My niece was extremely lucky not to be statistic. She and some of her friends, who were helping an elderly man push his broken down vehicle opposite the school, escaped by jumping into the gutter. She got home crying and shaking. Her mother has been singing worship songs since she got home

Chai!!!

Thank God Almighty your niece survived but my sincere condolences go to those that lost their children. It is really painful.

Ambode removed VIO from the roads but the powers that be in Lagos said Ambode was not a good party man. Imagine jettisoning a stellar candidate for mundane party issues. Mtchew!!!

I guess Kalu rigged the elections and bought court judgments too.

Nigerian politics is such a big sham!

Let’s hope INEC introduction of technology will help to make elections more transparent and reflective of the will of the people.

I'm telling you. Nigeria needs serious electoral reforms. We will make serious progress once votes start counting. Even Ikpeazu's elections most especially that of 2019 were heavily rigged. There was serious jubilation in Abia when we heard that Alex Otti the APGA candidate was leading and about to the declared winner. But this was scuttled by Olisa Metuh and Sen. Abaribe. They hijacked the returning officer and magic happened. This is even in the public domain.

Alex Otti won the case in the Court of Appeal but the Supreme Court ruled in Ikpeazu's favour. Okezie Ikpeazu was never the popular candidate in the election so his non performance is not a surprise to us.

Lol!

I just finished reading about the Abia State Elections in 2007 and one Onyema Ugochukwu was PDP candidate.

Do you think he would have been a better governor for Abia?

Onyema Ugochukwu might have been better. And we believe that PDP won that election. Ugochukwu was an aide to OBJ and he had astute international connections. It is surprising that PDP won two senatorial seats and lost the governorship elections even though they were held on the same day.

Many of us believe that the results declared were not a true reflection of what happened on that day.

TA Orji floored them only to become a buffoon himself and ensured an idiot succeeded him.

Who knows if Orji Uzor Kalu’s candidate in the 2007 elections would have been better for Abia.

TA Orji was Kalu's candidate in the 2007 elections. Kalu formed PPA and made TA Orji the flag bearer. TA didn't campaign for one day as he was in EFCC custody then. It was even rumoured that Kalu took TA Orji to Okija shrine for an oath of allegiance and pictures were displayed with TA holding wearing a white pant and holding a chicken.

Both men killed Abia.

Dear OP,all these people you mentioned are of Nigerian descent. I doubt if any of them grew up in Nigeria.

These people grew up in Nigeria and they took their music globally

1. Fela (Even University of Liverpool get Fela music for their curriculum)
2. Sinach (This woman won the song of the year in the GMA Dove awards. The Dove award is one of the biggest gospel award in the world. "Way Maker is still the biggest Nigerian gospel song to go international).
3. Wiz Kid
4. Davido

If rats and cockroaches can live comfortably in soak away then what’s stopping snakes from doing same undecided

Rats and cockroaches do not live inside the soak away. They can only hide in holes around the soak away. The heat inside the soak away is too much for snakes, rats or cockroaches to live inside. Mind you, the heat there is enough to cook and generate electricity.

I dey tell you. Ekuke is just underrated.
Pets / Re: Do Vets Perform Abortions On Dogs? by kachistone: 6:42pm On Nov 08, 2021
Hmmm.

OP there is no need for the abortion. I know you are angry but your dog can still give birth to beautiful puppies.
Besides, why do we hate our Nigerian Shepherd Dog (Ekuke). I used to have such sentiments until I discovered they are resistant to sicknesses that will kill the foreign breeds.

Believe me, the Nigerian Shepherd Dog is an underrated breed that has been abused by people. But the breed is damn intelligent. No need for potty training and other things.

I tell you, Ekuke is far intelligent than many foreign dog breeds.

I know the problem is because many Ekukes we see on the road are destitutes that have been despised by their owners. So that is the picture that most of us have about the breed.

By the way, the Fulani breed of the Nigerian Shepherd Dogs are bigger and can grow over 4feet.

How could you argue that Lampard was better than almighty Kaka

Everyone has his preference. To some people, JJ Okocha is the greatest player from Africa. Others might argue that Samuel Eto'o is while some postulate that Drogba or George Weah are fit for the title.

Don't forget the bible says "...thou shall not covet thy neighbor's wife..." Exo 20:17, Deu 5:21.

You can continue if you want to die young.

The choice is yours but I will advise you mind your wife and work on her. The grass is never green on the other side.

People hardly want to do any work these days. In those days we would’ve run to JAMB office to ask for a solution, before coming to a public forum for help. She’s about to lose her admission and this is the best she could do so far?

In the olden days, our fore fathers trekked long distances, used cutlasses and hoes for farming and used stones to make fires.

The OP is using a modern and efficient method to solve a challenge. Nairaland has helped many people solve problems in the past and this kind of problem is not an exemption.
