It's pathetic that the church keeps making headlines bordering on the sexual misconduct of its spiritual leaders.

Pastors/apostles/evangelists/prophets/teachers who are shinning lights of Christ are often entangled in sexual sins: fornication, adultery, homosexuality, etc.

The other day I was shocked when a bishop was recorded on audio telling a minor whom he was sleeping with how to wash herself after sex.

Unfortunately we see many sex scandals like these in the church:

▪️ Leaders sleeping with secretaries

▪️ Leaders sleeping with counselees

▪️ Leaders sleeping with choir members

▪️Leaders sleeping with those seeking 'special' prayers

▪️Leaders sleeping with fellow ministers

▪️ Leaders sleeping with intending spouses

▪️ Leaders sexually abusing those entrusted to their care.

Church leaders who yield to sexual temptations (as everyone will be tempted, but yielding is a choice) often fail woefully in their ministries and end up as drifters away from the church, their callings and God Himself.

Some church leaders caught up in the web of sexual immorality find the grace to repent and start afresh.

However they soon discover that what they lost was far greater than anything they might have gained in their disobedience.

What causes church leaders to fall into into sexual immorality?

1. Weak prayer altar. Lukewarm Faith.

2. Too much familiarity/closeness with the opposite sex, especially with those they find attractive.

3. Unsatisfying sex or lack of sex with marriage partners.

4. Prideful attitudes and boastings.

5. Denial and concealment of sexual weaknesses.

6. Curses, spells, bewitchments.

7. Seduction.

8. The spirit of Jezebel.

9. Unaccountability.

Sexual immorality is among the STRONGEST weapons fashioned against church leadership and sadly MANY keep falling because of the lack of spiritual discipline.

If Joseph had condescended so low to sleep with Mrs Potiphar, that would have ended his glorious destiny; the destinies of so many promising church leaders are often cut short through sexual immorality.

God didn't create us as robots 🤖. He has given us the power to choose to love Him with all our hearts or not. (Matthew 22:37)

Do you love God enough to be sexually pure notwithstanding the temptation?

Growing up we were made to believe that demons/evil spirits originated from the angels that fell with Lucifer after his rebellion.

But this isn't actually true. Fallen angels are totally different from demons.

The fallen angels have higher ranking than demons as they can fight God's angels and rule certain geographical locations of the earth:

Demons are disembodied spirits of the nephilim giants that once terrorized the earth.

They are in constant search of human bodies to occupy because they're very uncomfortable and distressed in their bodiless state.

That's Why Jesus was always casting them out of human bodies and gave us the same mandate: (Matthew 13:28, Mark 16:17)

According to Jesus' teaching_

1. Demons roam in dry places: meaning they are often in a condition of emptiness, desolation and unrest.

2. They always seek to return to their "houses": Demons don't give up easily on possessing people and as a result they occupy great numbers of people.

3. They are extremely wicked: Demons are responsible for most of the evils we suffer and struggle with. Infact they vary in wickedness; they can make life very unbearable and regressive.

However all believers have authority over demons by the Word of God. (Luke 10:17_19, Genesis 1:1_3)

Demons by far outnumber humans. If one human could have a legion (Mark 5:9) then it means they are very many indeed.
