Ordinary Abacha got the country running at $11 a barrel and that was a miracle. Your man is the most unintelligent president in the history of Nigeria. You are un-exposed that is why second hand diesel trains, inadequate PPP infrastructure projects financed with Chinese money that my children will have to pay and half completed air ports are confusing you. Think of $60billion times 6 years; that is the money that Nigeria has made in six years from oil, gas, agric exports and taxes which is $360billion or N60 trillion. Please use your intellect to ask your self if you dont deserve at least ten times what you have gotten from the federal gov't. Please leave out state governments achievements even though we know Jonathan has been claiming credit for what a lot of state gov't have done. Lagos, Rivers, Kano, Osun, Edo and AkwaIbom are some of them
The BOKO HARAM war is bleeding Nigeria of N5billion a day because this Nincompoop of a president is too scared shirtless to call Generals to order and get value from them. Nigeria is now the most disgraced country in the world in terms of defence, the Chibok girls are missing, corruption is high, $10billion is missing and I have to go vote again for CLUELESS??. GOD FORBID !!!!!!! GMB 2015 - 2019.

Cybertooth:
22 REASONS WHY BUHARI CAN NEVER
RULE NIGERIA
Originally By: Kekere ekun and Co.
In my books, Buhari is a pretentious anti-
corruption fighter. The trajectory of a
man's journey in public life matters. For
the follwoing reasons I can not vote for
Buhari
1. He is an oligarch who does not believe in
equality before the law. The way he jailed
Lateef Jakande, Jim Nwobodo, Ambrose
Ali, Pa Adekunle Ajasin, Chief Ayo
Ojewumi on cases that had no foundation
and allowed Awwal Ibrahim, the then Niger
State governor, who was arrested in
Heathrow Airport in London with 14 million
pounds sterling and several millions of
Niara and dollars to be under house arrest
is my evidence. He also allowed Shehu
Kangiwa, Sokoto State Governor who
conducted and supervised the famous
Bakolori Massacre of poor peasant
farmers whose land were appropriated
without compesation to remain under
house arrest.
1(a) Ayo Ojewumi became blind as a result
of his imprisonment over false charges and
died shortly after.
1 (b) Prof. Ambrose Alli also became blind
as a result of this false imprisonment.
When he died, he had only one
undeveloped plot of land to his name.
1© Pa Adekule Ajasin was never the same
after his eventual release and remained
sickly for the rest of his life. Whe he
died, he never had any property anywhere
in the world except the one he had built
from his sweat as long term teacher and
school principal in Owo township.
2. He put in place a retroactive law that
killed three men, innocent men in my book,
by public execution. He left untouched an
alleged well known drug baron in Ibrahim
Babangida who later overthrew his
government.
3. He jailed Ndukar Irabor and Tunde
Thompson of the Guardian on stories that
were factually true under Decree 4. He
had told the Nigerian journalists then that
it did not matter whether the story
reported was true or not, if his regime did
not like it, the writer would go to jail.
4. He supervised the smuggling of 53
suitcases filled with cash througth the
MMA against the protests of General
Tunde Idiagbon and ironically, Abubakar
Atiku, the then Director General of the
Customs who later became the Vice
President and a compromised politician
himself. This smuggling of the suit cases
were supervised by his ADC, Col. Mustapha
Jokolo.
5. He jailed Fela Anikulapo -Kuti on
trumped up charges under emergency law
which prompted the sentencing judge to
confess that he was ordered to do so and
apologised to the late musician. It was
Buhari's administration that said it has
"decided to deal with this Fela problem
once and for all."
6. He convinced all the northern political
leaders against allowing the National
Identity Card program because according
to him, this would unravel the myth of
Northern population majority
7. He is an Islamic fundamentalist, the Bin
Laden of Nigeria, who told his northern
followers never to vote for anyone who
was not a muslim.
8. He is a coup plotter.
9. He has never been able to account to
Nigerians what he did with the 20 billion
Naira of the Petroleum Trust Fund of
which he was the chairman under Sani
Abacha.
9(a) He has not been able to point to any
project that he prosecuted outside the
Northern Nigeria with the so-caled trust
fund.
10. He was in full support of all the
atrocities of Sani Abacha against the
Nigerian people. There is no single record
of his criticism of Sani Abacha during
those dark days when Nigeria was on
precipice. It shows that he is a patriot of
convenience and as such unfit to lead the
country.
11. Buhari, as part of his tribalistic
practices placed President Shagari under
house arrest inside a palatia mansion in
Ikoyi while he locked up Shagari's Vice,
Alex Ekwueme in Kirikiri Prison. Shagari is
Hausa/Fulani like him while Alex Ekwueme
is an Igboman.
12. Ikemba Emeka Ojukwu, another
Igboman who returned from 13years exile
just a little over a year then was as well
locked up in Kiri Kiri Prison by
meanhearted Buhari.Up till today we are
not told what was Emeka's offence.
13. Busari Adelakun died of ulcer because
Buhari refused him to be taken out of
prison for immediate medical
attention.The then Governor of Ogun
State,Bisi Onabanjo suffered similar fate
which we were told led to his untimely
death.
14. Buhari ransacked the house of our late
sage, Obafemi Awolowo and confisticated
his International passport. Which civilized
democratic society would elect the likes of
Buhari as President,the same individual
who overthrew an elected President?
Never!
15. Plus Buhari having Sam Mbakwe in jail,
went for one of Mbakwe's wives. He
established himself again for what he
was/is letting Mbakwe receive in jailhouse
news of the death of another of
Mbakwe's two wives. One (I can't
remember his name now; Odenigbo?) also
died in jail.
16. Buhari's henchman and sponsor, CPC
governorship candidate for Kano State, is
Mohammed Abacha, the same person that
had/ran a personal killing squad, co
ordinated the killing of Kudirat Abiola &
attempted to kill Ibru; and also stashed
money in underground tanks, all less than
13 years ago, Nigerians have very short
selective memory. Shame!
17. Buhari discriminated against persons
from other ethnic groups/faiths; and that
as PTF Chairman, he employed an
overwhelming number of Fulani/Hausa/
Moslem people at the detriment of other
groups and concentrated PTF projects in
the North. If in doubt read El Rufai's
testimony where he wrote about Katsina
boys who used the money they made at
PTF to bankroll Yar'Adua's election in
1999.
18. Buhari is unforgiven. When he "took
over" by coup in 1983, even remembered
an article written a very very long time ago
by Bisi Onabanjo ('The Mallams are
coming') and a later one in which Onabanjo
wrote that people should watch out for
that "gangly officer from the north"
after Buhari gave a no holds barred
speech at some Army function where he
was reported to be very openly pro Fulani
and pro Islam to the exclusive of all else
and also talked about termination of
democratic rule. For that, Onabanjo got
one of the harshest jail terms and
treatments.
19. Buhari intolerance is worse than
Obasanjo's. When he was adopted as the
ANPP's candidate on the night of the
party's Primaries without prior warning to
the other candidates and a few of them
protested, Buhari got up and made a
speech that those people must be
disciplined. I subsequently saw him on
BBC's "hard talk" and he frightened me
and the interviewer with his archaic and
fundamentalist intolerant views. His
understanding and articulation is very
much in doubt.
20. The evil genius, IBB and his crew
similarly ran rings around Buhari. On the
10th anniversary of Abacha's demise,
Buhari said that Abacha stole nothing
from Nigeria! Despite millions of Dollars
recovered from banks around the world
and the Abacha family signing a formal
agreement to return over $1 billion dollars,
Buhari still said that Abacha's stealing
remains an unproved allegation!!!! Why?
Because Abacha set Buhari up like an
emperor and let him use oil money from
the Niger Delta to develop the North
without supervision or questions.
21. Buhari snubbed the same Nigerians he
now wants their votes by refusing to
appear before Justice Oputa Truth and
Reconciliation Panel. Despite the fact that
Buhari knew how inportant reconciliation is
to the stability of democracy. Buhari has
never apologised at anytime.
22. Buhari executed Lawal Ojuolape (30),
Bernard Ogedengbe (29) and Bartholomew
Owoh (26). To put it quite plainly, one of
those three – Ogedengbe - was executed
for a crime that did not carry a capital
forfeit at the time it was committed. and
At the time Ogedengbe committed the
crime it did not carry that punishment. If
we must live as civilised citizens we must
go by the rules. Article 11.2 of the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights
reads: "No one shall be held guilty of any
penal offence on account of any act or
omission WHICH DID NOT CONSTITUTE
A PENAL OFFENCE, under national or
international law at the time when it was
committed. NOR SHALL A HEAVIER
PUNISHMENT BE IMPOSED THAN THE
ONE THAT WAS APPLICABLE AT THE
TIME THE PENAL OFFENCE WAS
COMMITTED. Killing people with
retroactive laws is not the civilised thing
to do - and for as long as we will have
people who refuse to see the truth only
because their heroes are inching to rule
when they have not purged themselves we
will continue to wallow in misery.
If Nigerians reward dangerous, insensitive,
dishonest, mean, cruel, partial, egoistic,
religious, fundamendalist, conscienceless
human being like MOHAMMADU BUHARI
with
the presidency of Nigeria with his
kind of track record, then why do we still
wonder why Nigeria has not and will not
make it?
I can not in good conscience support
Buhari's candidacy on the above grounds.
I wish we have intelligent people who know
what democracy means. I wish we have
civilized minds. However, I am 100 percent
sure that Buhari will never again rule
Nigeria.
For the good of Nigeria, vote any other
candidate, but SAY NO TO BUHARI!!!

The unfortunate truth is that the next few weeks until elections will see more of this attacks. This is the time for them to make a strong statement why GEJ is clueless and why power must return to the north in the person of GMB.

An attack on Bokoharam is an attack on the North was a statement by Buhari. Bokoharam requested that Buhari will be their negotiator when negotiations was an option on the table. This is their game plan to stir sentiments at times like this but do not be decieved..... The blood sucking demon called Buhari will never rule this country.

After Buhari loses out come Feb 2015, Bokoharam would have outlived its purpose. Keep hope alive Nigerians.... their end is near.

Prof Yemi Osibanjo is a man I respect so much. he is an academic and intellectual juggernaut as well as legal Icon. I have attended a couple of events where he has given speeches and I always marvel at the depth of his knowledge and ease of presentation.

However I have to say I am not sure how prof Osibanjo will add anuthjng to the buhari ticket politically. I love the man but I think he is a nobody politically. APC just gave GEJ all the votes in the south south and south east because they will surely not want power to shift completely away from their side even if they don't like Jonathan.
Well goodluck to prof and buhari. He will make a cracking VP.
you think d block vote in ss and se can't match what's available in northwest alone.....I think d choice of Osinbajo is to balance d religion and party imbalances in the apc

DVanguard:
The breakdown of 2011 Presidential election.
PRESIDENT GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN
The 2011 Presidential Election, President Jonathan was favourite based on different factors that projected him as a diligent, humble and a new breed politician that have passed through the stages that every common man in the street passed through. The humiliation by the Yar'adua's cabal against his person also help him to the exalted office. The united PDP front, the support of the founding fathers of PDP, the religious and ethnic card and the mood of the country to shift from the power drunk Yar'adua cabal that holds the country in ransome. PDP has 26 states governors plus F.C.T minister with direct sympathy from 5 other governors ( Lagos, Ekiti, Ondo, Edo, Oyo).
With all this sentiments, GEJ pulled the stated votes from this states and region:

SOUTH EAST:
GEJ got a total of 4,985,246 votes against 7,577,212 of the total voters register. 65.87% voters turnout, PDP scored a record of 98% of the voters turnout. Imo got the highest voters turnout of 83.56% with Ebonyi with the least turnout of 47.87% voters turnout.

SOUTH SOUTH
GEJ got a total of 6,118,608 votes against 9,474,427 of the total voters register . 67.95% voters turnout, PDP scored a record of 95.95% of the voters turnout. Bayelsa got the highest turnout of 85.61% with Edo state with the least turnout of 37.52% voters turnout.

SOUTH WEST
GEJ got a total of 2,786,417 votes against 14,296,163 of the total voters register. 32.90% voters turnout, PDP scored a record of 57.79% of the voters turnout. Osun State got the highest turnout of 39.62% with Ogun state with the least turnout of 28.01% voters turnout.

NORTH EAST
GEJ got a total of 1,832,622 votes against 10,749,059 of the total voter register . 53.70% voters turnout, PDP scored a record of 34.54% of the voters turnout. Bauchi State got the highest turnout of 63.8% with Yobe state with the least turnout of 45.28% voters turnout.

NORTH CENTRAL
GEJ got a total of 3,376,570 votes against 7,675,369 of the total voters register. 53.70% voters turnout, PDP scored a record of 46.28% of the voters turnout. plateau State got the highest turnout of 62.46% with Kwara state with the least turnout of 35.99% voters turnout.

NORTH WEST
GEJ got a total of 3,395,724 votes against 18,900,543 of the total voters register. 53.75% voters turnout, PDP scored a record of 31.20% of the voters turnout. Kaduna State got the highest turnout of 65.81% with Sokoto state with the least turnout of 40.12% voters turnout.

GENERAL BUHARI

The people's general was known but lack financial ability to tour the length and breath of the country to seek peoples vote. It gave the opponent opportunity to set propaganda rolling against him. He was only able to tour 9 states in the federation. Oyo State, Imo state, Rivers, Abuja, Lagos and 4 other northern states. His political party then was built around his personality and the party lack political structure spread around the country in 2011. Most of the candidates of his party rode on his personality. This is how he fair in the 2011 Presidential election. He has no governor supporting his course then. He won 12 states in the North with little financial chest and political structure. The only states he campaigned where the only place he tens of thousand vote.

SOUTH EAST:
BUHARI got a total of 20,335 votes against 7,577,212 of the total voters register . 65.87% voters turnout, CPC scored a record of 0.37% of the voters turnout. Imo got the highest voters turnout of 83.56% with Ebonyi with the least turnout of 47.87% voters turnout.

SOUTH SOUTH
BUHARI got a total of 49,978 votes against 9,474,427 of the total voters register. 67.95% voters turnout, CPC scored a record of 1.06% of the voters turnout. Bayelsa got the highest turnout of 85.61% with Edo state with the least turnout of 37.52% voters turnout.

SOUTH WEST
BUHARI got a total of 321,609 votes against 14,296,163 of the total voters register. 32% voters turnout, CPC scored a record of 4.75% of the voters turnout. Osun State got the highest turnout of 39.62% with Ogun state with the least turnout of 28.01% voters turnout.

NORTH EAST
BUHARI got a total of 3,624,919 votes against 10,749,059 of the total voters register. 53.70% voters turnout, CPC scored a record of 54.73% of the voters turnout. Bauchi State got the highest turnout of 63.8% with Yobe state with the least turnout of 45.28% voters turnout.

NORTH CENTRAL
BUHARI got a total of 1,744,575 votes against 7,675,369 of the total vote . 53.70% voters turnout, CPC scored a record of 30.94% of the voters turnout. plateau State got the highest turnout of 62.46% with Kwara state with the least turnout of 35.99% voters turnout.

NORTH WEST
BUHARI got a total of 6,453,437 votes against 18,900,543 of the total vote. 53.75% voters turnout, CPC scored a record of 60.26% of the voters turnout. Kaduna State got the highest turnout of 65.81% with Sokoto state with the least turnout of 40.12% voters turnout.

Let us now compare the analysis with the current political situation in the country.
1.PDP controls 20 state governors presently with 2 other states sympathisers (LP-Ebonyi and APGA- Anambra) against the 26 state governors and 5 sympathisers in 2011.
APC controls 14 states presently against CPC no state control in 2011.
2. Buhari has a better organised political party and structure which also will get him lots of finance against 2011 when he does not have enough fund to even move around or tour the whole states of the federation. not to talk of organising polling agents round the 120 polling units in the country.
3. Out of the 20 states PDP controls, the northern states except Benue, Taraba, Adamawa and Plateau are possibly going to be won by Buhari. There are 10 states from the North, 2 from NW, 4 from NE, 4 from NC. The voter turnout this time around would be high than 2011. They still have about 45% voters that did not vote in 2011. The southern state except the SW has room for high voters turnout because from record SW in 2011 presidential election the voter turnout is 32%, SE is 65.87% and SS is 67.95%.
4. PDP still have the ace when it comes to rigging machine. They control funds, military, police, Inec and the media. It is still a tough call.
5. Based on statistic APC has a high chance of winning on papers but they need lot of time, effort and guts to be able to win the election.
6. GEJ has lost some of his sympathisers from other regions except the SE and SS based on the petrol subsidy saga, the insecurity and the body language on corruption matters.
7. Buhari tends to wax stronger against 2011 because he got more media attention now than before. He has gotten more people to propagate him in good books against the bad messages against him in 2011.
8. Time will determine the winner. But for now Buhari has the ace.
I love ur analysis

The most important albeit silent part of the news is that nobody is considering the South East for anything. That is how my people the Igbos consigned themselves to the dustin of politics in Nigeria.
Igbo are parasite and follow any rolling party...so they need not to be considered cos dey already pledge their allegiance to pdp

Thanks for all your comments,Funny how people think that I'm looking for cheap publicity because of what I said about the General...well in case you missed my line of thoughts all I said was we need a practical and workable manifesto instead of sentimental talks from our leaders is that too much to ask?,I am a Nigerian and I have the right to demand that,I'm not interested in how much you have or don't have but in how much and how well change and transformation can be felt in our economy...for those of you in nairaland blog that just take things out of context shame on you I am not gullible like you..the focus here is not slamming on the respected General but to ask all our leaders to strategize on convincing us because we are wiser now than before so enough of all these...all Nigerians want to see instead is practical measures to effect sustainable development in our life's and economy...i hope you all got that....God bless Nigeria.
u are a big FOOOOOOL...is this d tone u used in ur previous tweet.....pple DAT are Gud in bringing other pple down will not grow themselves.....litu wonder u are still where u are in your chosen career... ewu!

Abbey is judging by his values only. It's no crime to have different goals and priorities. And in the end, nobody remembers you by the amount of wealth you amassed, but by the service and justice that you render to people.

Those who wrote on what it takes to be wealthy like Napoleon Hill (at the behest of Dale Carnegie - the richest man in the world then), listed "The 12 Great Riches Of Life." And money was listed last, and can be easily gotten if you have a combination of the ones before it.

And when Solomon was asked by God what one thing he'd wished be granted it wasn't money or material that he craved. .
He prayed, “Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may judge and lead this people properly. This great people of yours?”
This answer pleased God immensely. And because of his propensity to ask for the source of all things, God granted this and many others: “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king—” God said He would give Solomon what he had asked, plus what he had not. Not only that, but he would make Solomon greater than his contemporaries or all who had been before him or would follow after him of all of these things— wisdom, riches, wealth and honor."
