gidgiddy:E shock you abi....... Demonstration of Craze, according to Fela. |
When you have a first lady who is "tone deaf." Madam, read the room. |
In a sane country, this can not happen. Cleaning of house should start with the employees of whatever organization is in charge of issuing the permits. After that, an audit needs to be done, to see those that were approved outside of the master plan. Then the government can contact the builders affected and have them reapply or stick the the original master plan. Canceling the permit of every builder is like punishing all drivers because a few were driving dangerously. This is why I have not invested a dime back home. All my investment properties are here, in the US, where I know stuff like this can not happen. The builders need to get a lawyer and sue the lagos state government. |
Tjra:He learnt from Wike. Fubara is even calm. If this was Wile, he would have bulldozed the hotel and revoke the C of O. |
Long overdue from Fubara. If they want to play dirty, you play dirtier. If it was Wile, he would have brought the hotel down, not sealed it. Fubara needs to go after the investments of Wike's boys in the state. If you go after their money, they will fall in line. |
You are the one in a "serious relationship", she's not in a serious relationship with you. |
Shuaibu is delusional. Where is the funding for his office going to come from? I understand he's trying to be a hard bone in the neck of the governor, but he's acting like a desperate and immature politician. Those who really wield grassroot power do not behave like this. They would not have been impeached in the first place. Oshiomole is only using him and will dump him after the elections, win or lose. |
Joe Igbokwe is a coward. The protest being mentioned is a creation of "northern youths." They have even sent thr IG of Police a letter informing him of their intentions to protest. Why is Joe not mentioning northern youths? Why is he not mentioning the north? Instead he is talking about Obidients. Silly old man. |
The former deputy governor is only wasting his time. The kangaroo court bought judgement can not stand. A federal court does not have the power to decide what was politically motivated or not. The state house of assembly set up a panel that investigated the former deputy governor, the committee made a recommendation to the state house of assembly, base on their findings, and subsequently impeached the former deputy governor. The court dey whine am. The state government and the state assembly will appeal and drag it on until after the elections. By that time, a new government would be in place. All this nosie from Shaibu will die down. |
When they came out to condemn Jonathan ans organized a protest against him, they didn't think about tomorrow. The are now in power, they now understand that it is a different ball game altogether. |
His lack of "boldness" cost him winning the Euros. Yes, they got to the final, but they could have played better and wonthr cup of he had the courage to bench some of his so called big players who were under performing. For instance, Foden started 7 games and registered 0 goals and 0 assists through the tournament. He should have switched things up. Also, I don't think Bellingham and Foden can play together. They both like to roam and play in the number 10 role. Starting both of them, meant they got in each other's way. They team lacked cutting edge. It was clear Harry Kane was not in form. He had other strikers on the bench, Watkins, Bowen and Toney, but kept on playing Kane, even when it was clear he was out of form. Big coaches make big calls, that's how they win championships. |
BAT is smart. He wants to whittle down the powers of Governors, so they can not gang up against him. Most local government chairmen are loyal to their Governor because of local government funds. If they receive the finds directly, then they can afford not to do the Governors bidding. Most local government chairmen arew grassroot politicians and are very connected to the people. In most cases, it is the political machinery of the local government chairmen that governors roll up to make their own. |
It's the students that are dirty. The hotel itself is not bad. A dirty person in naija will be a dirty person abroad. |
psucc:It is alleged that he is being backed by the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. |
DevilsEqual:The difference is, in the United States, immediately he gets out, he would sue and get millions of dollars. The fact that he was tortured alone, the case would have been thrown out and he would be set free. He would still.sue for the torture. |
Is he not the one that was daring Fubara to act about 3 weeks ago. Mubarak Don dey act not, you are shouting. ...... If I was Fubara, I would have started with this yeye man. |
God1000:They are thanking him for a job well done. He made sure info on Tinubu's drug cases in the US were not released before the election. The FBI director has come to collect what he was promised. |
Modeling for L'Oréal is different from being an ambassador. Oluchi was the black African face used in a L'Oréal advertisement, but Temi is an Ambassador. Being an ambassador of the brand means Temi will market their products, influence their products, use their products and model for the brand. There's a difference. Oluchi of all people should know this. |
LoveJesus87:You think the people at the elm at Chelsea are foolish? They need a striker, but they don't need an overpriced and Over aged player. We all know the real age of Osimehin is at least 35. So investing almost 100 million in a player that has maybe 2 more years effectively at the top would be crazy. Most Nigerian players don't have longevity because of age related fraud, with the exception of a few. |
ineri:Because it is helpless. It is a toothless bulldog when it comes to the west and it's allies like Israel. The UN is a tool used to attack African, Asian and Middle Eastern countries. |
When Reno was jumping from one place to another criticizing Buhari, was he against Nigeria? Anyone who questions this government and it's policies, Reno say they are against Nigeria. The moment Reno was allowed to visit Nigeria by the NSA Ribadu, his tone changed. It is alleged that he was paid $500k to help launder the image of BAT and portray his government on good light. The alleged task is to be the unofficial spokesperson in the diaspora. I won't lie, he has ben doing a good job, but for people like me, we can see through the BS. |
StOla:It is this mentality that is ruining Nigerians. How is it a shirt term employment, when it is funded continuously? Personal assistant are funded in every administration, so there is no pause. As long as there are PAs, they would be paid. The problem is not the title, it's the funding. So if every 4 years, almost 1 million naira is set aside for a PA, and if the boss does 2 terms , then it is funded for 2 terms. Another boss gets into power and a new set of PAs are appointed, and the funding continues. Solution- Cut government expenditure. We as a nation are spending too much to fund the 3 tiers of government. This is on. Federal level, we are not even talking of states. |
For real change to happen, sacrifices MUST be made. I know it is hard for the common man, but that is exactly what our leaders have capitalized on over the years. They have successfully weaponized poverty. They know that MOST Nigerians will go against real change once they get a little comfortable, and they are back to status quo. I remember one time when the former labour leader, Adam Oshiomole said, if the government's goal is for fuel price is 1k per liter from 200 hundred naira, the government will increase it to 2k per liter, because they know that all they have to do is eventually reduce it to their original 1k goal and the average Nigerian will praise the government for being considerate. As long as we continue this style of suffering and smiling, NO REAL CHANGE WILL OCCUR. We have no electricity, no good roads, fuel scarcity, no good leaders, no basic amenities, no access to clean water for the citizens, hardship, and all, YET, when you speak up , the same people suffering will abuse you. Nigerians have Stockholm syndrome. |
immortalcrown:Don't be deceived. The biggest white collar crimes in the world are dine by white people. |
We don't have amnesia. We remember Buhari saying the same thing after 1 year in office. 8 years later, Tinubu is using the same line. When we are ready for this country to be great, we know what to do. For now let us continue to "enjoy" the consequences of how we laid our bed. |
If the then Governor, Ganduje had the constitutional power to dethrone Sanusi, why is the federal government trying to stop the current Governor from executing the same constitutional privilege to dethrone Bayero and reinstall Sanusi? The government is using Ribadu and the office of the NSA to stir the hornets nest. If Kano boils over, it will spread like wild fire. I will advise the current Governor to be careful, lest he falls into the trap Ribadu and Ganduje are playing at. If Kano boils over, they will declare a state of emergency and relegated the current Governor to the side with no influence. |
Flier:As long as teh money to run the palace comes from the state government, they government Woll always have control. Most of these traditional rulers don't have any constitutional power per se. They are more or less ceremonial heads and cultural custodians. |
When people talk about Japa, this is one of the reasons. Yes, you can make money in Nigeria, but it doesn't stop something like this nonsense from happening to you. The difference is, when it happens to you abroad (which is very unlikely), there are consequences. You can sue, and there is nothing like "unknown soldier." In Nigeria, the soldier who did this, might not even be identified. The lady in question, if she has died, might be dumped in some mortuary or on the road side somewhere and nothing will be done. Abroad is not perfect, but the system works way better than Nigeria. I love Nigeria, and it will always be my country, but it is running on a failed system. The last time I was in the country, I was stopped at a police checkpoint somewhere along Lekki Phase 2. The officers threatened to take me to the station because I didn't have any Nigerian Identification on me. I showed thhem my Texas Drivers license and even my my work ID in America. They said it was fake. I told them my American and Nigerian passports where both in the safe in my hotel room and they can follow me to verify. Instead, they stated we would settle it at the station. I immediately put a call to a friend who works at the Ameircan embassy, and he called the area commander, who then called my phone to speak to the officers. They initially didn't want to speak to him, but when I started calling the names on their uniform to the commander over the phone, the inspector took the phone from me. After speaking to the commander, the inspector still.had the audacity to ask me for "American Dollars" as he put it. I was disgusted. They delayed me for almost 2 hours. Horrible experience. I love Nigeria, but it is my people that are destroying the country. |
Obviously, the landlord. But na naija we dey. |
nedu666:He is already on the payroll of the BAT administration. You think he us doing all these for free? Wake up. Ever since he visited Nuhu Ribadu after BAT win the election, Reno's stance on BAT changed. He initially, was subtle about it, but now he defends BAT every day on the internet. |
Cole Palmer should have won it, and here's why. 1. Did we expect Foden to score 17 goals this season. of course. Did we expect Palmer to Score 22 goals in his 1st season as a senior player.... HELL NO!! 2. Take Foden out of the Man city team and Man City would most like still be where they are at, at the top of the table. Take Plamer out of the Chelsea team and Chelsea would most likely be in the bottom half of the table. So Palmer, obviously has had more impact overall on his team than Foden. 3. This is Palmers first full season as a senior player, and he is the 2nd highest goal scorer in the league. A league blessed with established attackers like Salah, Saka, Isak, Watkins, Rashford etc. 4. The player of the season is chosen based on a players impact for their club and the league in general. No one can argue that Palmer has had more impact overall than Foden. Most good players would do what Foden has done in Man city this season, but not all good players would do what Palmer has done at Chelsea deserve. |
Righteousness2:If you think the current members of the Jewish state that make us today's Israel are the same Israelites from the Bible, then I feel sorry for you. Are you aware that Israel is a Jewish state? They are about 70% Jewish. Jews do not believe in Jesus Christ. They label him as an imposter. They say Jesus is not the son of God. So, how is it that so called "Christians" who believe in Jesus Christ, align themselves with Israel? You cannot believe in Jesus Christ and then support a nation that says Jesus is an imposter, posing as the son of God. Both cannot be right. It is either the Jews are right or Christians are. Who do you think is right? |
