Religion / Re: Father Mbaka Speaks On Onitsha Fire: Don't Blame Hausas, Obiano Should Resign by Justiceuphold: 12:01pm On Oct 21, 2019
I cannot believe you actually typed this or maybe i will assume an excuse that you probably were not living in Onitsha during Obis tenure.

If not for 1 thing, i know Obi did alot of roads including the restruction of upper iweka and linking roads and even my street.

Then go to these places now..you will weep esp. Upper iweka road...a small pothole left unattended has gotten so massive that the road cannot be used again. And you are comparing Obiano with Obi.

Atleast my mum that is a teacher will anyways be grtaedul to Obi for their salaries and christmas bonuses during his teure and even so other welfare packages , yes Obiano is still trying in that regard.

But trust me, Obiano can never come close to rating with Obi.

And our problem obviously is that we allow sentiments cloud our judgment.
How in the hell would you be bringing in past government in a Situation that the present government could have tackled if they hold the safety of their Citizen at heart.

We need to wisen up in this Country oo and learn to fight the good fight and forget selfishness and personal Benefits.. if not these Politicians will kill us all..
That it didn't happen to someone close to you today doesnot mean it cannot happen next time if its not tackled ooo.
MERCHANDISER:

Peter claims to have constructed over 900km of roads during his tenure.where are those roads?

All roads in Nnewi,Onitsha and Awka are very bad

Travel / Re: LRU Retrieved A Fallen Tanker From Apapa Road - Photos by Justiceuphold: 6:21pm On Aug 07, 2019
Highly unsafe handling in the second to last picture. They should atleast get a hands free to keep their workers safe.
AutoReportNG:
The LRU team yesterday put in practice what they know how to do which is saving lives and making Lagos roads free of fallen tankers, making it motorable and attending to emergencies.

Every driver's headache is tanker on Lagos roads as they can destroy, kill and render one's life useless.

There was a fallen container at Sunrise Underbridge, Apapa which was secured and retrieved by Lagos Response Unit (LRU) of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) in collaboration with Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). According to reports, no casualties were recorded as everything went on as planned.

This atitude will make Nigeria not to move forward. "Nobody holy pass". We still have along way to go with this mentality.‍♀️

Falz may be right but the deed was done before he became a senator and in Nigeria some people are obviously bigger than the law .

Thanks to everyone that has taken out time to give us insight on their exepriences overthere...you guys are the best.

I hope you all dont mind, i need differnt peoples opinion on this.

So i am a working class here in Nigeria, with an good pay, but not happy with my job especially as i feel inadequate in the field and it affects my confidence level.

I have always had the desire to go for a masters, but the work has been so demanding that i dont give enough time to my application and i end up not getting admission. I have worked for 4+ years.

This year i got an admission to study Analytical, instrument, measurement and sensor technology. I have a greater Urge to go for this program as i really love the course content and the course itself and its really in line with my bachelors, though different from my present job. And i see it as a course i can fit into and R&grin section of most industries.

So here is my question , please for our bros and sis over there, what is your take on this course, do you think i have a good prospect there and also able to get job satisfaction over there.

I am also keen on having a descent place to raise my kids..please is Germany family friendly.

Please this is very important to me..i dont want to move from frying pan to fire.

I will appreciate this.

@hadampson please can you assit with this please

I said I replied. And you even sent your PM twice even though I replied the first one. Now, there;s nothing in my inbox to check. Maybe you don't know how the PM system works.

Those guys are dealing with a lot of issues. Your e-mail would eventually be replied. Once the launch party is over, and you still haven't gotten an answer, make noise in the Slack channel.

So Sorry Simiolu1, I am actually having a bit of challenge getting across to you. I can't find your feedback In my inbox.

1. No one looks at documents.
2. You were really lucky to meet a VO, who asked you for your ties...that's a probably a hint, that you have weak ties...work on that.
3. No matter how many times you apply, if your circumstances haven't changed or your ties haven't become stronger, you will likely get the same result.
4. Maybe you should have waited to apply when your company wants to send you for training, you have already appeared before the US embassy for the purpose of vacation, and now you are coming back for the purpose of training by your company - you will probably look desperate, and you don't need that note on your profile.

Thanks, I think it's the ties thing too and I have a family that bears same surname as mine, I was going to visit. I think that's what made it worse.

What do I do then improve on my ties, though I have a land, but having issue with the papers, if an able to get that sorted out with my job, it's that enough ties.

And I also noticed alot of single ladies were denied that day,I hope I am not seeing a pattern...thinking aloud.

LadyGuinivere:
@justiceuphold.
Sorry for the refusal. However I'll advise you not to reapply. Don't take this to be an insult but there's nothing spectacular or distinguishing you from the other zillion other applicants that have been denied. From your observation you were refused because you didn't have travel history
If you can afford to travel to the US then you can afford to travel to other countries. Again feeling bad because your documents weren't checked shows you truly didn't study this thread. Nobody has their documents checked. Yet again. America does not care that you need to go for a training in the future. If you are actually nominated for a training you will still be evaluated on merit.

@legrande that is just opinion that stems from your emotions. Lay aside sentiments and self evaluate yourself.

@cosade..... U hit the nail on the head. All the tym. Well done sir/ma
You maybe right about people's document not being checked, but based on what I saw on that wednesday, they actually do, so alot of the VOs do that for a couple of applicants, which made me feel a bit bad when she refused to do that for me.

But that's in the past, I guess your advice is for me to travel to other countries before re-applying, but that still doesn't boost my Ties.

Personnel, I think my ties maybe part of the reason for my denial, so how can I improve on my ties.
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by Justiceuphold: 11:32am On Aug 08, 2017
Hi everyone, mine goes like this;
VO: next please
Me: Goodmorning, handing over my passport
VO: Goodmorning how are you
Me: fine thank you
VO: so where re you going to
Me: Texas and Florida
visiting and sightseeing
VO: asked me questions in my form,
which I answered exactly because I went through over and over.
VO: what do you do
Me: I am an engineer with XYZ company
VO: tell a bit of you job
Me: I started explaining from scratch, though I was about nervous at first, but got relaxed while talking. First timer syndrome.
VO: Have you been to any other country outside the united state,
Me: sorry
VO: I mean Nigeria,
Me: yes , but Africa countries , ghana, Cameroon, its indicated in my passport
She did even bother checking more like "I know that"
The next thing she closed that hole for passing over documents
VO: are you married?
Me: Single
VO: why US
Me: I have an invite and I have some places in particular I intend to visit in Florida, about to bring out my IV
VO: I don't need to see that.
VO: what are my ties
Me: asides from my job, I have a land I acquired but don't have the documentation with me here.
Next
VO:it's unfortunate, you don't show enough ties , she passes over the blue copy

Here comes my problem,
Personally my main motive was visitation and sight seeing and I have a monthly salary of around 400k before tax and close to 380kafter tax which can be more. Cannot place why I was denied the visa, I felt bad because
she blatantly refused to see any of my documentation, like she has made up her mind to deny me visa
I had to stand all day without food, was really dizzy while I was waiting for the guy infront of me to finish, I left the que to drink water which made me feel better

And now I need to reapply as soon asap because my company trains us in US and I don't want to have issues with Visa incase there is need for me to go for a training any time soon.

What should I do ? Should I go ahead and reapply immediately as many as advised or should I apply to another country and then try uS again.

Bear in mind, I did my interview on the 2nd of August 2017.
Thank You
