Travel / Re: Thailand Cancels Visa-on-arrival Fee For Tourists by kabbayya: 7:32pm On Nov 14, 2018
goldcoinhub:
Thailand says it will grant a visa-on-arrival fee waiver to tourists from 21 countries and regions.

According to the announcement on the Royal Gazette, from November 15 to January 13, 2019, citizens of the countries including China will be exempted from the 60 US dollars visa-on-arrival fee for the purpose of touring in Thailand not more than 15 days.

Yuthasak Supasorn, governor of Tourism Authority of Thailand, said on Tuesday that the visa fee exemption was made to boost falling tourist numbers over the peak New Year holiday season, especially for visitors from China, the kingdom’s largest tourism market.

Tourism takes up about 20 per cent of the country’s economic growth.

Chinese tourists contribute about one-third of the country’s total foreign arrivals.

Thailand has seen a nine per cent drop in the number of Chinese tourists in the third quarter after a 25 per cent increase in the first two quarters year-on-year.

Please, be aware of a new scam method currently going now by a so called travel and tours agent called Saisa travels and tours ltd. They have their operating offices in Lagos and Abuja. They claimed to process work permit visa for prospective applicants to most of the countries in the world. It's lie;,there is no truth in their claim.
Once you show interest they will cunningly request you to make an initial deposit of a certain amount of money, e.g. for Canada depending on the package selected can be up to N350,000.After that you will be required to submit the data page of your passport and passport photo. Then after about one month a fake employment letter will be issued purported to be from the selected foreign country. Then you will be required to pay another deposit of N350,000. Having done this you will required to fill some questionnaires and others forms to be submitted to the embassy of the origin of employment letter. After this stage they will inform you to wait for the embassy to invite you for biometric.
You will then begin to wait while they will be giving you exudes until suddenly they will not pick your calls or reply to mails again. Infant I was defrauded by them of an amount totalling N700,000 for a Canada work visa plus employment package. I am currently planning to report their activities to Police or efcc and related government agencies so that they can be tracked and brought to book.
I am warning you. Do not fall to their gimmick else you will be duped. I am one of the victims of their scam.
Please, comment and share your experience if you also a victim of these fraudsters They are still operating and defrauding innocent citizens of their hard earned money.

The sad thing about political commentary in Nigeria is that it has degenerated to this.

Dude, I am advising you to let go of the hate. For your own good. You can disagree with Buhari...you can critique his polices. (Lord knows I do that)...but when you crossover into hate territory, you are on a path of no return.

Same goes for all those people wishing Atiku the same.

Let us make Nairaland a decent place.
Dude, for your own good, advice yourself first, Mr pretender!

I opened a new topic on tips to travel to Turkey but it was deleted i dont know why. But let me make it open here. You said we do not advertise here. There is no way one can help people to travel to Turkey without involving money. I have lived in Istanbul, Ferikkoy for 6years. Turkish visa is not akamu case. It is a hard nut to crack. But recently a system was opened that you can now have a work permit from Nigeria before you go to the embassy to obtain a visa. I am not blabbing. I have it already tested and the person is in Turkey now. Someone should try it here and share the testimony. I dont beleive in talking too much.
Lets risk it and see.
How does this work?
