Before we talk about France's influence in stopping the currency (which was unfortunately true), let us talk about the English speaking West African countries. Why can't we come together to implement a single currency?
The reason we can't do that is because we are not sure of the modalities or what this currency would be based on. Gold? Cocoa?Cassava? It definitely would not do us well if based on crude oil.
We also need to improve big trade (beyond the unrecorded informal trades) amongst West Africans first. These are the issues. France is not the biggest issue in my opinion although they are a problem that needs to be dealt with (removed).
The English countries do not trust Each other and they have every reason not to because everyone has been fiscally irresponsible.
That's why the organization has no use and must be disbanded

Crumble because of Niger, Mali, and Bfaso? I don't think so. Mauritania left before, they came back after 19 years.
But I agree, ECOWAS needs to be reformed, more self dependent, and completely free of France/USA influence.
Because it is a useless organization and everyone will eventually see it.
If for 20 years you can't implement a single currency because of France's influence over the majority of nations, th n there's no need for the organization

Everyone can judge for themselves. God knows I tried 😂😄
Have you asked yourself why he said The Accra communities he video are the best developed he has ever seen in both East and West Africa?

I watched a video where nigerians were complaining that about 60% of houses in the main city of Abuja are unoccupied whereas majority of workers in the city live in the outskirts of the city.

So the entire Abuja is a scam grin grin

You must be high on some cheap weed 😂😄

Kigali beats Accra in quality of roads and buildings as well as the planning and layout of the city. Kigali also have a more efficient transport system, good sewage system, and also more organized.
Even just Ashaiman alone which is a tiny community in Accra has almost the same length of sewage network as all of Kigali 🤣😂

Yes Kigali has an organized transport system, as efficient as Accra (not even possible).

Accra has more paves roads than all of Rwanda ( you can talk about road quality when your roads are paced)....

Anyway, this was a distraction 🤣😂
You're probably ashamed of Nigeria hence hiding behind Kigali

Electricity consumption and water supply are not what's used to say a city looks more developed.

For instance, Accra is a bigger city than Kigali and has more people, so the argument of electricity, water consumption is useless as long as Rwandans have good enough electricity and water for their population. So this your criteria makes no sense. It's even better to use the number of skyscrapers, good roads, real estate valuations, transport system (including trains), sidewalks, parks, beaches, organization, cinemas, gyms, financial institutions, quality of buildings, etc..

In all, good roads and good buildings as well as the layout of a city are the first things people speak about when they talk about
development. Others come later but these are for first impressions and it's what I'm talking about here.
and that is why you're comfortable living in a city without water or electricity supply (those kinds of cities will never be as developed)

You can check the difference between South Korea and North Korea at night ...it's the difference between Kigali Abuja on one hand and Accra.

And that is why I didn't just pick Kigali but picked up the entire Rwanda 🤣😂

What is good enough electricity if you can only put up one build ? 😂🤣😂

Just what I spoke about grin grin
What these mumu people think about is numbers/quantity and not quality nor ratio

For a country of over 233million people you have just 170 universities and you are happy declaring it.

Even Ghana with just about 34million people have over 66 Universities

Do your own calculation and tell us which country has enough for its population
the number does not even matter, the size and infrastructure

Every thing

Accra electricity consumption alone is what the entire Rwanda demand is.

Accra water supply alone is greater than the entire demand of all of Rwanda

It's what I'm asking you. What country in West Africa has the best hospitals or school infrastructures in West Africa.
What do you think the rankings consider if not infrastructure amongst others?
There's nothing like having the best hospitals ....you either have good hospital infrastructure or you don't.

In West Africa, both Education and health care, it's been Ghana

Stop deceiving yourself my man. No fact there.

Education.. Ghana has the highest ranking school in West Africa, true. But Nigeria dominates the list of the top ten (not just one school ranking high). Nigeria has 170 universities spread across 36 states.

Healthcare..I don't know where he got that from because the rankings I see puts Lagos as the 8th best city in terms of Healthcare in Africa. The other cities higher than Lagos are in South Africa (with about 5), Kenya (1), Morocco.

Social Amenities..huh

Sports...Where is the data?

Entertainment and Leisure...For him to include this category shows he is really high on something 😄😂
Now Abuja has become Lagos ?

We are talking infrastructure and you say rankings 🤣😂

Well that is your opinion. Wode Maya uses the word development at the beginning and ranks Abuja his most developed Nigerian city. So he was clear on what he was talking about in the context of Nigeria and Ghana. I'm sure if he was asked to compare Abuja and Capetown for instance, he would have put some qualifiers to say Capetown is more developed but Abuja is quieter and stuff like that but in thinking of Ghana and Nigeria, it is clear he considers both Abuja and Kigali as up there.

You can disagree with Wode Maya but it is his opinion.

Also can you give me the data that shows Accra has more paved roads than Abuja? Because that seems unbelievable.
Typical noise

When it came to the details, you finally chicken out 😀
Politics › Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Just30: 6:09am On Jan 27, 2024
GeneralDae:
Nah, this is the full context below. What that guy did was cut and join.

Wode Maya started by speaking of "development and everything". He was even asked before this, what city is the most developed in Nigeria? and in his opinion he ranks Abuja no 1 ahead of Lagos.

He then goes on to describe Abuja and why he feels so. He listed things like beauty, organized, serenity, traffic, everything on point and even infrastructure at the end. What else do you think he left out in the entire context?

He didn't try to say Lagos is better than Abuja in some aspects but Abuja is better in serenity only. Nah, rather Abuja is his most developed Nigerian city. Period. It can only compare to Kigali aside Kigali's cleanliness. This means to Wode Maya, Kigali is more developed than any Ghanaian or Nigerian city aside Abuja. Simple as ABC. This is the quote in full context:

" I saw Abuja is different in terms of development. I think they took their time to develop Abuja. So when you go to Abuja you'll see that everything is like on point, everything in Abuja is on point like the road system, the traffic system, and everything. It's not like Lagos, if you go to Lagos, everything is here there. But Abuja is like organized, I don't know
how to explain like I don't know any city in Ghana I can use to compare Abuja, no no. It's like well organised, let me say Abuja is something like Rwanda Kigali but Kigali is cleaner than Abuja but that's the only thing I would say, Kigali was cleaner than Abuja but Abuja was beautiful, green, it's like a green city, infrastructure"...
Because Abuja is not quite there at Accra's level yet.

Since we all know that Kigali is quite underdeveloped just like Abuja, there's quite an understanding as to why he compared both.

Infrastructure wise, Abuja does not have as much paved roads as Accra, neither is it greenery than it as the Green city index has shown, does not have as much water supply or electricity supply as Accra, does not come close to Accra on health or sporting infrastructure or entertainment infrastructure.

You see where I'm going .....now you can continue to make noise
All the above are based on facts

In the context of it serenity as that was the pretext to the conversation.

Hope the English is not to big for your pea size brain. 😂🤣

If Lagos of 18 million people can't get 200 million gallons of water through their pipes per day, what makes your think Abuja will be able to pump 150 million gallons of water as Accra?

Never ever compare your undeveloped villages to Accra, they are not in Accra's league yet.
