I dont really understand how this Italian Embassy operate. My younger brother submitted his lavoro(work permit) Visa application form, along with his passport since on the 23rd of september, 2010. My mum also submitted her family reunion visa application form/passport sometime in january this year. On each occasion, they where asked to start checking from 2weeks time. But up till this very moment, non of the visa/passport is ready for collection. We call almost on daily basis, they will always ask us to call the next day or the day after. Recently, they gave us a link through which we can track the applications, it saved us the stress of calling, but the issue is still not solved. Does it actually take this long to get a visa from the italian embassy? Can someone pls enlighten me on what is going on and advice me on what to do?

In some countries it takes long time like up to 1 year as stated like that of Norway. Be patient.

The Pakistan example should serve as forewarning to Naija. We cannot allow Naija to be the new battleground. As the Yankees come in, so will Al-Quaeda follow them in. They should go and fight their wars elsewhere.

Nigeria could ally with USA in so many ways that could be helpful to both countries without the so-called security pact with the United States of America to enable the latter establish a military base in Nigeria for hunting down Al Qaeda elements in the country.

It is unfortunate Africans are aligning themselves for neo-colonialism. I am afraid Professor Tam David-West is absolutely correct on this issue.

Al qaeda is not a serious problem in Nigeria. What we have here are Brothers. They are part of us and our government can handle the situation. On the issue of few foreigners from neighbouring countries, we also don't need help on that.

If we have any pact with America on Al Qaeda, that is the real begining of our troubles and problems.
