hardbody: Winding down at about now, i have looked up Nairaland and noticed some 41 mentions with more than three-quarters of those mentions questioning or doubting the veracity of my claim, which undoubtedly i regret making in a public forum (though i remain anonymous). It is really amazing that people imagine that N2m per month is a lot of money that cannot be paid by any employer.Still bragging.... .... Anyways, nice post!!! I wish you more $£€ in millions... Abeg free this guy make e chop him life ![]() |
hardbody: with just $46k. Please convert that to Naira at today's exchange rate. Poverty mentalityThat $46K is enough to turn him a billionaire if he understands the principles of investments. |
Alamation: Invite him to ur favorite bar. Drown him in woteva he takes nd arrange a girl(they are cheap anyway) for him to reset his balls for the night.Do you think everybody is irresponsible like you? |

I couldn't help, but took a look, started laughing and opened the site as well, I practically ignored what I bought 30minutes for and the time expired when I was still catching NL fun, although I didn't register until 2011, I have been visiting NL ever since then. |

Anyway make I just free you. So you want to tell me you didn't notice that I indicated the original contents owner on my post? And I specified that I brought this out to see people's view. Are u this swift to insults. |
kingston277: Weren't schools wide spread in the pre-colonial times? One article I read said nsibidi was taught to igbo children in schools in that era.Ok... I can see your point. kingston277: @OPMost of these are painting work. Very easy to fake. Now I know your problem. You have a psychiatric problem and you think you know more than you actually know bcs that your big head is deceiving you. If you don't know what to say.... Just keep quiet or keep off. |
ROSSIKE: How do we even know that the traditional African elite's refusal to share their knowledge or popularize writing, record keeping etc, wasn't borne out of thousands of years of cold hard experience in which these seeming ''advances'' have actually led to the disastrous decimation and decline of earlier civilizations? African civilization is thousands of years old, stretching into prehistory. Africa gave the world writing. The sciences. There are ruins of stone cities like Kerma in modern day Sudan, built with stunning geometry, which have been dated at over 10,000 years old! By comparison, the first voice from Europe was Homer of Greece, in 800 BC, less than 3,000 years ago. How do we know the African's decision to simplify life isn't actually an advancement based on human experience, and that he is right to deny high knowledge to the majority, seeing that they would inevitably make a mess of it? I mean, look at the world today. Knowledge has spread, and we're on the brink of annihilation from environmental, economic, and military catastrophes. Everyone can read and write. But the world is a lot less safe, secure and stable than it was in the time of our fathers. The whites - relative newcomers to civilization - wouldn't know the ancient histories of the earth... It's ancient cataclysms. Maybe our ancestors WERE RIGHT afterall. Maybe keeping records is actually a bad thing. As it reminds people of ancient wrongs... locking them into a cycle or negative recollection and action.... Maybe writing is actually an attractive but double-edged sword...leading to the spread of knowledge capable of destroying the planet.....Maybe the ancestors were right that simplicity was the antidote for another round of planetary/continental destruction.Interesting. |
delishpot: Problem with Africa is, we do not take actions with future plan in mind. We take action based on result NOW. We do not see tomorrow. So we do not write history, we do not keep records, we do not train the future we do not care how the future is born, we do not remember yesterday is important in our tomorrow, we do not see the importance of caring for a project afzer it has been completed for future to enjoy. We just want pleasure now. That is the black mans mentality, that is what is keeping him back. This is just the bitter truth. |
Read this and let's hear your views. Feeling sleepy already but I've just forced myself to put this together before sleeping... Someone said today that white people came to Africa to deceive Africans and take away their possessions. To buttress his argument, he maintained that Yoruba's "Ifa" (oracle) is synonymous to the internet enabled PC that everyone of us is using today. So I asked the person to help me connect a printer to Ifa, download just a book and then print it for me. I also asked the person the reasons the use of Ifa was restricted to some people and Yoruba kings didn't think of mandating the Ifa priests to start Ifa schools and start teaching children how to read Ifa. This somehow shows the level at which Africa advances compared to others. Awolowo came with ideas that were alien to our culture, and made education free for the people in the region under his control. He liberalized education and every child became educated. He could have restricted education to the rich alone, but he did not. Then missionaries also came and also established their cheap -in fact, almost free schools. This really helped the western part of the country. I am sorry to say, before Awolowo came with his ideas, our culture did not support liberal learning. Instead of the custodians of Ifa and its likes to liberalize their knowledge and teach many children, they kept everything to themselves and died with same. Whatever they knew was buried with them. The kings could not think of helping these Ifa priests establish schools and spread their knowledge beyond the shores of Yoruba land. So it was only natural for the people to embrace whatever oyinbo men told them was right or wrong because the oyinbos were willing and able to spread their knowledge to achieve their goals -evil or good. Let's free the oyinbo people, we ourselves didn't make good developmental efforts. Olusegun Iselaiye.

He will also be remembered for the failed Austerity measures that inflicted pains on a lot of Nigerians. RIP baba. |
Peetar3117: baba...seh na because of u just finished marking waec...dats y u are lambasting our secondary nd primary sch teachers....Not lambasting teachers, but the government. |
ifyalways: Nigeria police have crowd dispersing skills only when a politician is involved. The boy ran to the police station but they threw him out? |
I was charting with a friend this morning and he told me that the primary school teachers in kogi state are still on strike. They have been on strike since last term due to irregular payment of their salaries. He said "Primary school teachers in Kogi State are yet to receive April, May & June Salaries The state has been paying primary school teachers 60% of the N18,000 minimum wage since last year. NOT EVEN FULL MINIMUM WAGE." My observation is that this people strike and waste a term every year since 2011 and the Governor has laid off a lot of staffs as excuse to be able to pay workers salary, yet NO increment and no payment. Why won't students fail WAEC when the foundation is very faulty. What is the faith of the less privileged? Where is checks and balances? Are the governors above the law? Where is the supremacy of the law? This country is going insane. |
Odenigbo Aroli: Op could be one of the chronic Igbo haters who isn't happy with the success we made so far in education. So,he decides to help his people by failing Igbo children. Don't be surprised, Yorubas are very dirty and capable of anything. They have no conscience!I served in Igbo land and I love Igbo people.. They taught me a lot of business tactics... In fact I have Igbo friends that are genius, and I was generous in marking. There is no way you can mark people down in WAEC without being blacklisted and the scripts remarked. I have marked centers in Lagos and Northern regions where candidates scored 0/100.... I didn't record any 0 in any of the Eastern state. This issue is general, It is happening every where in the country. |
cbrass: For whereThis is a bloody lie... Only graduates, masters holders and higher qualifications marks WAEC. If anybody ask you to help mark @that level, then that person is wicked and should have been blacklisted by WAEC long ago WAEC have vetter(s) to vet all script marked CHECKERS to check all scripts marked and vetted OFFICIALS to cross check marks, vets, and Checker's work Its simply impossible to mark or record nonsense and get away with it. Stop fooling people. |
cbrass: For whereThis is a bloody lie... Only graduates, masters holders and higher qualifications marks WAEC. |
rkarang: He's probably a graduateNot probably bro... He bagged Msc last year and haters can hate while he bags his PHD before 2020 And speak this same English from CBN. |
3coins: kill yourself by eating all the papers you marked...iidiotSorry bro. I don't like trouble at all. Forgive me, if you feel offended. |
rkarang: Exactly, that was what I wanted to do. His post doesn't make any difference.Noted bro. But I wasn't condemning any body, I was only sharing my pain. Besides I rushed to open this thread while watching Nigeria's match. Anybody could have made more errors. |
3coins: with all due respect to the op...i find it very sad and pathetic that someone with a not too strong command of English like op is marking waec scripts....Tell waec to go and hire English professors to mark all subjects. Oloshi! See. I had C6 in English language when I wrote WAEC some 15 years ago. BUT the joy of it is I wrote my WAEC once. And I had Msc and Bsc in Economics and NOT English Language. So STFU |
So, u be teacher? Omo Alabi
![]() |
There's no way to help a student with an empty script! There are those WAEC employs to cross-check the scripts submitted by the markers. How u wan help someone that submitted an empty script? Will you fill the answers for him and then mark it?
There is a marking scheme we follow. If a candidate scores 0/80 I award 0 and if he/she scores 39 I award 39. Last year, I marked 94/100 and another 93/100 from a school in Lagos. I was scared I might have dashed out marks and gave the scripts to my team leader to vet and he scored them 96 and 92. If you are good, you will get good marks and if you are poor, you'll get poor marks. That's WAEC. |
FrancisTony: *Sigh* He marked Economics not English, Mr. English professor!God bless you. |
ferdimako: Who allowed you to mark?....oh the same thing!I marked Economics and not English Language bcs I am an Economist. If you studied linguistic in school and we speak at the same level then you are a disgrace to your profession. For your information every subject has its own terminology. And that's why some people have distinctions in eight subjects and fail English Language. Olodo.... |
ibitomisi: That's Hell! Do you live in Kogi- State. You should have done what channels Tv introduced. Take a piz and send it to them... That'd facilitate better responseI was trying to be careful, make den no break my head bcs dey did it in front of d police station and threatened to break the head of any police that interferes. In fact the boy ran into the police station and the police threw him out in fear. I'll contact friends to see if they took pictures. |
ITbomb: I recently helped a friend in it, you should mention the copied works, not that the students copying dey vex me, they cannot even copy. Any mistake you see in a script will be repeated in the next 20 scripts.I forgot to mention that. Almost everybody in a center writes the same thing, in fact a candidate forgot the photocopy of one of the answers in his/her booklet (teacher involved malpractice) and another forgot a page of the keypoint in the booklet. The education sector is really deteriorating by the year. |
As we conclude this year's June/July WAEC marking, I cry for the future of these students. I marked 645 scripts in Economics for some Onitsha schools and only 2 candidates scored above 40/80 in paper2. One scored 45 and the other 48 while more than 80% scored below 20. Some 2/80, 1/80 despite my simple marking. Honestly like 3 candidates wrote only "PLEASE HELP ME" in their answer booklets. One thing I noticed is that all the centers I marked are public school centers. What has gone wrong with our public schools? A lot of professors in Nigeria today were products of public schools, our president and most Governors are products of public schools, but why have they taken their children abroad, to private schools and destroy the public schools for the less privileged. |
