PHAYOL81: Unfortunately, in just one year, PBAT has actually changed things for the worse for the whole country in a very short time. Let's be honest in our assessment, this isn't about my vs your politician, govt vs opposition, this is about the country and the current dire state it is. It has NEVER been this bad in Nigeria that common garri that poor people could manage is now out of reach for them. You may be comfortable, but think about the millions of people out there who are not. The earlier PBAT realises the true situation of things on ground, the better he can make the right changes, but that starts with THE TRUTH. |

ambale: That number 7. And that's if you're not being shortchanged by the governments closest to you. In that case it's not Tinubu's faults but the irresponsibility of your immediate governing bodies. So, time you started asking the right questions from the right source. .............. @CheapHomes1, I understand your feelings and honestly, as much as you're, I and almost everyone having different opinions on #PBAT look forward to a better nation too. But we must also understand the nature and complexities of the state of our nation pre-Tinubu era borne out of decades of mismanagements, corruption and instability in systems of government. We can't just wish the change, we must work and sacrifice towards it. And in addition, you can't expect a whole and hollistic turn around of all sectors at the word “go”, it takes gradual steps. ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY! Only a magician tells you, “make a wish, close your eyes, open...” and you meet the thing right infront of you without making any effort or contribution towards the actualization. In the real world, you dream it and work tirelesly and sweating to achieve it in a specific time. @yewit37486, Nigeria ain't the God-promised GARDEN OF EDEN before Buhari's tenure. Buhari got into power on the campaign of making the change the country massively yearned for at that time as everything wasn't pleasant. The damage ain't only about BUHARI's administration but about six decades of mismanagement, corruption and instability in systems of government as previously mentioned. Any sane individual can't honestly believe such would go away in a twinkle of an eye. So, you have it: the Tinubu administration is fixing the rots accumulated over decades and can only do that overtime. Thanks |

wman:First off, the so-called Landmark you indicated in the bolded section of #4 WASN'T demolished! In fact, that place reopened over one week ago for public use, and the owner of that place was criticized heavily online (after reopening for overstating the situation of things with regards to the road construction and demolitions). Only the beachfront area was taken over because it is in the right of way, meaning that it legally belongs to the Federal Government and the oceanfront can be acquired and used for the public good. The BIGGEST losers of the demolition on Victoria Island were Mami Chula Beach Resort and the Oniru Royal family who rule over Victoria Island and the former Maroko area (now Victoria Island extension and parts of Lekki Phase 1). They lost some infrastructure there in the right of way. The newly constructed and opened multimillion USD Mami Chula Beach Resort owned by Bolaji Ariyo was the BIGGEST loser of property among the beach resorts because the entire structure was demolished to make way for the Lagos to Calabar Coastal Highway construction. Mami Chula Beach Resort Demolition Video Below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrNG0dDMBT0?si=r6925_vvu38rqAcP =>https://www.nairaland.com/8079520/bolaji-ariyos-mamichula-beach-lost Second, the Dangote Refinery you referenced in #2 is indeed where it is today because of the assistance given to Aliko to site the multibillion USD project at Lekki Free Trade Zone in Ibeju-Lekki by the Lagos State Government led by the now President Bola Tinubu when he was Governor. (Ondo and Ogun States were the original sites for the Dangote Refinery but due to bureaucracy, he moved it to Ibeju-Lekki which already had a FTZ). The Federal Government also assisted him all the way in ensuring that the refinery got crude oil as feedstock and he did emphasize many times in the media his gratitude to the Federal Government and President Tinubu for ensuring that things work smoothly at that Refinery. Already from media reports, Dangote Refinery has reduced the cost of both diesel and aviation fuel from over N1800 to below N1000 and Aliko Dangote did make a succinct pledge last week that from June 2024, the importation of fuel or PMS would END with the final installation of an advanced refining device for PMS production that is currently ongoing. Third, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) from the U.S. is way cheaper than Nigeria's Bonny Light, and other crude oil sources, so, a refinery such as Dangote Petrochemical Refinery can get crude oil feedstock from anywhere to complement the ones sourced from Nigeria. It's all about maximization of profits. Refineries such as Dangote will become fully profitable in just two years and existing European refineries managers are already concerned about their own survival because Dangote Refinery has disrupted the order of refined fuel production and distribution in the medium to long-term. The most important thing though is to lower the cost of fuel for folks back in Nigeria with CNG and/or cheaper PMS production so that it would lead to lower costs of doing business and reduce the cost of feeding and transportation. A hungry man is an angry man. |

PHAYOL81: You mentioned Buhari 3 times, but Buhari isn't the one that made policies that seriously impacted the country in the last 1 year. It's clear you are still avoiding the truth which is that PBAT significantly worsened the state of the country in 1 year. If you can't fix something, at least leave it the way you met it, at the time Buhari left, Nigerians could still afford to eat. I know you don't want to admit the truth, but that's fine because eventually it will stare you in the face to the point of not being able to deny it. Ciao. |

PHAYOL81: You still don't get my point I don't need the government for anything, I'm not poor and not rich I run a business, and the amount I expend these days with low quantities is like three times of what it used to be We normally purchase a bundle of paper around 5-7k before and now we buy just one rim for same 5k So the only way I can enjoy the government is when the inflation comes real down 1 Like |
