Thanks for sharing, i want to ask if the VO collected your intl passport after the interview. Thaanks

victree007:
Hello House,
I had my interview this morning 06/07/2018 in Lagos and thought it wise to share my transcript. The interview lasted less than 15 minutes. The multitude that came for interview today sha. It didn’t get to my turn until 9:20AM
So here is how it all went;

VO: Have you funded?
ME: Not exactly. I haven’t exactly decided whether or not I will use a BA or SL as my uncle is currently processing an SL in Munich for me. So the outcome will determine if I’ll be using a BA or SL

VO: Okay. Please read the information on this form and sign
NB: It was a form containing blocked account confirmation details…

So I read and signed the form then passed it over to her.

VO: Why do you want to study in Germany?
ME: I want to study in Germany because the country has some of the world's top universities for geosciences, which are ranked based on their reputation and research in the field. Also, the educational system is high-class and combines theoretical teaching and practical training with the goal of ensuring a lasting/perpetual innovation. The caliber of scientists and geologists that the country has produced over time is a testament to the quality of education currently being offered in Germany. This is why I want to study there.

VO: Masters or Bachelors
ME: Masters

VO: What is the name of the course?
ME: Masters in Sustainable Mining and Remediation Management

VO: What is the title of your BSc thesis?
ME: Hydrogeological Study of Ekiadolor and Environs. I quickly asked if I should spell “Ekiadolor” for her and she said yes. After typing, I asked her to please repeat the spelling of the same (E-K-I-A-D-O-L-O-R) to be sure it was well spelt and she did.

VO: Why do you want to study this particular course?
ME: The Sustainable Mining and Remediation Management programme is a critical aspect of Geology in which I want to carry out a geoscientific and an environmental research. This area of investigation is a build-up on my undergraduate thesis in Hydrogeology and it will give me the opportunity to conduct a research on the geochemistry of acid mine drainage and its impact on water and earth resources particularly around mining exploration communities. The skills and knowledge to be gained from this programme will readily make me become a better environmental hydrogeologist.

VO: Why not study this course in Nigeria?
ME: The level of infrastructure and the quality of education offered in my home country cannot be compared to that in Germany especially when you consider some of the modules and internships involved in the programme and the fact that a teaching experimental mine is at the disposal of whoever studies this programme at TU Freiberg. Also, the unpredictable nature of education in Nigeria does not guarantee the completion of this kind of programme in record time.

VO: Why not study this course in US, UK and other English speaking countries
ME: A key motivation for me is the level of flexibility of university programmes to meet the research needs of students as well as the affordable nature of education in Germany.
NB: Me and VO go back and forth about this question before we finally agree for this response sha o
If she asks any question that doesn’t carry Germany in it, she will ask you not to mention anything about Germany in your response as well. I no know how to explain the thing pass like this.

VO: What do you know about Germany?
As we reach this question, for my mind I say we die here

ME: Germany is located in the central-western part of Europe
Its capital and largest city is Berlin
Germany has a largely temperate seasonal climate with population of about 82,8 million people
Germany is the most populous member state of the European Union and the second most populous after Russia in Europe
Germany is one of the world’s largest technologically advanced economies and It is both the world's third-largest exporter and importer of goods
Being an eco-friendly nation, Germany is currently researching about ways to transition from mainstream energy sources to renewable energy such as solar and wind energy.
Then she cuts in and asked me to wait for her to type…

ME: Can I continue the story telling?

VO: Yes please go ahead

ME: Okay. Germany operates a federal, parliamentary and democratic/representative system of government where Frank-Walter Steinmeier is the president and head of state while Angela Merkel is the chancellor and head of government in Germany.
During the period of Allied occupation, two German states were founded: West Germany, formed from the American, British and French occupation zones which formed the federal republic of Germany and East Germany, formed from the Soviet occupation zone.
Which also formed German democratic republic
On October 3, 1990, the unification of…..

VO: It’s okay It’s okay It’s okay. You want to fill up my computer with what you know about Germany, I can already see you know about a lot embassy.
For my mind I come dey say aunty na you say make I fire down like caro nao.

Eventually we both laughed to her “You want to fill up my computer” comment and then she told me that’s all, we are through with the interview.

ME: Can I ask you a question please?

VO: The interview has ended nao what else do you want again?

ME: That form you asked me to read and sign which contains the blocked account confirmation details, does signing it invalidate provision of sponsorship letter?

VO: No it does not. You can forward us either your blocked account confirmation or the sponsorship letter. Anyone is fine.

ME: Thank you for satisfying my curiosity. Have a nice day
NB: VO didn’t even ask any information regarding the sponsor I mentioned I have in Munich

I made sure I asked that last question because a lot of people have been coming here to say once you sign that form you can no longer use SL in place of BA. I doubt if any of such people ever asked their respective VOs this same question before arriving at that conclusion.
Well there you have it from the horse’s mouth – Signing that BA confirmation form does not invalidate SL in anyway. VO’s word, not mine.

HABA You people can lie,How is it possible for you to remember all what transpired between you and the VO and you dont know how the admission process works,Y ou are not a genius dude. You cant remember word for word. Lets take fake people away from here.

I am not surprised, only if you know how long i have been preparing for this interview, its not a matter of being a genius or not, i booked my visa appointment since April and i have been following this thread silently since the beginning of this year. The answers i quoted in my transcripts were truthfully the answers i gave and it was for the benefit of those who may need more facts during their interview, whats so special about my responses when you can easily get them online too.

Only if you knew how long i have waited for that interview, and for your information, i could not apply for visa interview last bcs according to the embassy last year, the consulate general was already booked out, it was painful and i didn't give up but instead, i went to Goethe Institut to register for A1 to aid my visa application despite my work schedule , just to improve on myself.

and yes i really prepared for the interview, some of my answers were paraphrased but the were my candid answers. It is not your fault though and i could have ignored you. Now i see why some people don't really like giving their transcripts or just giving brief ones.

One of the most anticipated gists is here, people refer to it as transcript, so i did my interview this week. Here is my experience.

Arrived at the embassy at 5:30am for my interview scheduled for 7 am. I met a man who is the opposite of Mr Paulinus or what is that his name again sef, i don't know this man's name but from his character and approach, he is a direct opposite of Mr Paulinus. I was the first person out about 5 visa applicants and he helped all of us one after the other in arranging the documents through his calm instructions.
By 7:10 am, they sent us inside for interview:

The moment i was invited inside by the V.O, my heart pounded small but my other parts of the body remained sounded.

V.O: Your documents
Me: here please

VO: Your visa fee of 27k
me: i quickly removed 500 naira from the 27,500 i was holding sharply (no time).

VO: Your school of admission?
me: Technical university of Berlin

VO: When did you graduate?
me: 2013
"The VO was using one small address system and it was hard for me to hear him once, i kept saying pardon!!!

VO: what have you been doing after graduation?
Me: After my graduation, i proceeded to the Nigerian Law school and was called to bar in 2014, since then, i have been a practicing lawyer.

Vo: Have you funded?
me: Yes

Vo: How much did you fund?
me: 8640 euro

Vo: who funded it for you?
me: (for my mind abi this guy think say i be yahoo boy), My elder brother funded it for me

Vo: what does he do?
me:He is businessman

VO: what is the name of masters program? and Why this course?
me: Masters in European and International Energy Law and Bla bla bla

VO: Did you learn German?
Me: Yes, i learnt the A1 level at Goethe Institut in Lagos late last year eventhough the language of instruction for my course is English Language.

V.O: Where is language certificate?
Me: its part of the documents i handed over you sir

VO: Tell me key facts about Germany
me: Germany has an estimated population of over 82million people according to 2015 report of which 59.4% of this population practice christian faith, 34.4% of this population are those people who doesn't identify with any religion and 5.5% of this population practice islamic faiths and teachings. Germany is a technologically and economically advanced country with high importation and exportation, the political system of Germany is federal, parliamentary and democratic system of government, the president is the head of state and the chancellor is the head of government. The president performs ceremonial functions a little like that of the queen of England and the chancellor carries out executive functions. In the area of education, Germany has quality education and they take pride in it, that is why germany has the highest number of noble prize winners and the first winner of this prestigious award is a German called Wilhem Roentgen who got the award in 1901 for his contribution to physics through the discovery of xray.
"i was surprised when the V.O still asked "is that all?
i quickly continued to add that Germany is home to the largest energy sector in the continental Europe and forerunner in the renewable energy deployment, at the moment, Germany is embarking on energy transition i.e. moving away from mainstream source of energy like thermol fossil fuel into full renewables such as wind energy, solar energy, biomass and biogas and all these sources will bring depletion of green house gas effect and will bring peace to global climate change.
The V.O was typing as i was given those responses.

VO: Tell me the name of the German President and Chancellor
me: Frank Walter and Angella Mekeil respectively.

Vo: What do you intend to do after your program?
me: to pack my load and come back,,,lol " my response was that, i have a plan to come back to Nigeria and initiate proposals and recommendations to various govermnent agencies responsible for energy in Nigeria on how we can also improve and have a formidable energy sector. (Eventhough na lie, who get time to come back here come dey suffer).

V.O: Thank you, we will get back to you and do you have any question.
me: (me that my leg was paining me since, question ko) lol. NO SIR!!!!
