forgiveness: Of course, Aflao road is better than 6 years.
If you look at the history of Nigeria, civilians only ruled for 10 years out of 40 years of military regime, before we settled for democracy in 1999.
Believe me when the civilian ruled from 1960 - 1966, we were the envy of the world. I don't want to go into full details.
Though the military regime executed big projects but it was left to decay. Like I said, it was left to decay under the same military regime. As you have rightly said that maintenance culture is the major setbacks but it is no longer the case with some states government but the federal government is still very much guilty of this.
Most of the highrise buildings were done during the civilian rule.
Is Tema the first master planned city in West Africa? Can you give the date of creation?
The last time a Ghanaian friend visited Abuja, he realized he was fed with lies about Nigerian cities. In short, he was blown away.
I can only choose Accra ahead of Abuja if business is considered but in terms of infrastructures, please don't go there. Abuja has gone pass what you saw or think.
What are the factors that made Ghana the aviation hub? Last year, I saw construction going on at the airport.
Are they building new airport?
I was impressed with the Navy clinic beside the airport.
But if you think Accra will overtake Lagos as the regional and economic hub then you must have great faith. Tema was created in 1952 http://tdctema.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1&Itemid=3 |

Nowenuse: Hmm ok
Hausa is not agressive i disagree, it's depending on tje speakers. Besides, most Ghanaian Hausa speakers i've met spoke very simplified Hausa just like what those of us in Central Nigeria speak, not like those native speakers in Core-northern nigera.
But which tribal language would you say is the most dominant in GH or most spoken? I would say Twi, Fante,Ewe,Hausa,GA,Bono . Among all of them, most people consider Hausa to be the most aggressive. In every arguments, once you start speaking Hausa Everyone knows what's next |

Rosskii: They do? How many megawatts do they produce? Illiterate. Ghana produce 5200 plus megawatts of electricity but available generation capacity is almost 4000 because some plants are offline for repairs and others are not at full capacity |

Nowenuse: So, do you speak Hausa?
What percentage of Ghanaians can you say speak Hausa?
Is Hausa growing as a lingua franca in Ghana or declining? no I don't speak Hausa because it's aggressive and it's mostly spoken in zongo communities. I also missed the opportunity to learn the language in secondary school and that was the end . There are no statistics yet to gauge the popularity of the language but I can say it's popular in Accra |

Nowenuse: Ok thanks.
It seems like many Ghanaians speak Hausa as a 2nd language or lingua franca from what i have observed.
Are these mostly the muslim Ghanaians from the northern regions? Many Nigerians think that there are many indigenous Hausas in Ghana, but i think otherwise. Can you pls clear this doubt for me? since everyone almost speaks the same language, its been difficult to hide stuffs underneath the clouds of language hence Hausa. Hausa has become a much more needful language because, you can travel anywhere up north with the language and you won't be in need. Why? It's easy to learn, speak and understand unlike French |

Nowenuse: Ok, Are u Akan by ethnicity?
I really want to understand the etho-linguistic make up of Ghana. Can you help me with this? It seems like Akan is a cluster of ethnic groups? If yes, does it have a unifying tongue? What ethnic group is your current president from? Most Ghanaian musicians e.g Sarkodie what language is that that they usually sing in? There are 75 ethnic groups in Ghana Each has it own unique Language The Akans are a combination of several groups with the same culture and traditions with some similarities in Languages. Among the Akans, there are various dominant Languages like TWI,FANTE,NZEMA and AHANTA, SEFWI, BONO, and etc MOST musicians in Ghana sing in either of these four languages FANTE,TWI, GA, or EWE |

GERALD710: Lool!!Kenyan Banks that are ranked Number 30 and above in terms of size!!!All the Nigerian banks in Kenya are tiny ,loss making entities that cannot challenge either our local banks, Government banks or the multinationals based in Kenya. UBA,GT Bank,Fidelity Bank(which is not even the same as the Nigerian one) and Ecobank are the few banks that make losses in Kenya's banking sector. ECOBANK is not a Nigerian Bank. |

What percentage of their income does the average Ghanaian consumer spend? hmm thats Ghana's problem now People dont save that much but in every situation , there are two sides http://www.tradingeconomics.com/ghana/household-spendingcertain calculations put it higher because Ghana is relatively an expensive place to live |

fanficgirl: That's about the threshold for middle class according to how the article defined it. yes its the threshold and those at that threshold can easily fall back and risk poverty. The article stressed on 10 dollars and above in it argument |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Just30: 8:42pm On May 02, 2017 |
fanficgirl: That isn't the case with this though. The article admits many in the brackets who fall are in danger of falling under the poverty threshold. According to my calculations someone who makes about 60 dollars a month can be considered middle class key word...SPENDING not income |

shervydman: u're very correct....46% are middle class. u spend about $20 dollar daily.yes...u're very rich.
The debate, titled Africa Rising – Can the Middle Class Drive Growth? and held at the Accra Mall in the country’s capital, heard most of those participating in the discussion disagree with the AfDB’s definition of the middle class as those who spend US$2-$20 a day
even those that participated in the discussion disagree......u're very rich. congratulatioNS!!! People dont like to be addressed as rich |

fanficgirl: If the middle class in USA failed though they wouldn't be at risk of being below the poverty line. Why do they define middle class as anything slightly above extreme poverty? in most cases , when you fall from the middle class bracket you dont immediately go to the poverty bracket because there is this lower middle incoe bracket that is like a safety net to hold you |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Just30: 8:10pm On May 02, 2017 |
fanficgirl: Nice! Though I would like to point out that they define middle class as someone who spends more rhan one dollar a day to 20. They even say these people can easily fall risk to below the poverty line. yeah.. why do you think, the middle income family population in the US is declining ? anyway, to correct myself the African Development Bank report i was referring to is the Progress panel Report and i think it was talked anout in their Annual Report |

Nowenuse: Yes, you argued that Tema was bigger than Abj, that was why i had to bring in the comparison in km² from screenshots.
See, am from Plateau state and Abuja was created out of my state some decades ago, it is located in my Geo-political zone, North-central.
Where did you go to in Abuja? Garki 1, Garki 11, Gwarimpa, Maitama, Asokoro, Wuse 1, Wuse 11, Jabi, CBN, Wuye, Guzape, Jahi, Utako, Durumi, Mabuchi or the other 22 districts or Abuja municipal? There are 37 districts in the 3 phases of Abuja municipal, where and where did you go??
I know that you will not be familiar with the names of these places, that's why i insisted we work with statistics, ok! i was in Abuja City itself and that was Abuja proper , I dont know whether its the place you call FCT what i know is, its the part planned from THE 90s |
