of ur I-20 could be sent to you, for you to be able to pay SEVIS fee and visa fee.

I studied Anatomy for my undergrad degree ,
I finished in 2016 and i was posted to the ministry of health, after service i stayed on to volunteer. Here i worked at a unit in pharmacy thats in charge of free drugs distribution in , logistics and health supply chain. Hence the conc in public health. I have a very good ielts result,no i have not paid for visa .i was told after i get my i20, i will pay a sevis fee before anything

1. Doing the GRE makes your profile look good to the VO, it depicts that you're ready for graduate studies but if it'll affect your visa chance, it's based on the VO's discretion.
If you've paid for the visa, you can log into the CGI portal and book an earlier date before 10th August preferably (if you're certain that your I-20 will arrive before the end of this week)
2. I don't know what disparities you are talking about but you can apply to different programs in different schools. In your case, what the VO want to know is if your undergraduate degree is related to what you want to go study in the graduate school. "Did you do an undergraduate course that is related to Health Science"? If YES, you don't have anything to be worried about. If NO, have a reason for the switch to Health Science.
3. You can get an earlier date if you give the website a close monitoring. A date between 6-10 August WILL open for a slot or two.

Oh yes, the school is western illinios university. I am expecting my i20 this week,
Classes are supposed to start August 20. My first issue is 1) i didnt write gre cos it is not required , i dont know if it will be a problem
2) i applied to 2 schools new york university accelerated second degree in nursing but they didnt give me admission and western illinois uni for msc in health sci conc. in public health, hope the vo wont question the disparities in the program
3) will i still be able to get interview date and meet up with resumption

Have you booked an appointment for the F-1 visa?
I do have friends who got approved after several refusal of the Canadian visa.
Also, you sound like you don't know more about this school you're going to, the school is Western Illinois University and not University of Western Illinois... I don't think there's such school in Illinois.
Sincerely, I don't see what issues you've got but to prepare fine for your interview and be favoured.
