CHUKULI SQUAD
this exam hard o, but we go run
am! sha” that's what I overheard a guy confidently
boasting to
his friends at the famous Garden of Eden
(Orchard in Faculty). It was barely three
days into the first semester examinations
of the 2017/2018 session, and students
were busy moving to and fro as they
busied themselves with different
materials which will aid in whatever
exam they had next.
Now my brethrens, you will
agree with me that UNIBEN and its
lecturers never make anything look easy.
For instance, even if someone was
admitted to study CLEANING as a course,
some difficulties must still be inculcated
into it. More like, lecturers teaching us
how to prepare white rice during class
period, but we get into the examination
halls on their academicals judgement
day, only to discover that we are
expected to prepare fried rice, without
been given Orientals about the
ingredients.
Overtime, I as a student have
come to observe that the examination
week is not just hectic but also thrilling.
How? Just Negodu , is it not true that
during this periods our girls
unintentionally observe NO MAKE UP
DAYS , also we see in the examination
halls, our friends (students) now turned
soldiers, fully armoured with chukulis …
Shey you wan go fight Niger Delta
Avengers abi, but we simply stay mute
observing our SEE NO EVIL, SPEAK NO
EVIL principle. Funny as it seems, in the
other corner of this same examination
hall, you find those who seem to be on
another level, the front benchers, as they
stay glued to their answer sheets, dishing
out all manner of points for their
lecturers, amounting to six or seven
pages… Shoo, shey me and this one get
the same brain? “Guy abeg open your
book small” you managetosay, as you
gaze in awe. But he refuses to let you see
even an inch of his paper, safeguarding
it even more this time, earning him all
sorts of wicked names few minutes after
that paper, for perhaps that day has been
a Black Friday for the Chukuli Squad.
But today I have come to preach
good news to the oppressed, next time
when they approach you saying all
manner of trash against you, rise up on
your feet and say, “Make hay while the
sun shine!” |

It shows that this government dont know what the are doing |
The move is in order to make them employable after school - The idea was proposed by the minister of state for education, Professor Anthony Anwukah The minister of state for education, Professor Anthony Anwukah, have put forward a proposal for Nigerian students to spend an extra year in specialized institutions after graduation. Professor Anwukah's proposal was tabled at the ongoing retreat for Governing Councils of Nigerian Federal Universities, organized by the National Universities Commission (NUC) with the theme, “Elements of Statutory Governance, Procurement and Financial Accounting in Nigerian Universities.” He said the suggestion was being made because many university graduates were not good enough to be employed by industries. READ ALSO: CHOGM: Toyin Saraki calls for improved education and opportunities for girls, young women “Law students attend law school for one year before going for NYSC and medical students go for one year Houseman ship before they are allowed to practice fully, so it will be necessary for other courses to also go through this process,” Mr Anwukah said. “The Lagos Business School can also serve as a one year after-school training. “The universities are producing products that are not matching the needs of the industries. I urged the committee of pro-chancellors and committee of vice-chancellors to end the decline in the standard of education. “The SIWES projects introduced for a year industrial attachment for students has failed in the universities. It is not doing its role in bridging the gap between the universities and the industries,” he said. He said that re-schooling would serve as a training ground for graduates to be well equipped on the rudiments of the course studied. Contacted by Daily Trust to throw more light on the proposal, the minister said: “We are trying to sell an idea, the proposal is to get into our university system the re-schooling concept, that is you finish your university degree may be add one more year as a finishing school project, I don’t know how it is going to sell ... butthe idea has come as a result of the failure of SIWES system in the universities. “We try to address the relationship between the universities, the industries and the graduates, how they can fit in and we introduced the SIWES project and it is not working and it is not providing that bridge between the industries because the most industries are unwilling to accept most students on the SIWES programme. “We want to brainstorm and see whether we can add one additional year so that when a student finishes from the university he can now go out to industries for one year internship for that job. For instance, the law department had one extra year after the law programme they go to law school, doctors go for one additional year. “Are we going to continue with the SIWESS experiment which is not working or we are going to brace up to introduce an additional year of re-school whereby you spend that one year in any industry. “For instance, the Lagos Business School can serve as one year learning experience for students in business, accountancy and others, the NTA school in Jos can handle that of journalists.” |

humilitypays:President of Middle Belt forum, Dr. Bala Takaya, said will go to ICC, ECOWAS Court, or to other areas of redress." THESE ORGANIZATIONS CAN NOT DRESS YOUR WOUNDS AS YOU PEOPLE SHOWED NO MERCY ON THE IGBOSTHEN. THE HOLY BOOK SAYS," HE THAT SHOWETH MERCY SHALT OBTAIN MERCY..." YOU PEOPLE JOIN THE MOSLEM IN THE MASSACRE OF YOUR FELLOW CHRISTIANS, SOME DRAGED OUT OF THE CHURCH AND SLAUGHTERED LIKE COWS BY THE CHURCH GATE AGAINST THE BIBLE. THIS JUST THE BEGINNING OOOOO According to him, “ But we are concerned that this thing is in public, worldwide, just like it happened in Rwanda, the world was watching and killings were going on until the whole thing came to a point where hundreds of thousands of lives were lost before the world woke up to realise that they could have done something to stop the killings in Rwanda." HOW MANY IGBOSWERE KILLED IN COLD-BLOOD WITH BENUE, PLATEAU, KOGI, SOUTHERN KADUNA, TARABA, ADAMAWA PEOPLE WATCHING AND FULLY PARTICIPATING WITH ZEAL AND MUDEROUS JOY, IGBOSBEEN HUNTERED LIKE ANIMALS IN THE FOREST. IT PAINS GOING INTO THIS BECAUSE PRECIOUSLIVES ARE LOST ON DAILY BASES. YET THE TRUTH MUST BE TOLD "And similarly, this is happening in Nigeria." “It started gradually in Rwanda. And it is starting gradually here in Nigeria. Probably, even at a higher speed in Nigeria. But the world is watching." Dr KATAYA IT IS NOT NEW. GOOD MORNING OOOOOOOOOOOOO |

They should give Nnamdi Kanu's widow 200k so she can start hawking Abacha salad in Abia state since her husband is no more. At least it will help feed his son.
