Having stayed away from voting due to what we all know as scripted elections, I have decided to participate in this election by casting my vote for change come February 14 but I do emplore you all to drop partisan politics or religious divide and vote for personality and who will most likely bring the change and development we all crave for. We also have to drop this notion of hope for a divien intervention to save Nigeria when we can't ourselves do the little we can of saving our country by protecting our votes.

Director South African Airways Is A Boss With No Academic Qualifications.

In this part of the world, academic qualification is almost a do or die affair. and every individual do everything possible to succeed in that perspective.

The reason why many people flock to the universities to study any available course, not because they want to be there, but because without it they are practically doomed.

But in neighboring South Africa, Nico Bezuidenhout has risen to the top of a multinational company, the South African Airways (SAA), without a single academic qualification.

And he claims he has never lied about it as he rose through the ranks.
"My staff, the shareholder [SAA], my board, everybody that I'm involved with, has always known that I do not have a degree and have always given me support," SABC radio quoted Bezuidenhout as saying.
"I do not believe the fact I did not have a academic qualification when appointed at Mango in 2006 has had any effect."
Amidst allegations that Bezuidenhout lied about his qualification is in the past, the SAA board has come out to defend their CEO whom they said they employed based on "proven experience, capability and track record."
"In the opinion of the board, the tertiary studies that Mr Bezuidenhout has completed, although incomplete, provides sufficient grounding while his performance track record certainly exceed that of a number of previous, and highly qualified, airline CEOs," the board state in a statement published by Times Live.
Though Bezuidenhout is still being accused of falsifying information about his qualification, his success once again brings to fore the debate about the overt emphasis on paper qualification.

If people were employed for skills, rather than certificates, things may look different.

The Global Fire Power ranking (GFP) measures countries’ military strength and gives a power index number in order to compare them to other countries. Below are the countries with the most powerful militaries in Africa.

1. Egypt
Egyptian military is the strongest among other countries in Africa due to the sheer size of its armed forces. Egyptian soldiers are well equipped and well trained, but are inferior to Israeli soldiers in terms of weaponry and training. More than 1.5 million individuals reach the army age every year. It has more than 800 military aircraft and 200 helicopters.

2. Algeria
Algerian military is made up of a modern army, navy and air force. Frontline personnel number more than 120,000 active personnel, which is well equipped and it has nearly 2,000 armoured fighting vehicles at its disposal. Algeria also has the added benefit of its own oil reserves, allowing it to use its own fuel to power tanks, aircraft carriers, naval vessels, and more. Algeria continues to be among the African countries with the best military power.


3. Ethiopia
Ethiopia has the third strongest military on the African continent as a result of both their large population and their long independence from colonization. As a landlocked country, it has focused its resources on building its army and air force to an impressive degree. With a population of 38 million people, 24 million of the citizens are considered to be fit for active service. Ethiopia reportedly had around 182,500 personnel in their ground forces and a further 3,000 air force personnel.

4. South Africa
The country has got what it takes to be among the top countries in Africa, strong enough to be recognized. South Africa uses its very advanced army for pacification and international cooperation. Its aircraft and naval vessels are especially well equipped with the latest technology, and though the country has less than 88,000 active front-line personnel and 17,000 active reserve personnel, it has the capabilities and manpower for much more.

5. Nigeria
Nigeria has the second largest army by number of troops on the continent, but due to political instability and lack of equipment, it has been ranked just the fifth strongest country in Africa. The country has more than 1,400 armoured vehicles, 360 tanks, and 6,000 logistical vehicles at its disposal, as well as nearly 300 aircraft and 25 high-powered naval vessels. The army has been criticised for their heavy-handed manner in dealing with civilians during anti-Boko Haram operations in the North-east.

The previous year, Nigeria occupied the 4th place.

I still let it go because I felt It's still not my business. LOL

But going to Mrs. Stalla's Instagram page and what I saw and peoples comments I still said "none of my business" not until I saw her response to her fans and I knew its time for Chi-Chi to speak. Before I continue read her response below;

We know as Christians that we should not celebrate Halloween, but do we know why? When I was a child, Halloween was one of my favorite times of the year. I loved dressing up, going out trick-or-treating, and enjoying the other festivities. Thank God for His Grace! I truly believe that once you come unto the knowledge or revelation of something, you are then responsible. I didn't know then, what I know now. In doing research, getting information from people and gathering information from various sources, my mother and I came across some startling and very eye opening facts about the origins of activities, from what we use to consider a fun and harmless time of the year.

Did you know..............

Trick or treating and wearing costumes were first done by the Druids to keep themselves safe from evil spirits?

Bobbing for Apples was done to obtain favor with the evil spirits. People would kneel around a tub of water filled with apples. The first person to get an apple without using their hands, would have good luck and favor from the spirits for the coming year.

Bonfires originally came from these nights of human and animal sacrifices where they would throw the remains of the bodies into the fire. The next morning all that was left were ashes and bones- thus the name bonefires - bonfires.

If this information is not enough, here are 10 more reasons that Kerby Anderson, an author, broadcaster and CEO of a Christian Think Tank Ministry, gives us.

10 Reasons Christians Should Not Celebrate Halloween

1. October 31st. Has long been known as "The Festival of the Dead." The Celtic tribes and their priests the Druids celebrated this day as a marker for the change from life to death.

2. Halloween today is performed usually by adherents of witchcraft who use the night for their rituals. Witches celebrate Halloween as the "Feast of Samhain" the first feast of the witchcraft year. Being a festival of the dead, Halloween is a time when witches attempt to communicate with the dead through various forms of divination.

3. Christians should not be involved with occultic practice or divination. Note God's command against divination in Deuteronomy 18.

4. Occultist believe Halloween is a time of transition between life and death. Some occult practitioners...believe in lying on the grave and listening to the message from the long departed.

5. Occultist also taught that spirits and ghosts left the grave during this night and would seek out warmth in their previous homes. Villagers, fearful of the possibility of being visited by the ghosts, would dress up in costumes to scare the spirits on their way. 7. In some witchcraft covens, the closing ritual includes eating an apple or engaging in fertility rites.

8. Schools are removing any religious significance from Christmas (Winter Break) and Easter (Spring Break). Isn't it ironic that most public schools still celebrate Halloween even though it has occultic origins?

9. Participating in Halloween gives sanction to a holiday the promotes witches, divination, haunted houses and other occultic practices.

Soraja told Kurir newspaper that she met Neymar in Ibiza in July and they exchanged contact and frequently chatted via Skype. An unidentified suspected burglar was on Sunday inflicted with deep machete cuts after he was caught attempting to steal wine and alcoholic beverages from a shop along the Atu Street intersection of Goldie Street in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

The burglar was said to have broken into the shop in the early hours of the day with three other accomplices who managed to escape from the scene of the incident.

An eyewitness, B.F. Johnbosco, said the thieves had broken into the wine shop around 5am, but someone sighted them and raised the alarm.

Johnbosco said in an attempt to nab the four suspects, three escaped while the fourth who was still busy gathering drinks inside the shop, was apprehended and dealt with summarily.

He said, “Someone noticed when the burglars broke the iron bars on the door of the shop and he informed the owner on the phone that his shop was being burgled. The man mobilised some of his friends and neighbours and they came out with machetes and sticks.

“When they approached the shop, three others managed to escape leaving one of them who was right inside loading wine bottles into a carton. They descended on him and inflicted severe machete cuts on him and dragged him to the other side of the road which borders Holy Child School and dumped him there.” The man was stripped of his shirt, but still wore a black pair of jeans.

The suspect, who was lying on his back had severe machete wounds all over his body but was still breathing and his eyes were open.

He was later conveyed by the police to the General Hospital, Calabar, at about 8.45 am.

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Hogan Bassey, confirmed the incident, saying some items were retrieved from the burglar.

While appreciating the gesture by members of the public in tackling crime, Bassey warned that suspects should be handed over to the police instead of attempting to kill them.

He said, “The facts are correct. Wine and other stolen items were recovered from the suspect who is responding to treatment at the hospital. We have not verified his name.

“We appreciate members of the public for their cooperation but we do not encourage them to beat suspects to a coma as it will impede the process of investigation.”

A failed footballer who posed as a Chelsea star to live a Premier League lifestyle has been jailed.

Manchester Crown Court heard Medi Abalimba went on a £20,000 shopping spree at Selfridges, stayed at top hotels and even hired a helicopter.
The player, who joined Derby County in 2009 for more than £1m but whose career failed to progress, masqueraded as France youth international Gael Kakuta.
Medi Abalimba, 25, admitted multiple frauds and was sentenced to four years.
Abalimba, of Burton Street, London, phoned venues claiming to be the agent of Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta before turning up posing as the player.
The court was told he would ring a venue advising of the imminent arrival of an elite sport star, requesting discretion and paying for goods with stolen credit card details.
Abalimba obtained the details by photographing American Express cards he found in lockers he broke into using a master key at a gym in Camden, north London.
In June 2014, he visited a Manchester nightclub and ordered £2,600 worth of champagne while claiming he left his wallet in a limousine.
Football skills
He pre-paid more than £2,000 using stolen credit card details telling staff he would return next day, which he did, ordering more champagne and leaving in a chauffeur-driven Bentley GT.
In July, he ordered more than £20,000 worth of clothes in Selfridges in the Trafford Centre, even displaying his football skills while shopping - but store detectives were suspicious.
His crime spree saw him stay at expensive hotels, dine at fine restaurants and, on one occasion, he even took four women from Manchester to London in a helicopter.
Greater Manchester Police tracked him down to an £800-a-night rented mansion in Berkshire.
Sgt Adam Cronshaw of GMP, said Abalimba was "charming and charismatic" and could call on his previous football experience and "some resemblance to the real Gael Kakuta to deceive his victims".
He added: "Abalimba told us that many of his victims treated him so differently because they thought he was a celebrity footballer."
'Difficulties snowballed'
The player had stints with Derby, Oldham Athletic, Southend United, Fulham and Crystal Palace and, as a youngster, had trials with Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool.
He admitted 12 offences of fraud and dishonesty, in London, West Yorkshire, Manchester and Derby and asked for 19 offences to be considered.
Speaking in mitigation, his barrister Vic Wozny said Abalimba had had a "rough upbringing" and that he "ran with the wrong crowd" after coming to London at the age of five.
He said his footballing success had come with a lot of "hangers on", who Abalimba would spend his wages on.
When Abalimba "started to slide and money dried up, my client could not accept that he did not continue to lead the high life", he said.
"The offences started to happen. Thereafter my client's difficulties snowballed."
Gael Kakuta, 23, joined Spanish team Rayo Vallecano on loan for the 2014-15 season.

Ever since the recent severe outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease in West Africa, there has been an ongoing debate as to whether the EVD is a naturally occurring viral infection, or if it was clinically manufactured to be used as a biological weapon on mankind.

One very vocal speaker on this issue in Nigeria has been the country’s former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode. He maintains that the West are culturing the Ebola Virus to be used as a bio-weapon. Others like American RnB singer, Chris Brown say the West is using it for population control in Africa. And others still say the deadly virus was launched into Africa to introduce and boost the sales of Ebola vaccines and cures.

I remember one Liberian reporter contacting some months ago to ask if I’d love to be a part of an investigative team to research if Ebola was being used by the West to sabotage Africa.

The alarm is rising on the spread of the Ebola virus. Statistics, though not clear say at least 3,500 people have died from what they think is Ebola in 2014.

The majority of cases have taken place in West Africa, mainly in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone. However the first fatality has now taken place in the United States of a Liberian national recently arriving in the US.

Many questions are being asked from if this disease is man made to whether it is being used as an excuse by the United States to control more African resources? This after US president Barack Obama declared war on Ebola, but instead of ordering health professionals to Africa, he has ordered the deployment of thousands of military troops.

Dear Africans, it’s high time we start taking these allegations seriously and give it the critical look it deserves.
