FamilyRe: My Mum Wants My Kid Brother To Come Live With Me by jude2016: 11:04pm On Jan 16
Don't carry another man and woman cross! A cross they refused to carry for you and your siblings? And now expecting you to carry theirs?

Man build your future first!!! You don't carry people's cross when climbing the ladder they will pull you down and mock you at the end. Bewise, your success in life should be paramount to you, nothing else, I am talking from my experience. Even your mother will mock you if you fail as a result of carrying their cross.

This advice was what I lacked when I was climbing the ladder and carrying siblings and other relatives cross, they suppressed my growth. At the end they called me unwise human and mock me.

Don't do anything at your own detriment when you are climbing up, when you are at the top you are free to.
ReekyMass:
Hi, Guys!

Sincerely, I'm a bit confused here. My younger brother, the last born of the family wants to come over to the city to live with me.

My kid bro just graduated from secondary sch last year July. He is actually my step brother, as my mum had to remarry a year later after the passing of my dad many years ago. This brother is the only child my mum has for the Man.

The man is a retired state govt teacher, my mum is his second wife. He's not being responsible over the years and this has caused lots of issues between himself and my mum. Sometimes, if not most times, I'll always have to step in to broker peace between them.

My mum abandoned us to marry this man. At some point she even had to send my blood sister away from the man's house. My kid sister was just four years and needed the presence of a mother in her life, but since my mum so much cherished her new husband at the time, she said that my kid sister wouldn't live with her. So she had to send my sister to stay with our grandma(maternal). I felt so sad about this. Today same sister is married with two kids.

My mum never supported any of us through sch. We are four, plus this step brother of mine, five in total. As a matter of fact, while I was leaving for the city after the completion of my university education, she was nowhere to be found because I was in some financial mess at the time and I needed her to support me financially so I can go to city to hussle. I also wanted her to give me that motherly blessings and pray for my success as I embark on the journey for success. But she was nowhere to be found.

I managed to source for funds and left the village for the city. I'm not four years here. I send her money almost every week. I also send her mother(my grandma) money and ensure I take good care of her since she's the only grandparent I have now.

There's almost no time I speak with my mum that she doesn't come up with one financial complaint or the other. Sometimes I avoid her calls for weeks. It's not like I'm doing well here in the city, but I keep meeting her needs. I don't complain to her even when I'm down. I already know she can't help me, so what's the point complaining?. She can have money Hidden somewhere while you're in dire need of it, but she won't tell or give u. She can be doing business and making money secretly without telling you. Sometimes I only get to hear about such businesses from outsiders. She does this so we wouldn't ask her for any help. She never bought us even a notebook or Pen while we were in sch.

Now she wants my kid Bro to come live with me. Living with me isn't a problem. But my mum already spoilt my step brother. He was so pampered as a child and he often disrespects my mum. They asked him to learn Barbing. After sch, he would go there and return in the evenings. But this boy wasn't consistent. At some point, he even stopped. Our mum instructed him to go back and continue, but he refused. His father is so weak and can't discipline him. Four years back, same brother went to live with my immediate younger brother in Lagos and after two weeks he said he wants to go back to the village just like that.

I want him to further his studies but I don't have the resources yet. I want his father to take up that responsibility first, while I also support.
He knows I'm very strict and he can't be disrespectful to me. But my mum already corrupted him. If he comes and I start to discipline and disciple him, it would look like I'm antagonizing him because he's my step brother.

Again, and most importantly, I'm not working now, I'm just managing myself, hustling here and there just to survive. Sometimes I don't even get what to eat. I mange myself. Due to this, I wouldn't want to add another burden to myself. He eats a lot and if he comes here, it will now look like I'm starving him. My mum knows I'm just managing my life. I asked him to be a bit more patient and stay back in the village till I get something tangible to do, so I can take care of him when he comes to town, but he's insisting that he's already tired of staying in the village.

Considering what he did when he visited my immediate younger brother the other time, he wouldn't be able to go back there again.

PoliticsRe: Group Led By Deji Adeyanju Condemns Dangote's Sack Of 800 Workers by jude2016: 11:44pm On Sep 29, 2025
Zico5:
This is Nigeria for you. How can you sack a whole 800 workers. So there is no law protecting workers in Nigeria. I saw same people defending Dangote. Can they ever support such if they are victims. Trade union and NLC are there to protect workers against exploitation and wicked acts of the management.
Why's Trade union and NLC not fighting for workers in banking sector and others?
PoliticsRe: Dangote: PENGASSAN To Embark On Nationwide Strike On Monday by jude2016: 3:15pm On Sep 28, 2025
Osezzua:
So much ignorance in one post. Most Nigerians like to comment on what they know absolutely nothing about.

NNPC doesn't issue license to refineries, infact they are competitors with Dangote refinery.

Secondly, unionization of workers isn't a privilege, rather it's the worker's right guaranteed in our constitution and also in compliance with the ILO(International Labor Organization) regulation.

We have IOCs operating in Nigeria where we have PENGASSAN as a union.

Harmony and progress have always been sustained. Why does Dangote feel that he can hire and fire Nigerians arbitrarily?

Are they slaves to only be spoken to? Who does that?

Fire Nigerians as if they are in a labor camp? Come on guys, Nigerians can't be treated that way abroad and be treated the same way in their God given land.

This act shall be resisted to the end. Unionization of Nigerian workers doesn't mean death to the organization.

This is evident in other IOCs who have been operating in Nigeria for over 50yrs and have had their workers unionized.

If Dangote doesn't have ulterior motives, why is he afraid of the Union?

Not like any confrontation has taken place yet. Let him go back to the dialogue table and discuss.
Why is unionizism not allowed in the banking sector and manufacturing sectors in Nigeria.
FoodRe: Man Calls Out African Food Sellers In America Over Expensive Pounded Yam & Egusi by jude2016: 8:09pm On Sep 16, 2025
Rebuker:
A Nigerian man has taken to social media to vent his frustration, calling out African food sellers in America for what he described as “outrageous prices.” According to him, he was charged a staggering $140 for just two plates of Egusi soup and small portions of pounded yam.

Expressing his anger, he lamented that African food sellers deliberately inflate prices, especially when selling to fellow Nigerians. “Tell me why I have to pay $40 excluding tax and tips for a plate of Egusi and small pounded yam that can’t even fill me up? Other people sell theirs for less than $15, and you are charging $40,” he complained.

The man explained that during his visit to an African restaurant yesterday, he was billed $140 for two plates of Egusi and pounded yam. When he demanded a breakdown, he was told the actual price per plate was $40, with additional charges for tax and tips.

Shocked, he questioned the sellers: “$40 for a plate of food, not gold?”

Vowing to take action, he declared that he would start exposing Nigerian food vendors who charge above $20 per plate. He added that even the $20 price tag should only apply if the restaurant has a fancy setting and a prime location.

Still venting his frustration, he asked: “Are you people the only ones who need money? Don’t others need money too?”

He further explained that many Africans in America are not eating local dishes simply because they lack options, but because they genuinely want to support their own people and help African-owned businesses thrive.

The sellers are not to be blame for the cost of Africa food stuff's in USA, the cost of exporting to America is from #18,500 per kilo, so there is no way Africa food's will be cheap over there! This is my line of business.
PoliticsRe: NUPENG Strike Continues As Dangote Rep Walks Out Of Meeting by jude2016: 7:29pm On Sep 09, 2025
amazonguru001:
Dangote has a monopolistic tendency.
So he wants to monopolise the distribution channel of his product. Straight from his refinery to the end users.
Which is not a bad thing in itself.
To achieve this, he plans to import 4000 new CNG powered trucks. These CNG trucks will replace all his old AGO/PMS powered trucks.
In addition to this, he wants to employ new drivers.

What that means is:
Loss of job for the old drivers.
Families once doing well will start doing badly economically as their means of income has been taken away.

On top of that, he is insisting that the new drivers must not join the PTD association nor the NUPENG.

This is where he stepped on the UNION.

You cant tell your employees not to join workers union.
How on earth would they be able to fight for their right if their rights and welfare is trampled on just like he is doing to the old drivers.

This is exactly the reason why the Union exists to amplify their members voice and help face their employers without the members facing job loss or any form of victimization.

Danogite cant have it all.
You win some , you lose some.

The Union is willing to compromise to allow him employ new drivers but he cant hinder them from joining workers/trade Union.

That's the point.
Why is NLC and TUC not fighting the banking and other sectors for prohibiting their employees from joining any union in Nigeria?

Volatility in his dreams, he thinks he was talking to his kids at home. Greedy nigerians.
Baker's are not to be blamed for the high cost of bread! Flour, sugar, butter and other items used for production are still on the high side.

Dagote and other millers should be blamed for the high price of 🍞

My life have been stagnant for like 4-5 years now. I work in a factory and I also sow clothes.
I've not been able to spend money on myself or to pursue my dream as a result of family responsibilities.
I'm a drop out of FUOYE and I'll so much love to go back to school but the plan has been failing for 2 years now.

I've obtained a part time form from Adekunle Ajasin University Ibadan campus last month hoping to start the new session next year but my problem now is that I have a brother that just finished HND 1, his rent has expired and he'll pay his school fees this January.
I paid his rent and school fees for HND 1 and he has notified me for HND 2.
My fear now is that time us running out for me (I'm 27yrs now) as I sincerely wanted to go back to school but I can't sponsor myself and two siblings.

Should I wait for another year or everybody should carry his cross?
Please carry your cross first before thinking of another person's cross! I am talking from experience, I did same, today they are all mocking me that they are better than me.

CrimeRe: My Boyfriend Drugged And Raped Me. by jude2016: 11:18pm On Feb 07, 2021
Girl9999:
I created this account to hide my identity. I'm in a very emotional condition at the moment. I've been crying since morning. I've not left my house, not even for church. I've lost the will to live, all because of what happened yesterday evening.

I've been dating this guy for two months. I thought he was a great guy. He was always nice to me, smart and hard-working. I lost my virginity at the age of 18 in University and it was to someone that just wanted to have sex with me. He lied about loving me. All he wanted was sex and when he had his way he abandoned me and dated another girl in my department. Since then I've had a fear of relationships, most importantly of sex. I vowed to only have sex with someone I was going to marry; someone I was certain loved me.

When I met my boyfriend, I thought he was the one. We vibed well and we were both in the same field of work. Everything seemed to click. I opened up to him about my experience and my decision to have sex only when I was ready. He agreed and said he was going to respect my wishes.

Yesterday he visited me at my apartment. This wasn't the first time he was visiting me. We paid each other visits all the time. This time he brought a bottle of wine with him. I prepared food, we both eat and he served us some wine. The last thing I remember is taking few sips and then everything else is blurry.

Next thing I am waking up by 8am this morning with a severe headache, cramped legs and a sore feeling around my vagina. There was something that looked like dried semen on my left thigh and some around my breast. I could also perceive the scent of his perfume on my body. He raped me. The man that claimed to love me raped me. I haven't spoken to anyone since morning, all I've been doing is crying. My phone has been on silent all day.

I want to report him to the police but first I want to look at his face and ask why he would do this to me. I already planned on having sex with him soon. Why couldn't he wait? I want to involve my parents and his parents as well but I don't want this news to spread and take a hit on my reputation. I'm confused about what to do.

Why are men like this? I feel defiled and violated. My mind has been constantly flooded with suicidal thoughts all day. If I make it through this, I'm done with relationships forever.
Go to the hospital for them to extract his semen for evidence and report the matter to the police.

LandMann:
I'm not surprised... Most southern leaders stink of corruption due to over civilization... They never put the country and it's people first in what they do... They are always after their own illegal gains once they occupy public office... And once they are caught, the foolish southern people and it's media arm start playing ethnicity card and organising paid protests. Funny enough, you hardly hear of northerns coming to defend any northerner accused and being tried for corruption..

Look at the roads in the south and compare to the north... Just compare the infrastructural development in the north to the south... We are acting intelligent in the south while our political leaders rob us blind and turn us against the north... We produced presidents for 16 years out of the last 21 years... But go and look at Ore Abeokuta road where Obasanjo is from...the one who likes to write letters...

Go and look at Benin Warri road with all the oil revenue being received there and countless billions approved for them and siphoned by southern politicians while our people keep dying like flies in road accidents, while looking to the north as their source of problem.

Only Yar Adua, a Northerner pursued Nigeria's interest with zeal... But death cut him short... Buhari would have done greater things for Nigeria if not for the fall in revenue arising from crude oil price crash, together with the crowd of thieves surrounding him.

Sanusi too, a northerner occupied that CBN seat and made life easier for Nigerians with different monetary policies... He eliminated nonsensical ATM charges and many other fraudulent bank charges used by banks to legally steal from customers...

But our southern man Emiefele has climbed that seat now and he reintroduced bank charges, atm charges and so many others... because he's a capitalist and capitalism is fueled by greed and corruption in underdeveloped country like Nigeria where institutions are weak and checkmates can be easily maneuvered....

We will be ready to move forward when we start hanging looters in this country.

Thank you.
You have said it all Godwin is the worst CBN Governor in the history of Nigeria, He after his pocket and his cronies pocket.
