Missed the game. So, I can not make much contribution.
What you missed it?
It was a disappointing performance. Still unable to convert our chances to goal. We have the opportunity to go ahead with 2-3 goals but Kun and kevin blew it up. Even kevin smashed a 2yards from empty net on the goal post bar.
And Anthony taylor also rub salt on our wound, luiz Fouled Aguero when he is the last man, but not
even a yellow.. Tripped Gundogan from the back in
the D-box, but not a penalty.. Navas tripped
inside the D-box later, not a penalty again..
Chabaloah, pushed Aguero first, but only Aguero
has been sent off.. Fabregas slapped Fernandinho first, but only Fernandinho got sent off.. So many
hand balls went unnoticed.. How can all the
decisions go only against us in a single match!!!!
Despite all this, we would have clearly won the
game, had we converted the chances...

Politics / I Threw Away The Green Card, I Have Relocated, Says Wole Soyinka by justicejay(m): 4:00pm On Dec 01, 2016
Nigerian Nobel prize-winning author Wole
Soyinka said Thursday he has fulfilled his pledge
to throw away his US residency green card and
leave the country if Donald Trump won the
presidential election.
Shortly before the vote, Soyinka had vowed to
give up his permanent US residency over a
Trump victory to protest against the Republican
billionaire’s campaign promises to get tough on
immigration.
“I have already done it, I have disengaged (from
the United States). I have done what I said I
would do,” the 82-year-old told AFP on the
sidelines of an education conference at the
University of Johannesburg.
“I had a horror of what is to come with Trump…
I threw away the (green) card, and I have
relocated, and I’m back to where I have always
been” — meaning his homeland Nigeria.
The prolific playwright, novelist and poet won
the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1986 and has
been a regular teacher at US universities
including Harvard, Cornell and Yale.
At the same time he said he would not
discourage others from applying for a green
card.
“It’s useful in many ways. I wouldn’t for one
single moment discourage any Nigerians or
anybody from acquiring a green card… but I
have had enough of it,” he said.
Soyinka, one of Africa’s most famous writers and
rights activists, was jailed in 1967 for 22 months
during Nigeria’s civil war.
He was reported to have recently completed a
term as scholar-in-residence at New York
University’s Institute of African American Affairs.

Education / Law School: 24 Students Bag First Class, Highest Since Inception by justicejay(m): 7:29am On Nov 30, 2016
justicejay:
24 students graduated with First Class at the
August/September 2016 Bar final examinations of the Nigerian Law School, the highest since the
school was established, Thisday reports.
The Director-General of the Nigerian Law School,
Mr. Olanrewaju Onadeko (SAN) while giving a
breakdown of the figures, disclosed that “of their
numbers, 24 candidates attained the First Class
grade, while 567 candidates obtained the Second Class Upper Division,” adding that the number of first class candidates that were presented was the largest since the inception of the Nigerian Law School.
In his address to the new lawyers, The acting
Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Samuel Nkanu
Walter Onnoghen, advised them to perform their roles as legal practitioners with integrity and competence.
He said, “As ministers in the temple of justice, it is never enough to solely protect the interest of
your client. You must strive to attain justice above all and not derail its course even if it may not favour your client and avoid ‘sharp practices.’
“The role of lawyers are multi-faceted; it cuts
across virtually every strata of the society. In all
this, you are expected to maintain the highest
profession standard of integrity and competence at all times. This should be your watch word.” A total of 4,225 candidates were called to the Nigerian Bar on Tuesday.

Phones / Telecoms Workers Fault CBN Gov For Urging Call Tax by justicejay(m): 7:20am On Nov 30, 2016
justicejay:
The Nigeria Union of Postal and
Telecommunication Employees on Tuesday
faulted the Central Bank Governor, Mr. Godwin
Emefiele, for advising GSM service providers to
tax calls above three minutes.
NUPTE President, Sunday Alhansan, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja that the tax would worsen the economic problems being
experienced by Nigerians.
Emefiele had suggested that Federal Government
should impose taxes on phone conversations that
last more than three minutes, as a way of
generating revenues.
The CBN governor said that the tax would cushion
the effects of the economic recession and could
raise additional revenue for the country.
Alhassan said the suggestion is
“counterproductive.”
“The people you want to tax are also affected by
the recession; and if you say that they are to be
taxed, definitely you are asking people to stop
making calls.
“And when they stop making calls, the GSM
operators are going to be affected and once they
are affected, there will be drop of some of their
lines.
“What is going to happen is that they are going to
sack their workers.
“So, that is why such a suggestion should not be
brought up in the first place because it will cause
more harm than good to the people,’’ he said.
Alhassan called on the Federal Government not to
listen to any neo-liberal advice that would expose
Nigerians to further hardships.
He called on the government to fashion out
innovative ideas of creating sustainable
employment that would bring succor to the
people and not by taxing citizens the more.
“What we are telling the government is that it
should look for succor for the people, the
common man is not finding it funny.
“Our advice is to stop this idea of imposing tax on
calls above three minutes, as it is not going to do
anybody any good,” Alhassan said.
He advised government to look at ways of utilising
looted funds that was returned to its coffers for
economic development.

Politics / Here Are All The Ways Buhari’s Government Is Making Our Lives Harder by justicejay(m): 6:51am On Nov 30, 2016
Times are hard. Really hard. The economy is in
recession, and inflation is creeping higher and
higher. And yet, it seems the Buhari
administration keeps suggesting new ways to tax
citizens.
Inflation is already a tax to begin with, so it is no
surprise that all these measures – some
suggested, others implemented – are getting so
many people upset. Let’s go through some of the
more consequential ones.

1.Electricity tariff hike: First, electricity tariffs were
increased. The increased should have happened
under the Jonathan administration, to be fair, but
was postponed for political reasons (elections
around the corner, and so on), so it was this
administration that had to do it. People rightly
wondered why they were paying more for
darkness, and there has been satisfactory answer
given yet.

2. Forex problems: Then came the falling value of
the naira. This is one of the most ridiculous
policies of this government so far. All the
measures they have taken to alleviate the forex
scarcity have only made it worse, because they
are obsessed with fixing the exchange rate. Of
course, it has failed, and as such everything that
we rely on that is imported is affected by this,
chief of which is…

3.Increase in pump price of petrol: Petrol. Back in
June, months of scarcity were ended when the
pump price of petrol rose from N86 to N145,
largely because of our exchange rate. It was not
even six months ago that this happened, and
there is already talk of a further increase. Again, if
the forex scarcity was handled better, the price
would not have risen so sharply, and may have
even gone down a bit by now.

4. Tax on calls: Not satisfied with his disastrous
monetary policy, the CBN governor Godwin
Emefiele even suggested a tax on phone calls over
3 minutes recently, saying that as much as N100
billion in revenue could be realised. We get it. The
government is looking for money. But this same
government has refused to make the hard
decisions to reduce its own ridiculous
expenditure.

5.Are toll gates back? A major aspect of this
ridiculous expenditure is the National Assembly.
They take anywhere from N120 billion to N150
billion a year from the budget, with no
accountability. Even so, they are not above
putting an additional burden on Nigerians. The
Senate recently passed a motion for the
reintroduction of tolls on federal highways,
money that will be used for their maintenance.
Where did all the money allocated for roads in
previous times go to? What sacrifices are
legislators themselves making in this recession?
Exactly. No sacrifices at all.

6. VAT on passports: If Tunde Fowler, Chairman of
the Federal Internal Revenue Service has his way,
you must pay VAT before you collect your
passport, as well as showing your tax clearance
certificate. Apart from the fact that the latter is
almost certainly unconstitutional, Fowler may well
be about to open a black market in tax clearance
certificates. That may even be the point. You see,
the FIRS’ is aggressively trying to widen the tax net
and it has a target to meet, so all measures are on
the table. One question though: what has the
Nigerian passport ever done for Nigerians except
give them stress when they travel abroad?
Business / Big Reasons Why You Should Stay Away From Nnn Nigeria by justicejay(m): 6:59pm On Nov 29, 2016
NNN Scam?
It is obvious that many
Nigerians are getting aware of this current
Pyramid scheme trending in Nigeria
called NNN Nigeria (http://www.) which
promises 35% Return on Investment(ROI)
after 21 days.

Big Reasons Why You Should Stay Away From
NNN Nigeria.
I called the business a Pyramid/Ponzi scheme, Yes
I did, Why would drizzymadbet call it a Pyramid/
Ponzi Scheme ? First let’s examine what a Ponzi/
Pyramid scheme is one should be wary of NNN
Nigeria.
A Ponzi scheme (also a Ponzi game or a Ponzi) is a
fraudulent investment operation where the
operator, an individual or organization, pays
returns to its investors from new capital paid to
the operators by new investors, rather than from
profit earned through legitimate sources.
Operators of Ponzi schemes usually entice new
investors by offering higher returns than other
investments, in the form of short-term returns
that are either abnormally high or unusually
consistent.
Initially the promoter will pay out high returns to
attract more investors, and to lure current
investors into putting in additional money. Other
investors begin to participate, leading to a
cascade effect. The “return” to the initial investors
is paid out of the investments of new entrants,
and not out of profits. Often the high returns
encourage investors to leave their money in the
scheme, with the result that the promoter does
not have to pay out very much to investors; he
simply has to send them statements showing how
much they have earned. This maintains the
deception that the scheme is an investment with
high returns.
Unraveling of a Ponzi scheme
I know the Big Question is, Is NNN Scam?
When a Ponzi scheme is not stopped by the
authorities, it sooner or later falls apart for one of
the following reasons.
1. The promoter vanishes, taking all the remaining
investment money.
2. Since the scheme requires a continual stream
of investments to fund higher returns, once
investment slows down, the scheme collapses as
the promoter starts having problems paying the
promised returns (the higher the returns, the
greater the risk of the Ponzi scheme collapsing).
Such liquidity crises often trigger panics, as more
people start asking for their money, similar to a
bank run.
3. External market forces, such as a sharp decline
in the economy (for example, the Madoff
investment scandal during the market downturn
of 2008), cause many investors to withdraw part
or all of their funds.
Why do I drizzymadbet believe that NNN Nigeria
is a pyramid/Ponzi scheme lets look at the
following reasons.
1. The promise of a 30 % ROI is outrageous and
not in terms with standard rates of investment
(Example one makes a profit of 30,000 naira for
every 100,000 naira invested in the system in 30
days , excluding additions that comes from
referral, signing up and testimonial bonuses) No
legal financial company can offer you that
investment plan.
2. Such “Return on Investments” been paid to
older clients are money received from new clients
and the circle continues, the 30% is never made
from company profits. That is why there is
aggressive ad campaign from the company ( NNN
Nigeria) paying massive additional bonuses to
recruiters that they call guiders to conduct
seminars and deceive gullible Nigerians into
joining the scheme to keep the system alive.
3. The CEO of the company (NNN Nigeria) Seigei
Marvrodi is a convicted fraudster and had run
similar fraud schemes in Russia where he
defrauded investors over a hundred billion
dollars ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/NNN_
(Ponzi_Scheme_Company)
If you still in doubt if NNN is Scam
Stay tuned…
