It may seem strange to us that God has a sense of humour, but the truth is laughter and humour are attributes we have received from God.

We laugh because God laughs. He appreciates humour just as we do.

God made both Abraham and his wife to laugh by giving them Isaac (laughter) in their old ages (Genesis 17: 16_17, 21: 5_7)

If God made Abraham and Sarah to laugh, then it means God has a good sense of humour. He can do things that make us laugh with joy.

The comical way in which the idol dagon was humiliated before the ark of covenant, gives us a hint about God's humour. (1 Samuel 5:1_4)

What moves God to laughter 🤣?

Among other things, (as seen in the Psalms) occasionally when God sees or hears enemies plotting evil against His people, He laughs at them heartily!

If we understand a little about the almightiness of God, we will understand why He laughs when enemies gang up against us:

▪️Nothing is impossible with Him (Luke 1:37)

To summarize: If God ALMIGHTY be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

It's worrisome to see common trends amongst most GOS or Church Founders especially in Nigeria.

1. They abuse their powers by arresting and putting in prison anyone who speaks against them. What then is the difference between them and politicians?

2. They oppress younger ministers they perceive carry unusual grace. And when such ministers try to leave to establish their own ministries, they frustrate them.

I could go on and on.

These evil trends should stop. Otherwise, they will be cast away on judgement day. God is no respecter of persons.

To be a church founder or GO isn't a walk in a park. It requires much sacrifices including extended fasting, long hours of prayers, expansive evangelism, selfless giving, etc.

Such leaders often think their sacrifices warrants them greater reverence and respect from their followers.

Some have an entitled mentality and
expect to be honored by their flock notwithstanding. Some think they are above criticism as highly Anointed of God.

But it's wrong, because no one is 100% perfect.

Failure isn't final until you give up....
