Why Israel lost to Hezbollah ~ Part 1 DEBKAfile Exclusive: American electronic warfare experts in Israel to find out how Hizballah’s Iranian systems neutralized Israeli EW. August 23, 2006, 3:18 PM (GMT+02:00) DEBKA-Net-Weekly 266 first drew attention to Iran’s heavy EW investment and its successful functioning in the Lebanon War on Aug. 11, 06. This first account will be followed up in the next DNW issue out on Friday, Aug. 25. DEBKAfile on Aug. 23 adds: The American EW experts are interested in four areas. 1. The Israeli EW systems’ failure to block Hizballah’s command and communications and the links between the Lebanese command and the Syria-based Iranian headquarters. 2. How Iranian technicians helped Hizballah eavesdrop on Israel’s communications networks and mobile telephones, including Israeli soldiers’ conversations from inside Lebanon. 3. How Iranian EW installed in Lebanese army coastal radar stations blocked the Barak anti-missile missiles aboard Israeli warships, allowing Hizballah to hit the Israeli corvette Hanith. 4. Why Israeli EW was unable to jam the military systems at the Iranian embassy in Beirut, which hosted the underground war room out of which Hassan Nasrallah and his top commanders, including Imad Mughniyeh, functioned. Until the watershed date of July 12, 2006, when the Hizballah triggered the Lebanon War, Israel was accounted an important world power in the development of electronic warfare systems – so much so that a symbiotic relationship evolved for the research and development of many US and Israeli electronic warfare systems, in which a mix of complementary American and Israeli devices and methods were invested. In combat against Hizballah, both were not only found wanting, but had been actively neutralized, so that none performed the functions for which they were designed. This poses both the US and Israel with a serious problem in a further round of the Lebanon war and any military clash with Iran. DEBKAfile’s military sources add: Both intelligence services underestimated the tremendous effort Iran invested in state of the art electronic warfare gadgetry designed to disable American military operations in Iraq and IDF functions in Israel and Lebanon. Israel’s electronic warfare units were taken by surprise by the sophisticated protective mechanisms attached to Hizballah’s communications networks, which were discovered to be connected by optical fibers which are not susceptible to electronic jamming. American and Israeli experts realize now that they overlooked the key feature of the naval exercise Iran staged in the Persian Gulf last April: Iran’s leap ahead in electronic warfare. They dismissed most the weapons systems as old-fashioned. But among them were the C-802 cruise missile and several electronic warfare systems, both of which turned up in the Lebanon war with deadly effect. http://debka.com/headline.php?hid=3166 |
Aug. 23, 2006 -- WMR reporting today from Helsinki, Finland. In another sign that the United States is rapidly drifting into "Third World" status as a major world debtor nation, Russia has announced that it has paid off its $31.1 billion debt to foreign countries incurred during Soviet times. Russia paid off its debt largely as a result of the increase in the price of oil -- a major Russian export. Not only has the ruble been made fully convertible but Russia is now attracting major investments and its bond rating has improved. Russia's economic turnaround has also increased its clout at the expense of Bush's neo-con strategists. Russia has forgiven about two thirds of Syria's $13 billion debt and has initiated port development schemes in the ports of Tartus and Latakia, old Soviet naval bases. Russia's strong financial and military support for Syria checked neo-con plans to militarily attack Syria. The paying off of Russia's debt to Germany, Britain, the Netherlands, Finland, Switzerland, Denmark, Portugal, France and other Paris Club creditor nations has also increased Moscow's financial and political clout in Europe at the expense of Washington's. Russia is to offer Eurobonds to commercial creditors in lieu of payment in U.S. dollars. Moscow's central bank reserves, estimated at $277 billion, are the world's third largest, ranked after those of Japan and China. On the other hand, the two Asian economic giants are America's two largest creditor nations. Russia's economic clean bill of health would not have been possible had not President Vladimir Putin not declared war on Russia's criminal oligarch's, many of whom have fled to Israel and who reside in that country with guarantees from extradition back to Russia to stand trial. However, in 2005 Russia did jail for nine years Yukos oil oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky -- a dual Russian-Israeli citizen. Not surprisingly, George W. Bush, acting on behalf of Israeli criminal interests and neo-con advisers, led largely by Bush's favorite author, Israeli former Soviet "refusenik" Natan Sharansky, demanded that Putin free Khodorkosvky. Putin ignored Bush's plea. Russia can now afford to thumb its nose at Bush and his neo-con cabal. From Iran to Syria, Lebanon to Palestine, and Venezuela to Central Asia, Russia is flexing its political and economic muscles and the neo-cons are finding their moves checked at every turn by a Russian government that long ago declared war on the neo-cons and their Russian criminal facilitators. |
Russia to defend its principal Middle East ally: Moscow takes Syria under its protection. by Ivan Safronov July 28, 2006 Establishment of a base in Tartus and rapid advancement of military technology cooperation with Damascus make Syria Russia's instrumental bridgehead and bulwark in the Middle East. Damascus is an important ally of Iran and irreconcilable enemy of Israel. It goes without saying that appearance of the Russian military base in the region will certainly introduce corrections into the existing correlation of forces. Russia is taking the Syrian regime under its protection. It will almost certainly sour Moscow's relations with Israel. It may even encourage the Iranian regime nearby and make it even less tractable in the nuclear program talks. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=viewArticle&code=IVA20060728&articleId=2847 Russian Base in Syria, a Symmetrical Strategic Move. by Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya July 28, 2006 Russian military officials have consistently denied reports that Russia is creating a permanent naval base in Tartus, Syria that would give it a Mediterranean outpost and represent a major shift in the regional security balance of the Eastern Mediterranean, the Levant, and the Middle East as a whole. Reports were emerging long before the Israeli attacks on Lebanon that Russia had begun work on deepening the Syrian maritime port of Tartus, used by the Soviet Union and later Russia as a supply point since the Cold War, and widening a channel in Latakia, another Syrian port. Both Tartus and Latakia are significant for both Syria and Russia in that they face the outlet of the Ceyhan end—the receiving end—of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceylan oil terminal giving Russia and its partners the ability to disrupt or secure the port and route during the possibility of the eruption of any future war(s) with the United States. The establishment of this Russian project has been presented as an alternative hub for the Russian Black Sea Fleet, based in the Crimean port of Sevastopol, in the Ukraine, but this seems to be undermined by upgrading and expansion of the Russian naval port of Novorossysk off the eastern margins of the Black Sea. The creation or expansion of naval or military bases off the Syrian coast and Russian coast off the Black Sea seem to imply the future employment of two different forces with different applications for the national and security interests of Russia. The Russian expansion of the Tartus would include the installation of an air defence system with S-300 PMU2 Favourite ballistic missile system that would be a virtual threat to the Ceyhan, maritime traffic, the flow of oil, and would provide an air defence shield for vital portions of Syria that are strategically important, especially in the event of a war. In essence Damascus, the Syrian capital, and Syria would be protected from either Israeli or American aerial bombardment. It is clear that the Russian aims in Syria are a symmetrical reaction to American objectives for the Middle East and part of a global chess game. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=viewArticle&code=20060728&articleId=2839 |
I could remember some years back, watching one of those satellite channels in which a Preacher, a neo-con fundamental evangelist, was espousing to the congregation how the God of Israel sent his Angels to defend Israel and defeat the Arabs in Yom Kippur war of 1973. What surprises me is the cadre of educated folks that readily believe in this lie. Being educated does not mean one is intelligent. Education and Intellect are not mutually inclusive. Egypt had crushed the Israeli army and recovered the Sinai peninsula. In a desperate move, Israel threatened to nuke Egypt but could not, because Soviet Union promised to turn Israel into a nuclear wasteland if it did. At the same time, Nixon was mired in the Watergate scandal and in other to divert US attention from Watergate to the Mideast war, Nixon dispatched US personnel, materiel and supplies to Israel. It was the US military that fought the war to a stalemate. Despite this, Nixon was still impeached and was always portrayed as an anti-semite. This is not 1973, US has no Brigade to spare, its military is stretched thin. US military is in a quagmire in both Afghanistan and Iraq. The brokered ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah is just temporary. Israel is being set up for destruction. And Israel has promised not to go down quietly. Thus, the entire Mid-East could easily become a nuclear wasteland. And which God or Gods 'll come down to clean the place up? Mankind, you're on your own. Sharon knew of the game plan but 'll not go along. He was got rid off, as a result. Olmert was willing to do the bidding of the new world order and its shadow one world government. Olmert failed to deliver despite massive aid and logistics, which means he has to go. His replacement 'll be more hawkish. The cycle of violence 'll continue. The religious folks on either side of the fence should brace themselves for a big let down. Your holy of holies in the Mid-East are destined for destruction and their is no God or Gods that 'll shed tears. The truth 'll eventually reveal itself, in that these so called three monotheistic religions are nothing but sugar-coated paganism. The US military is the policeman of the NWO. The US economy was run aground, starting with the Vietnam war and the cold war, in which trillions of $$$$ were massively borrowed, all in the name of global power projection. Nixon had to remove dollar from the Gold standard in August of 1971 because US defaulted on its debt obligation. Gold standard means that for every currency that is printed, it must be backed with Gold. This prevents a nation from just printing money any how since Gold is of limited supply and must be earned. Back then, world currency was stable, no currency speculation and no derivatives. US is financially bankrupt. US must borrow around $4 billion daily to survive. If either Saudi, Japan or China recalls its Treasury notes, US 'll experience a financial meltdown, resulting in a mega economic depression. Imagine a $1 becoming 10 cents. The contingency plan is not to honor any dollar outside of the US shore, thus, all the US dollar abroad becomes a toilet paper, worthless. We all know what a toilet paper is used for. The way the system works is this, US is writing out cheques, (printing dollars with no Gold to back it up), to buy goods without having any money in the bank but using its military muscle to prevent the "sellers" from cashing the cheques (US will not redeem your dollar with Gold). Transactions between World Central banks are based on issuance of Gold. US made a deal with Saudi, the rest of OPEC has to go along, to accept payment only in dollars. The "sellers" use the bad cheques to buy oil, since everyone needs oil. This forces many nations to 've dollar reserve. Saudi and the rest of OPEC 'll then redeposits the bad cheques into US banks, this is called Petro-dollar circulation. Hence, US can continue to write out bad cheques and was able to get away with it until now. This Ponzi scheme can no longer be sustained without structural surgery on US economy. But US wants to maintain the status quo and now sees China as an economic threat and the only way US can contain China is to control Iran. Why? because the remaining Mid-Eastern oilfields are either directly or indirectly in US hands. He that controls the flow of oil controls the global economy. Without oil, economic engine of a nation grinds to a halt. China's response is to invest heavily in Iran, Sudan, Indonesia, Venezuela and now Nigeria, amongst others. What do these countries 've in common? Oil and Gas. If you were China, would you allow your investments to be threatened without responding? US does not care about the blacks in Sudan, it's only supporting the rebels in order to undermine Chinese interests. US went to Somalia because of the massive hydrocarbon deposits but the media portrayed it as a humanitarian gesture. The Somali 'll not play ball, and the increasing number of US causalities caused Clinton to panic and withdraw from Somalia. US is undermining Indonesia via East Timor, Jakarta 'll not blink. US wants to remove Chavez from power in Venezuela, planning and supporting a coup against him in 2002, but it has not succeeded yet. Obasanjo understands Geo-politics 101, no permanent friends, but permanent interests. US is alarmed that China is investing billions in Naija economy. US 'll never do that but wants you to take more loans from World Bank and IMF, in order to control your economy. If OBJ stays beyond May 2007, US is worried that its oil interests could be undermined. Why? These multi-national companies 've cheated Naija, hundreds of billions of dollars over the past 30 years, aided by the subversive and incorrigible Naija officials whose narrow interests is against our collective interests. OBJ knows this and he's waiting for the right moment before unleashing Ribadu and EFCC on them. Atiku and Babangida are too corrupt. The US intelligence has dossier on these two and can easily blackmail them. Buhari is upright, though narrow minded, but he needs Idi-agbon. Idi-agbon is no more. Buhari is too weak as a leader. Idi-agbon was the backbone of his government at the time. Our best bet is Ribadu succeeding OBJ, none of the governors impresses me. China has thus avoided for now, the economic pincher move of US. The next option US has is to engage China militarily via its proxy, Taiwan. China has dared Taiwan to declare its independence. At the same time, China has signed a mutual defence pact with Russia. Putin of Russia is a Chess player and Kremlin is full of Grandmasters. Russia has armed China and Iran to the teeth and it has just established a military base in Syria. Now you know why Iran and Syria are beaming with confidence. Would Washington be suicidal enough to engage Moscow in a nuclear exchange? Then, is Russia as powerful as US? One has to look at the per capital number of Physicists, Mathematicians and Scientists. Which is why Russia is revered in Nuclear Physics ~ fission, fusion, laser, quantum. And in Mathematics ~ complex algorithm. And Exploration ~ space, stellar, polar. One has to be retarded to believe that Israel won this war. It's an open secret that Hezbollah defeated Israel twice in six years. Many people are educated but very few are intellectual. Education can be bought if one has the money, but intellect must be earned. The former is very narrow while the latter is very broad. Hence, you're a mirror of your environment, and a reflection of who you surround your self with. The series continues on how Israel lost the war. |
Why is Israel losing the war? - Part 4 IDF reservists: Our missions are unclear, our combat equipment is antiquated. Reserve soldiers are returning from fighting in south Lebanon with harsh criticisms of their operational preparedness and the combat equipment with which they had been supplied. After three days of combat in south Lebanon, infantry soldiers from the Israel Defense Force's reserve Carmeli Battalion returned Sunday to Israel. A., a young reservist who spent his mandatory service in the Golani Brigade during the second intifada, said, "For two days, we barely made any progress. The soldiers simply don't really know what the mission is. You are mostly kept busy with protecting yourself." Interviews with the battalion's soldiers revealed a picture of complicated fighting under heavy Hezbollah fire in which the soldiers know very little of their mission. Nearly every reserve unit has complained about a lack of emergency equipment over the past several days. The soldier's in A.'s brigade operated in the villages of Kila and Bnei al-Awad in the central sector. A. says that things he witnessed in recent days in Lebanon bear no resemblance to anything he saw as a recruit in the Palestinian territories. "We seized a few homes in the village under constant bombardment from mortar shells," A. says. "It is nothing like the territories. During daylight hours, you do not see a living soul. You barely see anything at night either. There are apparently people who pass Hezbollah information regarding the location of our forces and they fire mortar shells. The shells fall around you and that is frightening. "Many soldiers don't have short-barreled M-16 rifles, communications equipment or even tourniquets," "A" said. Hanan (fictitious name), who serves in an elite reserve unit, said soldiers returning from combat in Lebanon were forced to hand their weapons over to soldiers heading north across the border. Gili is also a soldier in an elite reserve infantry unit that is supposed to be supplied with the most sophisticated equipment. One week ago, when his unit was deployed to Lebanon, it became clear that most of their wartime equipment was missing from their emergency warehouses. "We are supposed to enter the fray against guerilla fighters who have been training for six years," Gili said Monday. "And our weapons are the only advantage that we have over them. During all the years that I served in the reserves, we had the best equipment but now that we have reached the moment of truth the equipment has vanished." Soldiers from the Alexandroni Brigade now serving in Lebanon were shocked to discover they were issued equipment dating from the first Lebanon war in 1982. "My helmet was manufactured in 1981," said 22-year-old Gal. "It is three years older than me." The unit's maintenance officer, Eli Altman, said the newest equipment was naturally distributed to combat soldiers in the regular army. Altman added, however, "We could have ensured that the equipment in our warehouses would be useable." Former chief reserve officer Brigadier General Ariel Heimann said he was troubled by the combat fitness level of reserve soldiers. It is no secret that the IDF's reserve units were the main victims of budget cuts over the past several years. "The easiest thing is to cut training hours," Heimann said. "What is clear is that the reserve units have not been trained enough. The extent to which this lack of training is critical can only be measured during combat." Against the background of budget cuts, Heimann and others led reforms in reserve service in which it was decided to exempt reserve forces from military operations and limit their days of service to training. Heimann maintains that the current war proves the wisdom of this decision. Contrary to soldiers in the regular army, reservists are not required to maintain their fitness level. Before their deployment in Lebanon, soldiers from the Alexandroni Brigade trained for three days. During this short period of time, the reservists were meant to prepare themselves long hikes through steep, rocky terrain while carrying equipment weighing up to 40 kilograms. Reserve deputy battalion commander Major Ziv Rozelman said their extensive combat experience and their earlier periods of deployment in Lebanon give make up for their lower fitness levels. Deputy Battalion Commander Major Ziv Rozelman claims that reservists' previous combat experience and the fact that, unlike recruits, they served in Lebanon in the past compensates for their lack of physical fitness. "There is no doubt that enlisted soldiers are stronger but we are like old bulls: We work slowly but surely and take no risks." http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/747356.html |
Why is Israel losing the war? - Part 3 Israel is blaming Russia for its defeat. Putin is a businessman and sells his hardware to anyone that has the $$$$. Who supplies 90% of Israeli military? USA, and it's free at the expense of US taxpayers. Does anyone complain? No. That's America's prerogative. So why is Israel complaining? Because the war is lost and it's human nature to blame others for one's predicament. Israel’s Defense Minister Slams Russian Sophisticated-Weapons Deliveries to Middle East. Created: 09.08.2006 16:07 MSK (GMT +3), Updated: 16:18 MSK Hezbollah’s troops are using modern and sophisticated Russian-made anti-tank missiles against Israel’s army in fights in the South of Lebanon, Israel’s defense minister Amir Peretz said Wednesday, RIA Novosti news agency reports. “We are fighting against the Iranian commando, which is armed with sophisticated, modern weaponry. This includes Russian-made anti-tank missiles, which in the past it was promised would not fall into the hands of Hezbollah. This weapon is used today against IDF soldiers in Lebanon,” Peretz said during the meeting with the German Foreign Minister, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, ynetnews.com reports. The Gaaretz newspaper claimed on Sunday that Hezbollah used Russian-made RPG-29 anti-tank missiles, which were sold to Syria by Russia, and then to Hezbollah. RPG-29 missiles are able to break through the heavy armor of Israel’s “Merkava” tanks. Hezbollah fighters also use RPG’s against Israeli troops. Israel found out that Hezbollah possesses Russian-made anti-tank missiles in November 2005, after Hezbollah fighters had attacked Israel’s army in Radjar village. “Then, against existing practice, Israel had given Russia one of the missile’s tail-end for analysis. Russia then said that it was impossible to determine whether this rocket had been sold to Syria or not, due to the missing serial number,” the Gaaretz article reads. http://www.mosnews.com/news/2006/08/09/peretzslamsrussia.shtml |
Why is Israel losing the war? - Part 2 The IDF spokesman announces: 15 Israeli soldiers were killed, 34 injured Wednesday, in heavy clashes with Hizballah in S. Lebanon. Nine belonged to special operations units. August 10, 2006, 1:38 AM (GMT+02:00) Seven of the injured are in serious condition. This was the highest number of Israeli war losses in one day in thirty days of combat against Hizballah. In the first incident, a reserve paratrooper was killed and 10 of his comrades were wounded by friendly fire from a tank in Taiba village on the eastern front. At noon, a Merkava tank was blown up by a Hizballah anti-tank missile at Ayta a Chaab in the west. All four of its crew, reservists, were killed on the spot. Half an hour later, 2 anti-tank rockets killed 9 members of Paratroop Brigade engineering unit in Debel village west of Bint Jubeil. Three men were seriously hurt. Two died on the way to hospital. http://debka.com |
Why is Israel losing the war? - Part 1 Anyone that visits debka.com knows that debka has a direct access to Israeli military and Intelligence. For debka to be this pessimistic, late in the game, shows the obvious, Hezbollah is a formidable opponent that does not fight with "slingshots and stones". Israeli military is geared for quick victory, but vulnerable to a protracted war of attrition, as attested in its previous disastrous invasion and occupation of Lebanon. DEBKAfile’s military sources add: Notwithstanding the official denials, this step is a manifestation of dissatisfaction on the part of chief of staff, Lt-Gen Dan Halutz, with the conduct of the war and his lack of confidence in the IDF’s northern command’s ability to carry the campaign forward without on-location supervision. Questions regarding Maj.-Gen Udi Adam’s competence for this particular campaign were asked at the outset of the war, which erupted on July 12 when Hizballah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers, killed 8 and loosed its first rocket attack on northern Israel. Gen. Adam specializes in classical tank warfare. He has never encountered comprehensive warfare in Lebanon’s special conditions against a Hizballah guerrilla force backed by Iranian and Syrian sponsors, trainers and armorers. In the first month of the conflict, Israeli tanks and their crews have borne the brunt of battle losses, prey to Hizballah’s anti-tank weapons, for which no tactical answer has been found. Neither have Hizballah strongholds been cracked in places such as Bin Jubeil ,where the fighting flares up time and again after Hizballa fighters have been ostensibly cleared out. The IDF’s backbone, the Merkava tanks, are clearly too vulnerable and Hizballah fortifications too difficult to breach. The chief of staff, although advised in the third week of the war by many senior officers including reserve generals to shake up the northern command to restore its edge and offensive momentum, was reluctant to change horses in mid-war. He rejected advice to take a leaf of army chiefs in other wars and place more experienced and gifted generals alongside the chief of the northern command. He was reminded that the deadly reverses of the 1973 Yom Kippur War were addressed by appointing former chief of staff Haim Barlev to the southern command to oversee Gen. Shmuel Gorodish. The name that came up most recently was Maj.-Gen (res.) Gabi Ashkenzi, who headed the northern command until last year and knows the Hizballah arena like the palm of his hand. Gen. Halutz brushed these proposed changes aside, fearing the Yom Kippur analogy would prompt questions about the preparedness of the general staff as a whole for the Lebanon war, the appointments he approved in the last year and his repeated assertion that he sees no danger of conventional war in the IDF’s foreseeable future. This misperception which dominated the consciousness of political and military decision-makers also colored the selection of senior commanders. However, Tuesday, August 8, when Halutz saw the northern command was incapable of finishing the Bin Jubeil battle, he decided to send Gen. Kaplinsky, 49, into the breach. As former OC Central Command, Kaplinsky’s forte is the disposition of ground forces. He is a former commander of the Golani infantry brigade. Kaplinsky needs to pull off the feat the late Moshe Dayan managed in 1967 on the eve of the Six-Day War – to pick up in short order the Israeli army’s once-acclaimed capabilities as a limber, versatile, fast-moving, innovative force that is crowned with success. After a campaign which has dragged on for too long with too much loss of life and too few successes, Israel thirsts for a breakthrough to victory. http://debka.com/headline.php?hid=3076 |

davidylan ~ Anyone can create a blog and support either side. What's the big deal with that? I've being to many Israeli blogs, populated with pro-Israeli views like yours. I'm sure the Arabs 've their own blog with Pro-Arab views. It seems that you and Tom Gross are watching different newsfeed from what the rest of us are watching. I can't believe that you'll say, BBC is Pro-Hezbollah. So, if Mr. Tom says that, that must be true. And you believe it hook, line, and sink? davidylan:Do you know how many Israeli commandos and special forces that 've being ambushed and killed, but not being reported, by the same media you're accusing of being biased, or how many botched operations are being announced as successful, all for public consumption? After the conflict ends, you'll see scores of Israeli Markava tanks and Armored vehicles that 've being destroyed. The "biased" media is suppressing depressing news from the warfronts. |
davidylan ~ I read your post. But I was not surprised that you believed the point of view being espoused by Tom Gross. What do you expect? Even a child born yesterday knows that western media is biased towards Israel, not against. He is Jewish and a fervent Pro-Israel. There's not wrong with that. He's looking for sympathy for his cause and he got you hooked. He writes for Israel first, publications. I did help you in your homework since you failed to discern his agenda. nilla ~ Here is what Forbes, quoting AP, reported: The militant group Hezbollah captured two Israeli soldiers during clashes Wednesday across the border in southern Lebanon, prompting a swift reaction from Israel, which sent ground forces into its neighbor to look for them.http://www.forbes.com/technology/feeds/ap/2006/07/12/ap2873051.html The two soldiers were captured in Lebanon. As I said earlier, Hezbollah can not sneak into Israel and kidnap the said soldiers. Israeli border defence is too formidable for Hezbollah to penetrate without being detected. The war was provoked. Why? |
Why one should not trust the Media. What really happened that led to the capture of the two Israeli soldiers? Where did it take place? Are we being misled? Lets find out what happened on Wednesday, July 12th, 2006: http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/israeli_solders.html Israeli borders are heavily protected with Sensors, Drones, Optical and Infra-red camera, Guard dogs, Snipers, Tanks, Attack helos, and Low orbit satellites. A Guerrilla has a better chance of winning a lottery than breaching it, cos it usually means a DOA, dead on arrival. If it were so easy to penetrate, Hezbollah could 've had the Lebanese Sheeba farms back and Syria could 've got back its Golan Heights. So how was Hezbollah able to penetrate such a formidable defence without being detected? This is not a US-Mexican border, and porous border is not part of Israeli lexicon. http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/israeli_solders.html |
nilla ~ One should never trust the media. They are part of the problem, too one sided. There are two sides to a story. For someone to act certain way, there needs to be a reason. The media feed on the ignorance of many, as indicated here: "Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have." ~ Richard Salent, Former President of CBS News |

And I expect you to critique each. Is not a matter of glancing through. http://www.tbrnews.org/Archives/a2449.htm#001 Another important link here: http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/13trindx.htm |
debosky ~ Read the first two links that I posted. And we can then meet on that Intellectual plane. We can't 've any discussion on it if you failed to read those articles. Is not a matter of glancing through. Check those links out. And we can discuss further. |
nilla ~ Some of those Christian leaders, that are vanguard of war, just like their Muslim counterparts, are Pat Robertson, Rev. Dr. Jerry Falwell, Pastor John C. Hagee, and Pastor George Morrison. |
The Root Causes of the Mid-East Conflicts It's easy for many of us to sit in our living room, and being the arm-chair quarterback. I can deduce that our respective bias is predicated by our religious beliefs, while very few of us can stand above the fray and analyze the situation objectively. I can care less for either side, but that does not preclude one from doing a root cause analysis on this age old time bomb, if not nicked at the bud guarantees a WW3, a nuclear Armageddon. In which case, none of us will be around to know the outcome. The Shiites are expecting their Mahdi, the Jews are expecting their Messiah while Christians are waiting for the return of Yeshua Ben Joseph ~ Jesus Christ. All of them wants an Armageddon to precipitate the coming. If Mahdi comes, will the other two accept him? what of if Jewish messiah arrives, will the other two accept him? What of Jesus? Will the other two accept him? By the way, Hindus, Buddhists, Native American Indians are all waiting for their respective messiah. In Yoruba ifa, Orunmila is supposed to return. So, how many messiahs are out there? All tend not to be compatible. How could one agree with the fatwa issuing Imams that would not send their children to the war fronts, or Rabbi saying their God condones the killing of women and children, or the Christian leaders here, that act as the vanguard of war? And they are all using their respective koran, talmud and bible to justify their action. So who is following the ten commandments? None. Reflecting on the past and present cataclysm events, it seems as if mankind lives in a Zoo called Earth and some advanced people from advanced civilizations are just watching for non-interference reason, as we mire in this cesspool of ignorance, deceit, lies and wanton destruction, which by the way is the basis of these three major religions. History is set of lies agreed upon, since mankind can not handle the truth. Check this link on the root causes of the Mid-East conflicts: http://www.tbrnews.org/Archives/a2449.htm#001 Another important link here: http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/13trindx.htm War is not for the timid. We should all start learning how to shoot AK-47 or M-16 because canon fodders are needed by each respective side we support. The psychological training begins here: http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/wounded/gallery.htm |
texazzpete ~ Mr Wikipedia. I am disappointed at you. You base your entire reference on Wikipedia and calling yourself an expert on history? I can go to Wikipedia and glorify Nigeria. Mr Copy and Paste, Nigerians are known for their Intellectual disposition, despite mediocre leadership, but you're an embarrassment. Who are the fools that listen to you? Where is Pearl Harbor? Hawaii. Where is Hawaii? The 50th state of America. You never knew that? So the declassified memo does not make sense to you? O ma se o. What Professor Tsuyoshi Hasegawa, a Professor of History at the University of California, Santa Barbara wrote was based on the archives of American, Soviet, and Japanese records of WW2 that led to Japanese Surrender. Read the entire link and see what the other experts like you said. So you don't trust declassified records? Hitler made the same mistake your Napoleon made in the Invasion of Russia of 1812, which was also a turning point in the Napoleonic wars. The campaign decimated the French and allied invasion forces of around 800,000 men to less than 2%. Do the math. History loves to repeat itself, if one doesn't learn from past mistakes, as attested to the similar destruction of the formidable German Nazi War Machine, the best and greatest of its time, on the same Eastern Front. Remember General Winter. texazzpete, you met your Waterloo here on this thread. Who first launched Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles, ICBM? Who is the first country in Space? The Soviets launched Sputnik in 1957, the first man made satellite. What of Vostok 1 that launched Gagarin in 1961? Compare that to Freedom 7 that sent Alan Shepard up, afterwards. Have you heard of Konstantin Tsiolkovskiy? Check this link: http://history.nasa.gov/sputnik/kon.html I doubt it if you're well versed in Orbit Mechanics. |
I'll tell you later, but not via the forum. |
