Crime / KOGI: Why I Moved Late Enesi’s Corpse To FMC – Senatorial Candidate, Natasha by jseak(m): 9:17am On Jan 13, 2019
Kogi Central SDP senatorial candidate, Barr. Natasha Akpoti has disclosed the reason she moved the corps of her slained supporter, Ojo Enesi to Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja.

Reacting to the media report making the rounds that the SDP candidate moved the corps to an unknown place, Akpoti disputed the claim, saying after visiting the parent of the deceased, she and the mother of the deceased and other stakeholders in the community moved the corpse from Okengwe mortuary to Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja because there was plan by APC to dispose the corpse.

She said, after she and the late Enesi’s mother and other stakeholders in the community took the corpse to the state force headquarters to seek for justice before taking it to FMC for pathology test.

According to her, the comminionser of police, Akeem Busari, promised to bring the perpetrators to face the wrath of the law, and thereafter took the corpse to FMC, Lokoja where the corps of the innocent Enesi will be saved.

After listening to complaint of the mother of late, Enesi the Kogi state commissioner of police ordered the Area Commander lf OKehi LGA, Mr. Adegoke Rufus, to move the case file to the State Command, and to set an investigative team to bring the perpetrators to book.

Politics / Open Address To Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello By: Salami Isoyiza Hawa by jseak(m): 9:50pm On Dec 20, 2016
Today is 20th of December that you promised to clear all backlog of salaries owed to Kogi state workers.
Why are all workers not paid yet?

Am sure kogi state receives monthly allocation.
Why hasn't payment regularise after so many months of hunger and putting poor civil servants on Lokoja road in the name of screening?

Salary is not a gift from you to workers,it's their right to receive wages after Labour so why are you not paying them?

Why do you keep giving them false hope?
Why have you failed to understand the plight of the people you represent?

Does the disappointment workers feel each time you fail to fulfill your promises to them give you joy?
Why has your government reduced workers to beggars?
Kogi state has become a den of iniquity.
These helpless workers are entitled to dividends of their hard Labour, why are you not giving them?

Governor Bello am sure you have never missed your salary and allowances since you assumed office, neither has any member of your cabinet,so why are you depriving workers the little penny they deserve which cannot be compared to the whopping sum you earn?
Kogi state is a civil service state and if civil servants can't receive what's due to them what do you expect them and their families to survive on?

Why make them anticipate what you know is not achievable?
Why this miserable percentage payment to few and nothing to the majority?
I so much want to praise you as a statesman but you have not given me a good reason to.
Stop raising the hopes of your people cos it's too much to bear considering the state of hardship they are facing presently.

We the people of Kogi state are full of questions as to why you are treating workers this way and demand answers.

I can't let sentiment becloud my sense of human reasoning in the face of injustice.
The great people of the confluence state which you represent are not happy with your government.

Crime / Man Rapes Wife 10-year-old Sister In Abuja by jseak(m): 2:35pm On Apr 09, 2016
This happened in my area in Kubwa, couldn't get to take pictures of the man before he was moved to the police station.
The man was said to have raped is wife's 10-year-old younger sister last night which left the teenager bleeding till this morning. His wife had travelled leaving her sister with the husband not knowing that the man would carry out such inhuman act. The girl bled to the point the man ran to call a neighbor nurse claiming he had to beat the girl last night for not fetching from the heavy rain that fell last night and have been bleeding ever since.
The nurse on examining the girl discovered that the bleeding wasn't as a result of any beating but rape confronted the man, leading to his admitting to the nurse that he raped the girl pleading that the nurse shouldnt let anyone know. But the nurse refused his offer and raised alarm which led to his subsequent arrest by the police.

How wicked can some people be! SMH in pity for his victim.

The girl according to neighbors has lost so much blood and has since been rushed to an undisclosed hospital.

It was fun time for Guaranty Trust Bank staffs in Abuja on Saturday night as they gathered to unwind and send off 2015 as they ushered in a glorious 2016.

The All White Party was an event that had GTBank Abuja top shots in attendance. The MC for the night was Abuja based popular MC and comedian Chucks The General who got the audience laughing to his rib cracking jokes till the finish of the event.

It was also an avenue for long-time-not-seen colleagues reunion, relaxation and time off the usual work heat. The venue for the event was amazing and the hall was superbly decorated to suit the color of the event.

Below are some of the fun photos...

Crime / Police Officer Intentionally Shoots Roadside Mechanic In Kogi- Photos by jseak(m): 1:47pm On Jul 27, 2015

According to news emanating from Okene local government area of Kogi state and as confirmed by www.abdoolwahab.com source, a policeman simply identified by his nickname "Arrow" from the Okene division has shot a man, on his way to his motor mechanics workshop in the early hours of Monday.

Its unfortunate that policemen who are supposed to protect citizens are now putting their lives in danger. According to sources, the victim of the gunshot who is in a critical condition and has been referred from the Okene General Hospital to Specialist Hospital Lokoja, is a roadside motor mechanic who normally takes a short route, an alley between GRA Okene and the St. Andrew's Primary school to his workshop.

According to our source, the victim was heading to his workshop when the policeman called him, a call he refused to heed as he was running late for work.

The trigger-happy police officer was said to have fired gunshots at him three times at a close range, with claims that the man attempted to snatch their gun.

This claim by the police is highly refuted by youths in the area who said the police van was parked about 500mtrs away from the fated Boy.

No clear reason has been given for this mishap in the hands of the Police.

I hope these post gets to the appropriate authority. Possibly the police IG to wade into this issue and ensure that the police officer is prosecuted. Such police officer is definitely a wrong person to wear uniforms.

Celebrities / The New Bond Between Dbanj And The Mavin Crew by jseak(m): 6:50pm On Jul 25, 2015

Dbanj and the Mavin crew seems to have buried the hatchet and begin to build a better and stronger relationship. The DB Records chief executive was in Mavin headquarters this afternoon and had a nice time playing FIFA with Dr Sid and the rest of the Mavin Crew.

This is coming days after Dbanj dedicated his MAMA Evolution awards to Don Jazzy.
This is a good one coming from them for other industry frienemies to learn from. Wizkid and Davido has since buried their own beef and are reported to be working on a song for the first time together.

This is the kind of relationship fans want to see exist between our entertainers.

Child sexual abuse (CSA) is when a child becomes a sexual partner for an adult and/or is being engaged by an adult in some explicit activities. The Nigeria media in recent times have reported an increased number of child abuse and those are the once that are able to get to the media.

Most parents get so busy or at random decide to leave their kid(s) in care of house helps, neighbor, relatives, friends, or even teachers who may abuse them. Older kids may not report the abuse, because they are scared of or want to protect their abuser and/or they simply do not believe they will be taken seriously.

As a parent, you have to always look out for signs of your child being abused especially when s/he enjoys being around a particular adult. Keep in mind that, though, depending on the abuse type, some kids might be enjoying it thereby having a bond with the abuser.

This should trigger you to always check your child for signs of abuse immediately such adults comes around your child.

Signs that your child is being sexually abused

1. Your child suddenly finding it difficult to walk or sit, maybe due to genital or anal pain.
Be quick to examine why a child who was perfectly okay, all of a sudden is finding it difficult to walk or sit. Do this by checking his/her privates.

2. The person you left your child with gives you unconvincing/conflicting explanations for bruises/injuries on your child.

3. That neighbor, friend or relative that likes spending time alone with your child.

4. Be wary of someone who buys your child expensive gifts for no special reason.

5. Someone your child afraid of and/or do not want to be alone with.

These and many others should raise your suspicion that your child is being abused sexually. If you have any additional signs, drop them below for the benefit of all.

Jokes Etc / 7 Annoying Things That Roommates Do by jseak(m): 7:00pm On Jul 23, 2015

In school, students tend to have problem with their roommates except you are lucky to be among those who live alone. The thing is that, its always hard for people from different culture, background and upbringing to blend with one another easily except you just become best friends naturally and decide to cope with each others excesses.

Some roommates could so annoying that in your mind, you don't intend renewing your rent when it expires or you just make up your mind that you are never going to live with a roommate again. It really could be that frustrating sometimes.

Here i tried compiling some of those annoying things roommates do.

1. They don't bring food items/stuffs.
Did I just speak your mind? Everyone would agree that some roomies could be so dependent on the other to the extent of not bringing foodstuffs from home. All they will do is just feed on the once your provide. Some of them would even bring but decide to hide them in their bags. When your own(general) finishes, they will be hiding to cook when you are off for lectures and make the room clean before your return. Lol.. I lie?

2. When they borrow they don't payback
I didn't dash you the money. So I don't see any reason why I have to beg you before you pay me back the money you borrow. The most annoying of all is that when you try to ask for your money, some would want to pick fight with you. Agreed?

3. Thieving
Some roommates can steal sha.. They go through your bag, moving your belongings. Either jewelry, body spray, money or other personal stuffs. Since its awkward to accuse your roommate of stealing especially when you have not caught them red handed, it could really cause one a lot of discomfort.

4. Uses your underwear.
I think the most annoying of them all should be a roommate that uses your undies especially without your permission. As my roommate you are not allowed to use my boxers, towel, singlet. Why should you think of it in the first place. You are not even allowed to wear my cloths without my approving of it.

5. Don't participate in chores.
How annoying can a roommate be when you are the only one that always sweeps the room, make the bed, wash the dirty plates and the rest. Most times, they are the onces who make the room unkept and leave you to do the cleaning. If you have this type of roommate, then you are in for a big house cleaning job. Your roommate brings in his/her friend to eat, they leave the room messy for you to clean.

6. They are noisy/keep bad company
Imagine a time when you would like to relax and your roommate storms the house with his/her friends and they start discussing, shouting, disturbing your peace. Imagine the kind of roommates that keep you awake in the night because of their noisy night phone conversations and the rest. such kind of roommate that comes home with bad gangs, people whose presence could put everyone in trouble. They turn your room to alcohol/smoking joint.

7. They don't care about you
In a room where you live with someone, you get sick and there's no one to take care of you. Some roommates would abandon you without bothering on how you survive during that sick period.
The bottom line is that you should be wary of the kind of people you pick as roommates. Conduct a background check before accepting to move in with them.

Health / Loving Someone Who Has Sickle Cell by jseak(m): 8:17am On Jul 23, 2015
There are so many complications around dating and/or marrying someone that has sickle cell. Even if the love is so strong and you would want to go ahead with marrying such partner, your family might frown at that decision.
The fact is that, generally, your partner would vanish once they discover you are a sickle cell patient. It only takes a partner with the heart of gold to know the enormity of your condition and still remain in love.

Today, I will be sharing the story of a woman who has sickle cell, battled with several low esteem and rejection from men and later found love. I hope her story would serve as motivation to other sickle cell carriers out there.

Mrs Tosin is the writer and publisher of an online platform for people living with sickle cell sicklecellwarriors.com

In her story, Tosin had many boyfriends runaway immediately they discovered the complications of her condition. There was a particular guy that she was really serious with that ended up running away after her first main hospitalization although he had been around her all through the time she was sick. He confessed she love her so much and can't bear seeing her in pain talk more of having to deal with that for the rest of his life.

Tosin at a point in her life had a lot of self esteem issues linked to dating because of her sickle cell. She was only involved in short term relationships like 4 - 7 months before she gets hit by crises which is a sure bad signal for any guy she's dating at that period.

Tosin had to accept all sort of mistreatment from guys because of her condition but eventually she realised that it isn't because she was not good enough, but because she's been with the wrong guys. She took time out to learned how to fall in love with herself.

That decision changed her life and that was when she began to not see herself as a sickler but a sickle cell warrior. She stopped having low esteem issues abd she got into full control of herself and relationships.

These let her to meeting her eventual husband. The man changed her entire perception of men. She informed him about 6 weeks before they started dating that she had sickle cell, giving him a breakdown of what it was.

Eventually, they started dating and the guy was very supportive and helping her find a possible cure. His commitment wowed Tosin and this was the begining of her journey to finding a new life.

I hope her story would motivate you to learn how to tell the guys/girls upfront about your condition, before they get too attached. It takes a special man/woman to be able to love a sickle cell carrier and the right person for you will always come along to stay by your side, through thick and thin.

Family / What Can The Nigerian Government Do To Reduce Child Begging?? by jseak(m): 8:42pm On Jul 12, 2015

I feel the number of street children begging in Nigeria is on the rise day by day and I doubt if Nigeria has been marking the April 12th, International Day for Street Children talk more of looking into reducing the increasing number of street children.

There are millions of child beggars who take to the streets of Nigeria everyday to earn a living.

Life for these kids are different from that of other children their age. With tiny hands, dusty skin and ragged clothes, they go from one car window to another, one passerby to another in markets, streets, some barefooted, begging for money.

The other day, before giving alms to the little girl that was looking so unkept and malnourished, i asked why she begs, she unhappily said, "my parents are dead."

With so many of us enjoying, it would only be rewarding to protect the most vulnerable and isolated children in our society. I really want to see a Nigeria where their would be no street children begging on the road in 2020.

I don't know what the government is doing but the absence of adequate legislation, no budgetary allocations and no progress with regards to the implementation of recommendations made by international human rights bodies for the protection of street children is really disheartening.

My believe is that most begging children are trafficked, forced on street by either their parents or traffickers and these leaves them vulnerable to physical, emotional and sexual abuse. They should be in school, not in the middle of roads or streets begging.

I really do hope that the Nigerian government look into this burning issue. Also enjoin wealthy individuals and corporate bodies with charitable intentions to support vulnerable children, or support community-based businesses that contribute directly to improve the well-being of families and children. These actions help communities to keep children off the streets and provide them with a more conducive upbringing.

Crime / In 2015, This Drug Has 2016 As It Manufacture Date by jseak(m): 11:02am On Jul 10, 2015
This is one of those things that we just ignore and when people begin to die, all you hear is "brief illness". Are you surprised? When we allowed briefcase pharmaceutical companies to rob the unsuspecting public and cause the deaths of millions... By letting these kind of things go unpunished. This will not make headlines. No. That's not important. Its not sensational enough. It's whether someone's husband impregnated another lady, or the color of a dress that is purple, blue and black, or PSquare are all squared, or that the dress one person wore to an award was a no no or on point, or one lady broke up with her husband and they are both talking trash about each other! The things that should matter to us are not. The things that shouldn't even be in our top 50 issues of discussion, become the main trending topics. Some people should be sitting in jails now, cooling their heels, with all their earthly possessions taken off them... But yet, we are thinking of whether one guy's career is fading or blowing. Artistes spend millions on their creative works, only for their sweat and investment to be pirated and we treat it like its not an economic crime. If the artiste does not get back the money invested how will the same get out the next job? And the picture here is even more serious because it involves lives! How did we get here? How did our security agencies get to a point of not living up to why they are security agencies in the first place?

This is just disheartening. We go on like nothing is wrong. Prof Dora Akiyunli fought them to a standstill... Nearly lost her life sef because of the fight. If you ask me, some people who get caught selling these things should not treated with kid's gloves. This is not like selling fake slippers or jeans. This is threat to life. It's like armed robbery. Hang the bastards and their foot soldiers!!!!

Politics / Kogi: Should The Ebiras Complain Of Being Marginalized By The Igalas? by jseak(m): 9:47pm On Jul 09, 2015
The truth be told..though it might seem bitter to some people, the most marginalized group in Kogi state remains the Okun people. Few times that I have visited Okunland left me wondering why till date, the land lacks visible development and still looking like an ancient settlement.

Okay, another peep at the people who have been opportuned to rule the state since creation, a trip to their land would leave so many questions going on in your head like "why has this land suffered such abandonment despite having their own as governors of the state since creation". From bad roads, erosions, old structures, many disgusting sights..

The other day I was discussing with an....Continue Here
