The driver on the first shift would hand over to the second driver after 8 hours driving. Then after another 8 hours the first driver would take over again making his driving hours 16 hours that day. While the second driver would drive 16 hours the second day. So they rotate it like that daily.

Or they can make it 4-4 hours after the first 8 hours driving.
