As for the camera, GCAM is now available for download for all Android devices using Snapdragon processors, a quick YouTube search will help you get the best GCAM for your Snapdragon device.

Bros security updates is more than 3 years tho. And the timeliness for OS updates is not fixed for the phones. Thats the minimum you'll get. It could be more than 3 years eventually.

And yes you cannot use Gcam for most exynos powered phones, and not all androids can use it. Even they can, you have to root your phone first before you do.

I have watch a lot of oneplus 6t vs pixel 3xl performance test and oneplus beat it hands down.

The pixel 3xl had to reload most of it app in the background, note that oneplus have more RAM even at that the oneplus is optimise, you can't take that away from them.

Do your research.

Well, I've used both.

And for day to day usage, guy there are alike in many ways. The OP should just choose based on his aesthetic preference. Anything else na just wash for reviewers honestly.

Go for the OnePlus honestly. The OnePlus 6t is much better than the pixel 3xl hardware wise. OnePlus 6t has an Amoled display, a bigger screen (if you are a fan of big screens), both phones use the same processor but the pixel 3 xl's processor is underclocked which means the OnePlus 6t will be faster, OnePlus 6t also has a better camera hardware, bigger RAM, bigger battery and faster charging speed. OnePlus also receives 3 years os updates like Google pixel phones so you won't be missing any thing. Pixel 3 xl is also an ugly device with a disappointing notch design.
As for camera, Google GCam is always available for download online if you are interested in testing it out

Well put together analysis i must say, but I have used both devices and I can't tell you, nothing beats that pixel 3xl.

The everyday user is not concerned with speed or processor. They just want to get things done. The pixel is meant for that.

The notch you are talking about is not a big deal. You get used to it asap. And the screen is Amoled. I don't think its LCD.

The pixel will get far more support compared to the oneplus. Lets not even argue about that one
