On Friday, October 17, 2025, the Minister of Defence, conducted an inspection of Leonardo S.p.A defence production facilities in Vergiate and Venegono, Northern Italy, as part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s official visit to Italy for the AQABA Process Meeting in Rome.

At the Leonardo Helicopters Division in Vergiate, the Minister inspected the production of 10 AW109 Trekker attack helicopters for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF). He was informed that three helicopters are fully completed and ready for acceptance, another three will be completed by the end of 2025, while the remaining four are scheduled for early 2026.

At the Leonardo Aircraft Division in Venegono (VA), he reviewed progress on 24 M-346 Fighter Attack Jets being produced for Nigeria. Six of the aircraft are at advanced stages of production, with three already undergoing flight tests and the other three expected to begin testing shortly. The delivery plan is structured in four tranches of six aircraft each, including armaments, support equipment, tools, spare parts, and comprehensive training and logistics support services.

You think so? Seems to me peripheral vision is impaired by devices not even in use. Here's another pair of pics for comparison.
Vision is not impaired. The STATT guys have their NVGs on correctly.

See better view.

The SBS professionals should have a quiet word with the guys at Pic 2 about how to position NVGs when not using them.
This is what the Navy SBS have on.

I don't get what your post is about.

100+ bandits on motorcycles were spotted 72hrs ago by HUMINT moving from Zamfara. Late hours of yesterday they already hit Kwara and attacking. We should have stopped that
Yes, agree with this.

However they are also multiple reports of quick interventions too.

Nigerian Air Force M-346FA conducting flight tests.

Notice it's Radar has been installed.

Nigeria has 24 units of the M346FA on order.

6 units were scheduled to be delivered by the end of the year, but I don't see that target been met by the OEM.

No I don't think so.

The service had new model Tar-21s in 2023 edition of this exercise. See photo.

They only began fielding this newer weapon in 2024.

Seems the DSS have ditched the Israeli made TAVOR and stick with the M4
That's not an M4 though.

It's an M4 pattern rifle. We don't know yet what type or make of rifle that is.

DSS started using these from 2024.
