His Early Life

Moses was born in Lagos, Nigeria to a Christian pastor. When he was 11, his parents were killed in religious riots in Kaduna when rioters invaded their home. Moses was playing football in the street at the time. A week later, after being hidden by friends, his relatives paid for him to travel to the UK to claim asylum. He was placed with a foster family in South London.He attended Stanley Technical High School (now known as the Harris Academy) in South Norwood. Scouted playing football in the local Tandridge League for Cosmos 90 FC, Crystal Palace approached him, with the club's Selhurst Park stadium just streets away from his school.

Offered a place in the Eagles' academy, Palace recommended him to the fee-paying Whitgift School in Croydon, where former Arsenal and Chelsea star Colin Pates was coaching the school football team.Moses first came to prominence at 14 after scoring 50 goals for Palace's under-14s side. Playing for three years at both Whitgift and Palace, Moses scored over 100 goals as well as helping Whitgift win many School Cups, including a National Cup where Moses scored all five goals in the final against Healing School of Grimsby at the Walkers Stadium, Leicester.

Despite losing to Argentina, people say the Super Eagles left the world cup bravely. Victor Moses has been Nigeria’s leading star. This has taken us back to his personal life story. Victor Moses was born in Lagos, Nigeria to missionaries parents who once lived in Kaduna state, Nigeria. His father was pastor Austine Moses and his mother, Mrs. Josephine Moses (both late). Moses was brought up in a strict Christian faith. He grew up following and watching his parents preach the gospel of God to multitudes in Nigeria.

His parents’ death via Kaduna riot disputes in 2000

Pastor and Mrs. Moses used to preach the gospel and meet human needs without any discrimination. But little did they know they would meet their death while playing a mediator role in settling disputes between Christians and Muslims. This is the case of the Kaduna Christian/Muslim riot which took their lives in the year 2000.

Football saved his life

The Nigerian winger was 11 when his parents died in a religious violence. Fortunately for Victor, he was not at home when the incident happened. He was out to play football with his peers in far away town. Everyone at home got killed, except the absent Victor.

Won the African Nations Cup


Moses played his first match for Nigeria Super Eagles in 2011 against Guatemala.

He was part of the Super Eagles team that won African Nations Cup for South Africa he scored two goals in the tournament.

Three people have been confirmed dead and many injured when a train derailed around Abbatoir area of Agege in Lagos.
This was confirmed by the Lagos Police Command Spokesperson, Olarinde Famous-Cole

Those who were injured have been rushed to the hospital and there are fear that the casualty figures may rise

It was gathered that the train also rammed into a Trailer, injuring many.

The Police Public Relations Officers said policemen and those attached to the railway command are in control of the situation.

42-year-old sex starved man and father of 6, Babangida Garba, has been arrested for reportedly having sex with a goat. The suspect arrested at Funtua Local government area of Katsina State was paraded along side other suspects for various criminal offences by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Usman Abdullahi in the police headquarters on Thursday.

It was gathered that Garba who confessed to the offence, upon interrogation, claimed his wife usually starved him of sex.
The incident was said to have happened in Ungwar Mata, Funtua local government area where Garba was said to have had carnal intercourse with the goat belonging to his neighbor.

This historic event was made possible by the Confederations Cup’s sponsor McDonald’s, showing that football is open to disabled children and lets them get involved in international competitions.

Footage of a hairdresser having sex with her boyfriend behind a racecourse beer tent has gone viral, after the clip was shared online. The video shows Marissa Sonkur, 22, from Hawick, Roxburghshire, getting frisky with a fellow race-goer while at the Kelso Racecourse in Scotland.
Ms Sonkur, who also works with Scottish Borders Council, was said to have been left ‘mortified’ after the footage was posted on social media.

According to source Ms Sonkur had admitted it was ‘not the classiest thing I’ve ever done.’
A friend said: ‘It wasn’t just a one-time thing – she has been seeing the guy for a while. Everyone had a few drinks and then they left the tent together to get some privacy.’



The identity of the man in the video has not yet been revealed. It is believed that one of his friends filmed the footage on his phone and shared it on a group chat, before it was posted onto Facebook.
After the clip was shared online, Ms Sonkur is said to have reported the incident to police. However, it is understood that no official complaint was filed.

35 year-old man, Okon Ubem, has allegedly killed his wife, Eka Imaobong, after having sex with her in the farm.

The suspect, who hails from Ikot-Okpora village in Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State, was also accused of killing his eight year-old stepson identified as Godswill at the same scene of the incident.
The Cross River State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa, stated this in Calabar while addressing journalists.

Inuwa said the suspect was arrested on May 13, 2017 following a tip-off by one John Bassey, adding that he had confessed to the crime and would soon be charged to court.

He said: “On May 13, 2017, at about 1500 hours, one John Bassey (male) of Ikot-Okpora village in Biase LGA reported to the Divisional Police headquarters in Akpet Central that one of his tenants, Okon Ubem, went to farm where he murdered his wife, Eka Imaobong, and her eight year-old son, Godswill.

Meanwhile, Ubem said he killed his wife because she allegedly stole his N40,000.

He also admitted that he murdered the stepson because the eight year-old boy insulted him.

Former Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote has died at the age of 30 after collapsing during a training session in China.Tiote, who only moved to Chinese second division outfit Beijing Enterprises four months ago, was reportedly rushed to hospital on Monday.

However, it soon emerged that the Ivorian had passed away, with his agent confirming the his death in a statement. ‘I can confirm that my client Cheick Tiote sadly passed away today after collapsing in training with his club Beiojing Enterprises,’ said Emanuele Palladino.

Tiote begun his pro career in Belgium with Anderlecht, a period which included a loan spell with Roda JC. From there he moved to FC Twente in the Netherlands, establishing himself as an effective defensive midfielder, making 86 appearances for the Dutch side.

He moved to the Premier League to join Newcastle in 2010 and made over 150 appearances for the Toon before leaving for China at the start of the 2016-17 campaign.

Tiote was plying his trade in the second tier in China for Beijing Enterprises. He had played 17 times for the club before his death.

Demba Ba, Tiote’s former teammate at Newcastle, was among the first to tweet his respects.

“May Allah gives grant you jannah brother Tiote,” the striker posted.

Jonas Gutierrez also tweeted a tribute, saying:

“Very said to hear about the pass away of Tiote. RIP my friend. #nufc.”

A suspected Badoo member was lynched and burnt to death this morning in Oni-Ogunsanya Street, Olomomeje Mosque Area, Aga in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
According to Ikorodu Ambassadors Group on Facebook, he was first arrested by the Vigilante Group of the area, and the mob prevented the Police, SARS and the Vigilante from taking the suspect away.
