It seems we are forgetting a very important part of this whole process. The President did not singlehandedly approve the pardon. A Presidential committee was inaugurated from across the spectrum and they came up with recommendations which were submitted to the council of state for approval.
Unfortunately, some people read only to comment and get likes but not to understand for future reference. This goes to show the level of our educational systems, producing graduates who are quick to talk but slow to understanding.

Yes, a committee handled the process, but it's not mandatory for the president to approve all their recommendations. To overturn one of the few and notable convictions achieved in the fight against corruption has done more damage to this nation than any perceived good from the pardon.Only th corrupt will celebrate such pardons
