miz4oxley: Bros, So, are you saying he should do with his passport DOB which is quite different from the one he used for him? And, you need to know his original DOB is on his WAEC Boss? What's your advice?
if his original DoB is on the WAEC, he should first make sure his WAEC is complete that his is not presenting two results with 2 DOB. If its only one result, he should then use that of int'l passport and then swear an affidavit to cover that of WAEC. Its not a problem. The only problem there is that he should abandon his original DoB and use the one given to him on passport.

miz4oxley: Morning Nairalanders in here. A friend of mine just got a call from a total stranger, telling him he's a lucky DV winner yesterday. And, my friend was surprised and said it 419 cos he never registered for the 2014 DV, but one young man in Ondo state registered him with his details he got on his NYSC passing out service photobook. Luckily he won, but there are some issues, he's thinking might not make him opt for the programme and just jettison the stuff. The age the guy used for his name is 4years older than his real age which reflects on his WAEC certificate which might be confirmed, and he also registered same details with his ECOWAS passport, and has applied to the UK and once refused. What do you think he can do now. Cos, he's giving up already and lost hope. I've been encouraging ma dude, and I told him I'll help him make enquiries here on what could be done to fix this, and help this dude. I think he needs it tho!huh? Pls, help mates, OP, Successful and prospective winnershuh?
There is no need giving up on it just like that. He should first confirm by himself that he is a selectee before taking any other step.
Secondly, if the details he registered with his ECOWAS passport are facts, he not be afraid. He can tell the CO that the EDv was registered by a someone that doesn't know his actually.
Thirdly, he should ask the guy if the registration was done as a single or married applicant. If its single, he should go for it but its married he should think seriously before going for it, he should be sure he is ready to bear whatever may come out of it. And also, if he wants to pursue it as married, he should be sure to have the finance to prove to the CO beyond every reasonable doubt that the woman is his.

Kunlexymoore: You are welcome my guy. I definitely missed ur contributions. I could not help but ask for ur whereabouts especially at some points when the house was becoming boring and questions were posted with no answers. While I 'understood' why some people went silent perhaps because they've gotten their VISA and needed to concentrate on something else, I was particularly bothered about your disappearance shortly after u announced to us you've gotten ur 2NL and waiting for ur interview.

Anyway, thank God you are back and I wish you SUCCESS in your forthcoming interview. My guess is that you went to spend time with God as you did earlier, and my God will not disappoint you. He will show up at your point of needs! Best wishes!!!
my brother thank you so much for the concern. As if you knew the exact reason why I went away. I'm thanking God for your success so far and also for the ones coming ahead. You will never miss out on anything prepared for you from heaven
I got a notification that you sent me a personal message. I couldn't read it after trying severally to. I would like to have any of your contacts; email, pin, mobile and fb. Mine is on my contact pls. I will be expecting your pls. Thanks once again for the wishes and may God bless.

uniqueprivacy: Hi junkerhill, you can reach me with my e-mail address: unique_k2003@yahoo.com
To answer your question for the benefit of other members, the evaluation option I opted for was the WES ICAP course-by course evaluation since, it covers professional certification, professional licensing, employment and education. Though is the most expensive and goes for $205. For the transcript application just print two copies of the application form and fill each separately for ND & HND. Once you send your application to school ensure follow up on your school to get the transcript posted and note that you will bear the cost for processing and sending to WES. Also ensure that you make your payment to complete your application before your document gets to WES.
Thanks brother. My question has been answered. I was kkinda confused on how many forms I have to print. I also opted for ICAP course by course, just that I'm yet to pay.
One more question brother.
There is a place for on the application form in which WES REF NUMBER is required. My question is this: (1): did you include yours in the application form before sending?
(2): how did you get yours?
(3): Is there how I can get a copy of the evaluated transcript?
(4): How long does it take for the transcript to be evaluated?
Thanks so much brother. Hope I'm not asking too much question?
TravelRe: Diversity Visa Immigrant? Welcome To America by junkerhill(m): 6:08am On May 21, 2013
uniqueprivacy: Please it seems I am the only one in Pennsylvania, can any member who is this state respond with 'I am here with you', because I have rarely seen this name being mentioned on this thread, all I see is TX, NY, MD, MA, NJ, etc. haba! what about PA, hope I am not in the wrong place, Lol! I am really feeling lonely here.
It's been a month and three days now since I cam into the state as single, I have gotten my GC, SSN & learners permit, but not gotten a job yet, I came in with HND in Elect/Elect and have sent my result to WES for evaluation and awaiting the evaluation as I have a strong passion to continue in my major. At the main time, I have applied to several small jobs just to be able to work and gain experience over here since they seem not to consider anything gotten outside the US(discrimination), yet it seem nothing is coming forth even as little as sales associate (grammar, na sale boy/girl 4 naija). I spoke with someone yesterday, who is now a citizen, and the person advised me not to use my highest level of education when applying for jobs that are meant for high school holders, that this people are strict with their specific job requirement, that this could be one of the major reasons I have not been given an offer. Secondly, I should not just apply online to any job vacancy I see online with my SSN, that it is better to find the address and go to the company or the organization's location and apply using their own system, as many of them make provision for this, to avoid identity theft on my SSN. I don't know how true all these are (JJC), and I have been doing all that. God help me.
My host is really nice, but does not have much time for me, my major challenge is mobility since there is no public transport in my area(Yardley PA) except for taxi, which is very expensive for me to move around on my own. I cant think of buying a car now knowing the cost of maintenance and insurance as my host advised me to, when I haven't started earning any income.
Please your contributions and advice from experienced members of this forum on these points I have raised will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Lord I rest in your hands.
Brother pls can I have your fb ID. There is something I wish to ask you concerning you concerning WES evaluation cos just like you, I want my HND transcript be evaluated by WES. I have applied but yet to complete the registration because I have not paid. I want to know how you filled your request form on OND and HND. And also the kind of evaluation you applied for, if its course by course or any other evaluation method the have.

Yahoot: Hello house. I am from Republic of Moldova, this is my first post here, and I was one of the chosen, but I have a little problem. I misspelled a letter in my surname in the application form.(Right:Sestacovschi; Wrong\Misspelled: Sestacovshi). I don't know what to do now. I have read the posts from 2013 DV winners meet here, but I am still confused. Please help me, what should I do?
you need not to worry about it brother. They understand there's bound to be som human errors while filling the form. The CO will ask you the correct one so as to correct it by himself/herself on the day of you interview.

I congratulate everybody that was selected. I pray the Lord will fight your battles to complete what He has already started in your life and may your heart desires be granted.
I will advice anybody filling his forms to ask questions before filling to avoid unnecessary mistakes that could lead to visa denial.
If you are married and initially entered the EDV as single, maintain your status as single. If you already have a child before you played the EDV but didn't include him/her while playing initially, Still maintain you don't have a child unless the child was given birth to after you played the EDV.
Don't be in a hurry to send your form to kcc. Always Cross check your forms very well and make sure you sign where necessary before sending (via courier or email) form to avoid your forms being dropped aside. Your forms will still be received even if you send it on January 2014.
Wait till you are current or have received your 2NL before going for your medical and Police report to avoid expiration before your interview appointment date.
Wish you all the best. We will all meet someday in America.

OneGuyLikeDat: U must sign it before sending it to them. U can use adobe for that or print and sign then scan. Get the latest adobe to be able to sign with it
Make sure you sign the forms before sending them or they wont be attended to. I failed to sign part 1 of the ds 230 and I was sent a mail by kcc, asking me to download another form, fill, sign and send. It cost me extra money and also delayed my 2NL.

HOUSE PLEASOOOOO MY MOM WENT TO OUR NEAR BY HEALTH CENTER TO GET HER BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND ALLSO DO HER NPC ATTESTATION AND WAS TOLD IS 10THOUSAND NAIRA PLEASE IS THERE ANY PLACE SHE CAN DO IT APART FROM THE EAST AND A PLACE WER IS CHEAPER COS I SAW SOMEONE SAYING IS 2500 OR 3000 NAIRA
Firstly, your Mum doesn't need the birth cert from the hospital. The NPC birth cert covers it all. She can obtain it from any state of the federation. I did mine in Anambra state at the cost of #2500. I believe the cost is still the same at Enugu and Owerri.
Lastly, she should not forget to go with a sworn affidavit from High court.

My friend said he applied for visa last year FEB as he was in a hurry to leave the country, he met and agent who fixed travelling stuff for him and filled married in his DS160 just to create ties. But he was denied visa. He played the lottery 2013 and was selected this may for further processing. He is actually single and filled his DV lottery application as single. He wants to process his DV lottery visa as single. I want to know if the Previous DS160 he filled for his business visa would affect him (married).
Salutation to everybody on this thread. Tell your friend that he has nothing to worry about.

joeonye: happy Sunday house, anybody know if there are any inexpensive hotels that are very close to the US embassy on Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria?
My brother you can hire a taxi, negotiate with d driver. He can com very early in the morning, let's say 4:30/5:00am, pick you and your family to the embassy. No matter where you stay in lagos, It won't take you more than one hour to get to the embassy if there is no traffic. That's why I said 4:30am because by then, the roads are free. When you get there, so early, don't be surprised to see people who are already there waiting for their appointment.
May success, favour, goodness and mercy follow you even as you enter the embassy tomorrow. Songs of praise shall fill your mouth and testimonies shall follow forth. Go and succeed as we wait for your testimony. In Jesus name.

My brother is a pleasant idea If there is always one or two or three seats un booked after boarding. I will inquire about that whenever I get to lagos cos no one likes spending more when there less to the equivalent of what he wants.
