I doubt it, his prices are always good and those that need the items won’t hesitate to book them immediately. His previous buyers have also attested to their experiences with him on this forum so it’s not a case of ‘audio’ deals.

The inverter is 3.5KW and I use four panels of 555W each.

Ok, this is not bad depending on the minimum PV input specifications of your inverter. However if this fault didn’t occur from the beginning of your installation then it could be as a result of poor wiring or connections from your panels to the DC SPD. You may need to retighten all PV wire connections and screws on the DC SPD and breaker because partial connections can trigger such faults. Meanwhile, your DC breaker seems to be broken and the culprit partial connections can even be from this breaker, so check it properly and if necessary replace it with the appropriate DC breaker size.

I think it usually begins towards the evening period. In the morning, it is fine but once I return from work, around 3-4, I notice the blink again.

On Tuesday, I switched off the inverter, surge protectors and supply and put it back on, and it didn't happen again. But yesterday I did same but it didn't work until I switched off the SPDs and it ran smoothly and then I switched it back on two hours later.

I think it has to do with very low PV input from your solar panels that’s causing the error on the inverter. Maybe your solar panels are inadequate if not by 3-4pm, there will still be sunlight and the PV from the panels should be able to keep the inverter operating properly. What’s your inverter capacity and how many solar panels and their wattages.

Guys, I need your help.

For the past two days I've come back home to my Sako Solar Inverter beeping, not charging and displaying Error 51 which is an Overcharge or Surge Error.

In fact, yesterday, I had to change the SPDs just to avoid any further complications. I noticed that once I put the SPDs off, and it running on the batteries it doesn't happen.

What exactly is happening? The weather has been poor but it can't be the weather or external forces? What should I do? Does the inverter need repairs or just some code issue? Thank you.

From your fault description above, the bold line is not quite clear to me can you share the pic of the said SPDs for better clarity.

Coming from someone that own and used infared and induction cooker, I will pick an induction cooker anyday anytime over an infared cooker. What i like most about induction cooker is the speed at which it cooks, It saves more energy than infared cooker…i got few set of stainless pot at a local store here that works with induction cooker at a ridiculous cheap price…4 sets for about 20k.

I will always prefer and recommend a good infrared cooker to induction cooker for good reasons. Meanwhile, can you share the pic of your own infrared cooker.

Ok if you’re not planning to add more gadgets or expand your business, then 6kva inverter is ok but you will need a higher capacity battery like 15/16kwh for longer backup time and that will require more solar panels for charging.

For future growth and expansion in your business, I will suggest you try to go for a 15kwh/16kwh LiFepo4 battery, an 8kva hybrid inverter and increase your solar panels to either 615wx12 or 650wx10.

This is just inverter and battery installations only.. I don't use busbar for two batteries installations I just paralled them with the same cable length.. all good... I have installed both AC in and AC out breakers installed . thank you for your observation..

I can understand you now boss but it’s still better to install an AC SPD and Voltage Regulator to safeguard the setup.

Well done, but I can’t see any SPD in this your installation and you didn’t use bus bar box to combine the two high capacity batteries. No heat aerosol or fireball extinguisher installed. By the way, it’s just my personal observations.

Next time you can go for double infrared cooker if you have high battery capacity. Something like this

I bought pinnacle brand. My friend bought mama home brand and both work same way when it comes to wattage consumption when I tested them on a wattmeter.

It's normal for electrical devices to consume less wattage than rated not when they consume more wattage than rated too.

My blender rated 1500w, hardly consume more than 900w

Ok but I have never experienced that while using mine which is close to a year now. Normally, the appliance should consume lesser wattage because the rated is usually the startup surge power. But if the appliance is now consuming more wattage than the rated power while running/operating, then it’s not a genuine product.

1000w should be 1000w. 800w should be 800w.

I don’t think that should give you much concern since it doesn’t affect its function and it consumes lesser wattage than what’s indicated. My 4Ltr Qassa electric kettle rated at 2000W actually consumes 1900w while working.

Yes, induction cookers only work with pots that have magnetic base. Pots made with pure aluminum or steel won’t work on induction cookers. On the other hand, infrared cookers work with all kind of pots including clay pots and cooks evenly too.

It’s either the cooling fan is bad or the thermostat is malfunctioning. First check the label on the fan to see the voltage specs whether 12v dc or 220v ac so that you can test the fan with external power source and then change it if it’s bad. Without the cooling fan running when in operation, the thermostat will overheat and cut off power from the heating element.

Pls I need expert advise on the type of solar panels i can use for this inverter with the spec below. It's an SRNE HF-2430S80-H but my concern is that the Max PV input Current is 13A and I intend to get at least 4qty of 615W Jinko panels (to be in series) but the Max. input current for those panels exceed that of the inverter rating. I want to know and get an expert advice if this will be an issue for the inverter or if I need to go lower to say 590W panels which has about 13.36A input current.
I need advice from people here who may have the knowledge on this. And to know also if the max current for the solar panel rated is ever attained in real life. I want to be sure it's safe to use these panels with these ratings with my SRNE inverter with these specs.

I will advise you go for the 570W and increase it to 5 instead of 4 since it will cost less than the 615w. It’s important to keep to the inverter manufacturer’s specifications so as to avoid shooting yourself in the foot.

If you set the infrared cooker at 1500w which will be 1.2kw on the inverter/meter, you can cook 4 or 5 cups of beans within 45minutes and it will be very soft. So your energy consumption won’t be upto 1unit for the 45 minutes cooking.

Alright then, try add more panels because 100v PV input is just low for a 500v Vmax system. You are using it to charge the battery and also power your loads at the same time, it will eventually shorten your inverter lifespan.

The infrared cooker doesn’t consume high electricity like the regular hot plates and you can regulate the power/wattage. You can cook beans and other foods with 1200w setting on it which will be around 1000w on the inverter or pre-paid meter. One can even cook and warm foods with 800w/600w setting. Mine comes with a grilling steel for barbecue and other roasting.

25k should be able to get you 10Kg cooking gas. We, team infrared/induction cookers have escaped that gas ‘palava’.

You might be right but I disagree, my hybrid is 500v voc but I have 2units of 590w jinko (100v) and I get good yield from them and as much as 1.05kwp in peak sunlight

This is because your inverter is pulling everything it could get from your two panels just to charge your battery and
your location is a contributing factor to the high yield. If you continue to stress your hybrid inverter to charge your battery with those two panels this way, the inbuilt MPPT won’t last long. I also doubt if your panels are actually 590W since they are both generating 100v because even 650w has actual VoC.of about 50v.

No doubt, there will be a great improvement in the energy yield. It’s what i know and understand about hybrid inverters. For you to harvest a good energy yield, your PV must be at least 50% of the Max PV. Once the PV input is adequate enough, your loads will determine how the inverter will pull more energy from the panels with respect to the intensity of the sunlight.

Yes, I said your panels should be at least 6, so if you can make it 7 or more the better so long as the total PV does not exceed 450V. Hybrid inverters rely mainly on panel voltage(dc) to generate AC power (Wattage) and normally convert the excess voltage to current.

My current generation on 4x550w is 1.3kw max and it's honestly not enough cos I don't do use some things I would like to do in the afternoon like AC, ps5 etc. I prefer the battery to be filled up first before using those things. I would be able to use 3kw comfortably.

Here is the inverter specs

You will have to increase your panels to at least 6 for you to get better energy yield from your panels because from the specifications on your inverter, your PV should be at least 240v and I’m sure that your current 4 535W panels can’t produce that. Highest you can get is 40v x 4 = 160v. This is the reason for your poor solar energy harvest.

Before you conclude that your solar panels are generating poorly, you need to understand that most good hybrid inverters are designed to harvest only the required energy per time. This energy per time is a function of the load on the inverter plus the energy required to charge the battery at that point in time. If your load on the inverter is not much and you set the battery charging amp to 20a or 30a, the hybrid inverter will pull only the energy that will do the job from the solar panels even when the panels are generating more energy. If you want to confirm the maximum energy that your solar panels can generate, increase your load at peak hours and also increase your battery charging amperage, then check again.
It’s important to mention that some fake hybrid inverters don’t give accurate energy generation. Also, Bifacial panels are capable of generating higher energies than their rated capacities when properly installed where the back can receive a reflection of sunlight.

It has been powering every items in my house since I bought it 2 years ago but now, anytime I put on AC or Fridge, it goes off. All other items are working fine with it now except Fridge and AC.
Please, I would love to know if the inverter or battery is what is faulty.

Hello house. I have a 6kw deye hybrid inverter the plastic body that's trending. Anyways the PV port seems to be outputting AC current somehow. If you put your tester in the port it illuminates and if you connect the PV breaker to the SPD and then earth the SPD my inverter and appliances will be shocking. How can I solve this . Is the inverter having factory issues?

1. Check the SPD linked to PV from panel to ensure that it’s not AC SPD that’s used in place of DC SPD.
2. Check and also test the AC output wires from the inverter to ensure that live and neutral were not interchanged.
3. Check and also test the AC input wires to the inverter to ensure that live and neutral wires were not interchanged.

My kinda Devices:
The likes of Tecno, Gionee, inFInix, etc; and even Samsung + iPhone are a NO Go Area. I prefer Sony Xperia, Huawei, Motorola, Asus, Honor, LG, and onePlus/umidigi; and the order of preference is just as I listed them.

I prefer portable devices I could hold on my palm comfortably without tiring BUT at the right sweet price, that's just a soft preference.

Of course battery life should be excelent, or atleast good enough since it would be plugged-in 99.5% of the time. On transit, I rarely have a need to move with them.
