Christianity EtcRe: Who Created God? by kabukabu50(m): 6:27pm On Nov 14, 2011
Man created God, simple.

Ancient Men created God as an easy alternative to all the questions they had about destiny, fate, existence. All other religions are devised offshoots of all others who had their own conceptions of what their own concept of human servitude to God is, Islam,Bhuddism,Christianity and so on.

A simple footnote here, If Nigerians spent as much time harnessing their talents as they do fantasizing about various religions,Christianity,Islam and others,we would be the most prosperous and advanced nation on planet Earth. grin grin

RomanceRe: Why Are Women So Emotional? by kabukabu50(m): 12:32pm On Nov 13, 2011
Men and women are hardwired to be emotional, the difference is men are taught to suppress theirs and women are encouraged to express theirs, K cool

Now that I answered your silly question, pay me for my internet time spent. cheesy
TravelRe: Words/slangs/phrases You Had To Learn Abroad by kabukabu50(m): 12:29pm On Nov 13, 2011
None, the world is a lot smaller than it used to be wink, most of us who grew up with american media absorb tons of it, save for a few phrases that could throw you a curved ball cool
Car TalkRe: How Often Should D Fuel Filter In A Tokunbo Car Be Changed? by kabukabu50(m): 2:45pm On Nov 09, 2011
cretin:
if its the normal ones that sit in the engine area, its ok to change them once a yr ,the more difficult ones are the inline type that are in the fuel tank, those are the ones u shud probablly not hv your local mechanic fiddle with much, unless its giving you problems.
learn to use the injector cleaners like every 6 fill ups, ie if your car uses an injector
I've never had to change a fuel filter on any car i've owned over the last 10 years, and I've owned a lot of cars cool. They rarely go bad.

how you can put self control and knowledge in the same realm baffles me.
what has self control gotta do with knowledge?

we don' need the western posion.
there's a universe of difference between self control and knowledge. . . . civilization got to africa very very late.
what's the suicide rate in the western world? what is it in africa??
That "self control" is not inherently present in african DNA or however you want me to explain it to you.
Like I previously put it, there are different cultural factors that come into play  cool

facepalm. wink

i don't hate the west - just stating facts that africans tend to have more self-control and more balanced than their counterparts in the west.
nigerian celebrities will definitely be taking drugs - but with self control.

emmatok, biko.
i am not wearing my bulletproof vest this evening.
Darn, the stuff that people put on the internet these days, just mindblowing.
Self control my behind, if africans do, how come we have not applied it to intellectual science and developed technologies that surpass western ideas, how come we are tied in in relentless corruption, how come we can't harness our own resources to make positive changes in our environment. cool cool cool

I guess not, maybe we need some more of the "western drugs" to enable our *creative genes*

child please.

coogar:
nigerian celebrities have more self-control would describe it more aptly.
That so called "self control", I already described as the influence of cultural norms and attitudes,  coolGawd, movin on.

The thread is already resembling one of those Al-jazeera*hate everything west* ones

Sheeesh.Seriously get a grip.

most of these drugs are peformance-enhancing drugs or sleeping pills.
surely, nigerian celebrities use these on the regular, they just don't get addicted to it.
So are you saying that nigerian celebrities are superhumans with a built in biological resistance to the temptation of taking more medical substances of any sort cool

I'm baffled.

makes me wonder why any of naija's top celebrities hasn't kicked the bucket as a result of being a junkie. grin
Its not a celebrity thing, its more of a cultural issue.
More people in first world countries are more likely to be addicted to drugs legal or illegal cool
They have more discretionary income.Social stigmas that exist in poorer countries deter drug use.

every system in america is an effing disgrace.
At least they have systems  cool, In Naija you can buy any drug you want on the black market.
CelebritiesRe: Michael Jackson's Doctor Found Guilty Of Involuntary Manslaughter by kabukabu50(m): 10:52pm On Nov 07, 2011
I don't know what the big deal is here anyway, Its California, Conrad Murray probably will not get any jail time,
1)California has too many inmates
2)This might be his first offense.
3)Involuntary manslaugter on just one count

He will probably get probation or a suspended sentence cool
CelebritiesRe: Michael Jackson's Doctor Found Guilty Of Involuntary Manslaughter by kabukabu50(m): 10:40pm On Nov 07, 2011
Sun of god:
They had to find a scapegoat - and Conrad Murray foots the bill.

Money . . . Money. . . . .Money,
The state of California doesn't make any money in finding conrad murray guilty, and he had no problem taking Jacksons money to proviode him with a drug that has no place being used in a private home.
CelebritiesRe: Michael Jackson's Doctor Found Guilty Of Involuntary Manslaughter by kabukabu50(m): 10:38pm On Nov 07, 2011
coogar:
ridiculous judgement!
the celebrity factor counted here. if he was any regular joe, this conrad murray wouldn't even be in court.
nansense!

other doctors of celebrities better learn from this.
they should all resign straight up. most of these celebrities are junkies.
and when they die - the doctors become the killers.
True but, it is in no way a ridiulous judegement.
Propofol is not even suppossed to be administered OUTSIDE of a hospital environment, the fact that he did that for Michael jackson was illegal and grounds for criminal guilt, even up to losing his liscense.
You should know that.

Even if Jackson somehow injected himself, the fact that it was given to him by a cerified sworn doctor, shpows that conrad murray was incompetent, simple. cool

FoodRe: How Sacred Is Your Kitchen by kabukabu50(m): 4:45pm On Nov 04, 2011
Unless one of the spouses is physically disabled, there is absolutely no need for a *househelp*. cool
If the wife can't do it all surely the husband can do the rest, most households have less then 6 people total, no reason why anyone should need a househelp in 2011,unless they own a mansion grin grin

bebe2:
hi.
I HAVE JUST LOOK THRU A BUNCH OF TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE PICS, A LOT OF THE WOMEN WERE KNEELING FOR THEIR HUSBANDS.

When was d last time u knelt down for for your spouse and how often do you do it.

men, have you ever knelt down for your wife?

as for me i have never knelt down for hubby, havent had the opportunity grin grin
This topic has been posted here before numerous times, please do a search, its been beaten to death, there is no need to post this on here grin

I'll repeat my opinion like I did last time, the only time a woman might need to kneel in front of me is when she is sucking my nightstick, and I don't mind kneeling to use my tongue to make her gush moistness down there grin
Car TalkRe: The Implications Of Buying A Vehicle With High Odometer Reading? by kabukabu50(m): 5:25pm On Nov 02, 2011
dagboss:
Fellow Nairalanders i have checked the vin reports of many vehicles in recent times, my observation is that most of the 8-10 years vehicles normally have between 120k-190++. Under this type of situation what are the possible implications of buying a vehicle probably a SUV that has the odometer reading falling under this category? I know auto gurus in the house are always there to help us the greenhorns in automobile anatomy, so please assist and analyse the implications so that i will use as a guide to make my choice.

@siena your usual indepth and informed contribution will be appreciated
Varies widely, depends on how many owners it has had, kind of maintenance history grin
A car used as a taxi cab with under 100,000 miles is worse off than another car owned by an older person used to commute long distances to work.Personally I never consider mileage in buying a vehicle, just if it has had proper maintenance schedules attended to and was at least not driven hard grin

Have the car checked out by a mechanic, the carfax is not going to tell you thing other than the vehicle's registration history and possible accidents. Most cars that old will have about 100k or more miles, if you really want something with less miles, they are out there but be expected to pay much more cool
FamilyRe: What Is The Real Definition Of A Man According To Your Experience? by kabukabu50(m): 12:40am On Nov 01, 2011
Well I already gave my opinion on men so I'll say this for real women.
1)Real women do not allow gender to hold them back in the pursuit of anything.
2)Real women earn respect from men not through their words but through their actions.
3)Real women know when they are being played and walk away.

Just a few that came to my mind. grin

And you are doing the opposite.

Abegi don't start another gender battle on NL.

A man is an Adult male .

A real man is an Experienced and Matured  Adult male.
Seems like your feathers got ruffled by my comment  grin, you just exposed yourself LMAO grin
FamilyRe: What Is The Real Definition Of A Man According To Your Experience? by kabukabu50(m): 6:51pm On Oct 31, 2011
A real man does not need to put down or berate women to inflate his ego, This goes to all your cowards on nairaland who do that for a living. cool
Yes,Im talking to you men on here.

Quit doing that  and maybe you might earn some woman's respect. But until then you are a limp wristed man-child if you put down women. wink

FashionRe: Should Nigerian Women Be Forced To Go To Gym. by kabukabu50(m): 1:35pm On Oct 29, 2011
vivika:
Pls let the men on this thread be quiet, in your parochial minds now, you all don't need to hit the gym!!!! You people are here saying you see fine women with bad bodies, i don't even see fine men not to talk about the ones with nice bodies, pls african men "remove the log from your eyes before you remove the speck from ours" FYI, i have a smoking hot body, never hit the gym once!
Well said,Its hypocritical of any guy to demand that women should meet physical standards, that he does not cool

Weight is a very sensitive issue for women more then men, cause it is harder for women than men to shed extra weight.Genetics also comes into play some people are disposed having fitter bodies than others without going to the gym.

It is possible to be fit without being a bag of bones, lets not fall head over heels for "Hollywood standards". cool
