TayserMahrii: You are still using the locomotives the British left you 60 yrs ago. Poor Ghana. Pull up your socks. We are using the ones we bought after independence and have rebuild them to suit modern standards. Adding latest communication technologies and signals and switches. Too bad you guys in Kenya went to spend billions to buy something that have existed for over 50 years now. Did you guys not see better trains on the market? |

TayserMahrii: Lets talk when you have decent units not steam powered trains that derail on every stretch. Guy those trains are refurbished trains that have been running for 60 years now. Too bad you guys picked up huge monies to go and buy the same thing. You should learn from Senegal and Ivory Coast |

TayserMahrii: It doesnt simply mean it will happen because it is possible. because it is possible and they have the money is the exact reason why it will happen |

TayserMahrii: Ease on the stories chief. They have become stale and boring. Post the best trains you have in Gold Coast. now you are coughing you guys went to buy old gorogoro trains at such huge cost. a technology that is fading out |

TayserMahrii: What are the chances ? Have the country we're talking of in mind. This is not just any country. It's a country with a well established legend regarding power issues. It doesn't mean it is not possible. |

TayserMahrii: Post em gwongoros The gorogoro you guys use currently is of lower standard than what we use on our western line Though they are of similar design |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Just30: 1:15pm On Jun 12, 2020 |
you can jump from 4000MW to 21000MW in 3 years when you have the money. It takes 3 years to set up a generating unit TayserMahrii: You can't jump from the current 4000 MW output to 21000 mW in 3 yrs. Plus we already humbly told you your problem is transmission not production. You could even produce 50,000 mw but still not use much if it. On a second thought, you probably want to use generators to power your electric trains, which is ofcourse very impressive. |

i know, you guys always need to be taught a thing or two daily because you had poor up bringings. The expanse of two economies are compared using PPP. And that shows hows smaller your economy is to Ghana and Ethiopia. You guys are at the same level with Tanzania. Mkenya2019: Yes, he is a special need kid. |

Mkenya2019: You can see what non-mineral broad-based growth can do. Now Ghana with all the minerals has nothing Minerals contribute 10% to the Ghanaian economy, so the Ghanaian economy is far broader and more diversified than your economy |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Just30: 12:09pm On Jun 12, 2020 |
Since you dont know The Mining industry employs a million people and that is 4.5 million secondary beneficiaries. 10% direct contribution to the Ghanaian economy is not a small value chain and cascading effects. 30 million Ghanaians benefits directly by a reduced tax burden and it associated beneficiary extensive social services which they enjoy. Cocoa has a less reach on the Ghanaian economy as compare to all the other crops in the value chain of the Agric sector. there are 100,000 cocoa farmers. It is always good to have various kinds of organizations who have the financial muscles to monopolise certain aspect of your economy before corporation of foreign origin does. That is where SPRINGFIELD, GNPC,EXPLORCO and Ghana Gas comes in. All of which are institutions with enough financial clout to own the Ghanaian gas sector. Mkenya2019: That is called splitting of hairs - and even if we allowed you it - you can see the multiplier can be listed in one page.
What you call Ghanian companies - including SpringField - is akin to claiming Dangote getting richer is akin to Nigeria getting richer.
Those are individual players - but does 30M Ghanian feel the oil and gold industry? Beyond the small taxes it pays. Nope.
They feel COCOA more - and yet Cocoa contribution to Ghana GDP is minuscule compared to Gold and Oil |

Kazikazi: I stopped reading when you said 1.5 million tones of gold is mined by locals! Do you know a tonne of gold goes for over 40 million dollars? Now multiply 1.5 million × 40 million dollars. So your locals gets that huge cash!??
Lies lies lies. Everything you have is a scam https://www.theafricareport.com/20077/ghanas-traditional-and-state-powers-must-collaborate-to-halt-illegal-mining/Small-scale mining forms an important sector of Ghana’s economy, employing one million people directly and supporting the livelihoods of about 4.5 million people. The industry accounts for 35% of the country’s total gold production. |

Yes it does For instance, 1.5 millon Ounces of gold is mined by Ghanaian gold mining companies. 2. All large scale mining companies outsource most of their mining services activities to Ghanaian companies like E&P and others whom they pay 500million dollars to each year for a lot of their mine development activities. Check the numbers of mining companies and you will see how much is going to Ghanaian companies. 3. cost of operation to pull one tonne of gold is 680 dollars. Multiply 680 by 5 million ounces and you will get the amount of money spent in Ghana. 4. All the large gold mines combine makes only 2 billion dollars in profit after tax of which some dont even have whole ownership. For oil, All of the gas at Tullow fields goes to Ghana at no cost. The ownership structure is such that GNPC owns i think 15 or 20% of their oil production before they gets to pay taxes. Most of their service provision contracts are awarded to Ghanaian companies. ENI gas field is 30% owned by GNPC and Explorco Springfield gasfield is wholly owned by the Ghanaian company. (the largest) Aker Energy field is 10% owned by GNPC which they can increase by the agreement. (It was dropped from 30% to give the company more lead way to explore) Now go and spin your head. Mkenya2019: No it doesn't.
Start with Gold - most of it stays in Anglo Ashanti accounts in London and Newyork. It's not Ghana gov selling gold. It's AngloAshanti selling it
And then paying mining royalties - and taxes - that at best is probably 30% of gold production.
The same with Oil - most of it goes to Tullow and it stays in London
And all you get back is oil royalties and tullow taxes - maybe 500M - per annum to Ghana treasury.
As for employment - you can easily find how large the Tullow Ghana and Anglo Gold Ashanti workforce is - maybe 1000 staff each.
Now look at your cocoa - its brings maybe 2.5B dollars - but employ maybe 300K thousands Ghanian farmers.
Those are the industries that fight poverty.
And better if you go to manufacturing.
Always remember GHANA doesn't export Oil or GOLD - it's Tullow and AngloAshanti who does that - and of course Chinese smugglers.
Ghana earns mining royalties - and whatever Tullow or AngloAshanti wants to pay as taxes! |

Kazikazi: You are mad.You exported close to 10b dollars worthy of gold.Almost all that monies is in the pockets of multinationals. Same applies to your oil.Hydrocarbons and minerals in Africa is a scam.Very little is benefiting average man .No wonder why your fellows trek the Sahara desert en route to Libya.
Wages vs cost of living.. Earning more doesn't necessarily mean a better life.A cost of living is a main factor here You are crazy and knows nothing we export 8 billion worth of gold and 6 billion of it stays in Ghana in the form of taxes, cost of operation which goes to Ghanaian companies, wages and Ghanaian owned mines. And for the oil industry, 99% of the jobs are held by Ghanaians. And most of the monies goes to Ghana in the form of Gas, taxes and shares. This is why our people live better lives and live in good houses |

Kazikazi: Deviding the total GDP to number of citizens gives u per capita of each country. But,most of GDP from African nations are from hydrocarbons and minerals, and these sectors are dominated by foreigners who usually employs less locals and shifts the whole profits abroad.Very little money is left to African nations. That is the main reason why we have bigger GDP in some nations, but with a huge numbers of poor folks.A quick look at most folks who drowns on meditanean sea on way to europe will prove my points. The hydrocarbons industry doesn't work like that kiddo. and we are not even talking about per capita but wages and expenditures. |

SA has an abundance which people are crying for renters |
