Daejoyoung:
Orange data mining in python has been around since 1996, and still not as popular as the actual coding of machine learning/ deep learning algorithms using scikitlearn, keras and tensorflow.
At best, most of these simple software tools like Orange data mining(in Python), and Weka(in java) are good enough for visualization and some simple problems but they can hardly get you that far without the actual coding, this is why they ain't as popular as you would expect.
Exactly! any Data Scientist that don't use Python, R, Julia etc can never be taken serious. some of these tools are cool (esp for ease of learning, productivity etc) but in no way substitute for actual coding. they are not totally flexible...is like comparing D3.js with his so called Orange Data Mining. with D3.js you can do virtually anything as far as visualization is concerned compare to software tools like Orange Data Mining. Honestly I have never heard of the Orange Data Mining before.

only in labview for Engineers. Gosh how l dread that language.
Sure! use to make life easy for Scientist, Engineers etc. Some also for Educational Purposes. I personally view them as a software tools not full blown language. its just like matlab even though actual programming is done in matlab.

There are other advanced visual languages other than elementary ones like scratch.

The choice of a method of coding depends on your task. For a data analyst, visual programming gives a leverage on extracting useful insights from a given data, with professionally built models there by eliminating error and increasing efficiency unlike text-based programming.
I will be very much interested in knowing any Visual Programming you have used for Data analysis Or Mission critical tasks

Graphical programming or visual programming is a technique of programming where visual blocks connections are used to code instead of texts making it easy for non coders to implement algorithms.

A little research would do no harm before jumping into conclusions.
Visual Programming Language like Scratch are made for kids to introduce them to programming. There is no substitute for actual coding ( of course tools can help a lot and increase productivity ) . How can you learn coding by dragging and dropping icons?

If u read and try to digest what I wrote and my topic. U will understand that I am not condemning or praising a programming language rather. I am enlightening programmers what is really been popularly sought after and what one need to develop on. But u are just trying to prove here how one need to still learn programming from scratch. Not everyone must and will code in c++ or c. But knowing it is a plus but not a necessity. Rather before any company employ a c++ programmer, they would av consider a data scientist 100times in d present world.
C and C++ are assembly language as someone already said. But do u know u can build an ai, that will comfortably code in c and c++ for u and build a lot of machines, os. So y disturb urself when u can just instruct an ai what u visualise and think. And it will get done for u.
Do C++ programmer and Data Scientist do the same thing? how can one consider Data scientist over c++ programmerhuh

Do not be misled by the hype of AI, ML etc, we are still very far from achieving human level intelligence and break through if you really know how ML works.

Building AI system that can code in say C or C++ is still an active research, they are mostly Generative task. Also such system require a huge data for training, so where do u expect such a data to come from if not from human coders. You certainly don't want to use such for serious task.

You have spoken well.

Presently I can categorically tell you that coding itself is old fashioned. "Graphical programming" is currently the order of the day.

Coding is error prone and time consuming but with graphical programming, complex algorithms are embedded on a friendly user interface and programming is as easy as dragging an icon and placing it in the right direction.

What it takes a professional programmer to execute in a day can now be done by a total novice with no knowledge of programming to accomplish in a minute.

Unfortunately the majority are stalked in past glory and would rather resist change until they're totally left behind.
Seriously brohuh what a wrong and misleading write up!!!
