There is a rule in the hostels tht students shldnt bath outside. So the female student obviously saw the porter and ran because she was committing an offence. The porter only ran after her cos he needed to catch her red-handed. So taking this into consideration, the female student has no ground for complaint or else she will be giving herself in for a corporate punishment by uniben security for flouting school rules.
In female hostels there are male porters who are accompanied by their female counterparts when going on their normal routine checks. Female porters alone cannot discipline those unruly female students.

And that is supposedly a good enough reason why he slapped her?
If his sisters were treated that way would he accept that?. . He entered the hostel before 8A.m without any female porter which is not supposed to be. The rule is no bathing outside after 8a.m. The issue at hand is what was a male porter(in his 20's) doing in a female histel that early. Routine checks is supposed to be donr by the female porters. To add insult to injury he broke her bucket, slapped her and told her to go rounf rooms apologising ( for what). This traumatic experience has affected this girl in many ways. School security that should have handled the issue and address both parties just made the poor girl feel like a criminal.

Wow. Thanks for this informative reminder @ op. I'll try to stop the habit, although taking cold soft drinks is usually a massive temptation esp in hot afternoons. I'll try d water suggestion.

My clearance date was wednesday 14th. I had to be logged out to upload 2nd sitting. I corrected it that day. The next day 14th another problem, the white lady(faculty of art students go sabi wetin I dey yarn) para but sha later logged me out 3hours later. I corrected it that and printed my clearance slip. the next Friday 16th I started clearance afresh and was told to come get my eligibility slip on Monday19th.

Not too long sha. it depends on ur clearance officers. I was logged out twice on diff occassions. I saw some that have been logged out more than that.

ehyea pele my dear. It is well. I'm supposed to clear tomorrow but theres a mistake I want to correct. I was told to go to auditorium so they'll log me out but security did not let me in. what do I DO?
