PoliticsRe: How Atiku Abubakar Deleted A Post He Made On The Killing Of Deborah Samuel. by julaion(op): 8:53pm On Feb 20, 2023
WHY I DELETED TWEET CONDEMNING THE MURDER OF DEBORAH

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has stated that he deleted his tweet condemning the murder of Deborah Samuel, a student who was lynched for alleged blasphemy, because the tweet was shared without his approval.

Deborah, a Christian 200-level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto, was killed by fellow students in May for allegedly blaspheming Prophet Muhammad.

During the Channels Television people’s town hall meeting on Sunday, Atiku was asked why he deleted the tweet where he condemned the act.

In response, Atiku said, “I asked the tweet to be deleted because I normally approve every tweet and since I did not approve the tweet, I asked them to delete it. If you read my subsequent statement on that murder, I condemned it.”

Following Deborah’s murder, a tweet via Atiku’s verified page had read, “There cannot be a justification for such gruesome murder. Deborah Yakubu was murdered and all those behind her death must be brought to justice. My condolences to her family and friends.”

Atiku’s deleted tweet
A few hours after the post, Atiku deleted the tweet and took to Facebook to justify his actions.

In a message on his verified Hausa page, the former Vice President distanced himself from the message. He also stated that any message on social media without the initials “A. A.” was not his.

“This evening I received information that a post was made that doesn’t agree with my orders. I use this to announce that any post without A. A. is not from me. May God protect us,” he wrote in Hausa language.

PoliticsHow Atiku Abubakar Deleted A Post He Made On The Killing Of Deborah Samuel. by julaion(op):
It is always a painful thing to remember how Atiku Abubakar deleted a post he made on the killing of Deborah Samuel. We can't be save in the hands of somebody who his empathy does not go with courage. Nigerians beware.

Yorubas it’s time to prove to other tribes beyond reasonable doubt that indeed Lagos belongs to the yorubas. Tinubus win in Lagos should be with a very wide margin. It’s like another tribe dragging Adamawa with Atiku(our incoming president), it can’t ever happen. Even if Tinubu is not winning, at least he should deliver Lagos in block votes.

PoliticsRe: 2023: Fresh Poll Expects Tinubu To Win Popular Vote, Run-off Possible by julaion: 11:08pm On Feb 17, 2023
Jnrprince1:
A survey carried out by a civil society organization, Enough Is Enough (EiE) and a research firm, SBM Intelligence, has predicted a possible victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the February 25 election.

The report of the survey carried out among 11,534 respondents across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was published on Friday.
The survey, according to the organizations, projected Tinubu to win popular votes in the major states across the South-West and North-West.

This, however, depends on the voters’ turnout in the two regions.

The report read: “The path to Aso Rock has been riddled with permutations and scenario planning primarily because, for the first time since the era of parliamentary democracy in the 1960s, there are three competitive political blocs, broadly distributed along the eastern, northern, and western regional divides with a smattering of swing states where they must compete for absolute votes and vote share. Unfortunately, there isn’t as much interest in the down-ballot races.
The report also refused to rule out the first presidential election run-off in the country’s history with the duo of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi, projected to win 25 percent of votes in at least 24 states.

It also expected the APC to win 60 seats in the Senate with the remaining 48 going to the PDP.

“Turnout will increase in the elections, but some states will experience a low turnout. Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar will score 25 percent in at least 24 states.

“Depending on turnout in Kano, Lagos, and a few other states in the NW and SW, Bola Tinubu could win the popular vote, setting Nigeria up for a runoff election for the first time ever.

“The APC could win 60 seats in the Senate, while the PDP may win 46 seats, leaving a margin of three seats which could go either way or could be taken by third parties.

“In the House, we believe that the APC may lose its majority and win 160 seats, and the PDP may win 185 seats, leaving 15 seats to go either way or to smaller parties.”
