rvp20182: Ignorance is your second name. Countries sign international treaties. NIle river is very important for Egypt and Sudan. Ethiopia just managed to sneak in when Egypt was in turmoil - and they have to bend to Egypt demands - and fill up the dam slowly - for many years - otherwise they will not know peace. Egypt will even bomb the dam if need be.
You think you can just dam and use Nile to irrigate - while some countries only source of fresh water is nile? international treaty was sIGN with no country around lake Victoria. The treaty was between Egypt and Britain. In international law, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda are all not signatories to the treaty and the treaty is non-binding on them. All treaties signed by the British government became void as countries gain their self rule. Ignoramus |

Do you even know internationals law? All resources found on your territory are yours Keep making excuses Ethiopia does not need anyone permission to dam river Nile and it tributaries Kenya does not need anyone permission to use lake victoria water. As to how the water usage will be shared can be agreed by the countries that borders lake Victoria rvp20182: So why is Rwanda part of Nile. The source of river nile is lake victoria.
Please GOOGLE - idiota.
The treaty restricts Kenya from using waters from Lake Victoria in the west, which is a source for the River Nile. The Kenyan Government says the treaty benefits Egypt and Britain and it will no longer honour it.Dec 12, 2003 |

rvp20182: Google, idiota More than 300 million people rely on the waters of the River Nile. The Nile river basin contains over 10% of Africa’s landmass, in 11 countries: Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Egypt, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea and Kenya. Many of these countries rely almost exclusively on the Nile as their source of freshwater. I'm not referring to the mile river but Lake Victoria You are at liberty to use it. |

IDGAF what you or your fellow hobbits think of Kenya ..as long as I know how the situation on ground actually is I couldn't care less
What's the situation on ground in Ghana Is it true your country is a shithole beyond the exeggareted paper stats Ghanaians are flourishing while Kenyans are starving those are the situations on the ground. Of course i care about what the international media blast on the channels 24/7 because they make it look like All of Africa looks like the desperate cry for help images they get from Kenya. Ghana is not a Shithole country Everything here works. Those are the reason why Ghana is way up there on the levels of development. |

This is the stupidest thing You have access to water on your land but you wont use it. You are not part of that treaty hence you have no excuse of not using it. You don't need to build a dam to be able to use lake Victoria water. The water use is between Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and the other countries that surround it So , use lake Turkana water to irrigate northern Kenya and farm rvp20182: Lake Victoria is part of river Nile - and there is a treaty that guarantees Sudan and Egypt 80% of the water - and 12 other countries share that 20%. You cannot just wake up and start building a dam along river nile system. Egypt and Sudan have 'veto' power.
Most Kenya other lakes are salty except Lake Turkana and Lake Naivasha.
Most of kenya flowers and horticulture come from Lake Naivasha.
Lake Turkana - is fed from Omo river from Ethiopia - and Ethiopia have used it for irrigation and dam it. It enters lake Turkana and the water is alkaline. Lake Turkana has torquise color of that...not suitable for drinking or irrigation. There is acquirer discovered in Turkana and water is also salty. |

you keep talking like the typical fool from kenya Nigeria consumes 25 million tonnes of Wheat The produce 19 million tonnes and at best 20m rvp20182: Fact is you're just an idiot blubbering what your barely understand. Nigeria imports 5.5m - and produce 60,000 tonnes wheat. That is 99%. Kenya produce 400K tonnes of wheat - while consumption is 1m tonnes.
You're just an incorrigible fool. Ghana probably produces zero wheat and import a lot. |

Kenya have Access to Lodwar and lake turkana Kenya has lake victoria access all of which can be used for irrigation rvp20182: You - both - each have a major river - Niger and Volta - and your share of arable land is 5 times or more Kenya - and yet you import more food than us. |

rvp20182: LOL; 60M tonnes of wheat. Make that 60K tonnes of wheat. You import 99% of your wheat needs. And you know as people become wealthier - they want wheat products - not sorghum. 60M tonne is a lot of wheat.
MODERNIZE your hoe-powered agriculture to respond to the changing taste palate.. Fact is, Nigeria produce 80% of it wheat consumption while kenya produce a mere 10% (150,000 tonnes) of it wheat consumption |

We dont have river Niger Northern Ghana is a water-scarce area yet it is not an excuse for them |

rvp20182: Hobbit,
I am pretty much used to your nonsense by now. I have given your stats from your own treasury minister, agriculture and now trade - and you come up with same lame excuses. And yet in cement consumption - you run away because some cement industries lobby fart.ed some figures. We dont have a treasury minister you are making noise https://www.businessghana.com/site/news/general/201562/Government-to-ban-rice-imports-by-2022In 2019, Ghana only imported 140,000 metric tonnes of rice That is 57 Million dollars of rice. It is part of the reason why Ghana total import has reduced from 13 billion dollars to 11 billion dollars. Ghana Consumes 3 times more cement than Kenya. Per capita consumption is like 6 times of Kenya |

rvp20182: Hobbit, Ghana spent $1.1 billion alone on rice importation last year, according to statistics available to the country's Trade ministry. Deputy Trade Minister Robert Ahomka Lindsay who revealed this says “importation of rice takes 82% of all imports into the country”.Nov 12, 2018 you keep shouting and making noise Ghana import 580,300 metric tonnes of rice and produce between 600,000 to 800,000 metrice tonnes of rice Our total rice consumption is 1.3 million metric tonnes. Pick the most expensive cost of rice per metric tonnes and you will realise Ghana rice import cost 300 million dollars and in bad farming years 400 million. Lindsay Ahomka bundled up numbers just to have something for the media. Our total food import used to be 2.4 billion dollars Now it is 1 billion dollars at best and 1.2 billion dollars at worse. |

The northern part of most West African countries are arid. Danielnino00: They keep talking about their country being arid.
Most part of northern Nigeria is arid.. Yet they produce a large part of the food consumed in the country..
Long before Nigeria discovered oil, agriculture was the backbone of the country economy...while the south produced and export cocoa and palm oil,the north produced maize, groundnut and millet... |
