Politics › Re: How Voters Voted For Presidents By Region And State In Nigeria- Statisense by kachistone: 12:03pm On May 04, 2024 |
LegendHero: Stop saying what you don’t know. When SE field a Ibo candidate that is in the top 3 choice, they will always vote that candidate.
In 1979, SE voted Azikiwe overwhelmingly. Can you beat your chest and say Azikiwe was better than Awolowo?
Even in 1983, same pattern replayed itself.
Ojukwu is a weakling in politics. He couldn’t even win a senatorial election let alone a national election. All through your years of voting PDP since 1999, you’ve never had any strong Ibo that break into the top three until Obi.
Below is 1979, now repeat the statement “SE don’t vote tribalism” again. How is Awolowo better than Azikiwe? Both of them were cerebral and Nigeria would have been better if any of them were the Executive President instead of Shagari in 1979. So the S/E voting for him wasn't a case of tribalism but a support for competence. Besides, you said Ojukwu was a weakling in politics because he lost a senatorial election? He lost because his party NPN wasn't grounded in the East like the NPP. Besides, Ojukwu said his intention was to align the South East with the NPN which was the ruling party. Don't forget that was the party that made Shagari and Ekwueme President and VP respectively. Ojukwu wasn't a neophyte in Eastern politics. He and Azikiwe never agreed politically even though they were brothers. Many things sup for that 1979 elections my chief. |

Stephen0mozzy: I've seen and heard of rich fools, But I've never heard of or seen a wise man who is broke (except by choice due to his philosophy) The Bible in Ecclesiastes 9:15-16 talks about a broke and wise man that saved his city from destruction. One can be wise and broke. There are several examples around. At the same time, one can be rich and extremely foolish. Nabal the husband of Abigail in 1st Sam 25:25 was a rich fool and he died young. Also the rich fool in Luke 12 died young too. It is better to get the two but a rich man without wisdom can surround himself with wise men. He only needs to have a gentle spirit and avoid brash talk. The wisdom of a poor man is despised. Nobody will look at his side and he will easily be forgotten. But people will manage the rich fool and tolerate his excesses. |

Emu4life: This Court case is as useless as the 'p' in Psychology. Attend Christian Universities if you want to 'worship'. That's what Christian Universities are doing to Muslims in the South. Two can play the game. Christian universities are different from a state institution. The problem here is the Universities are Federal and state institutions. You can't compare a faith based private institution to a government establishment. They are not the same thing. Regards. |

I do not understand it but if you mean copying others, then you should know that almost all car manufacturers are guilty of it. There will always be similarities in design. That is what innovation is all about. You should know that innovation is different from invention. You can improve on what others have done and develop it to suit your market. |

Areacleo: not disputing you first points
But Innoson and nords are not local manufacturers, it's not different from Lanre Shittu JAC only difference is just the the name badge.. If Lanre Shittu Mottors slams LSM on the JAC badges would we say it's manufactured locally? No..
TO manufacture you have to design.. Apple design it's phones and outsource the assembly to other companies..
Innoson and Nord are only assembling foreign cars in Nigeria Innoson designs the cars that are produced at the factory at Nnewi. I once watched a documentary on Channels TV Discovery. The programme was done by a half-caste Nigerian male. But I can't remember his name. Innoson is involved in design and fabrication of their cars. |

SultanOfPuna: Assembling parts of a car Does not mean you produced it
The real producers are Chinese Innoson is just there to assemble Chinese Car parts and call It a car. Same thing with Nord
It's like buying a puzzle and fixing the puzzle That doesn't mean you produced the puzzle You just bought it and fixed it. Simple There is no car brand in the world that manufactures the parts and components 100%. You can google it. Engines, body parts, radio, seats, wipers, seat belts etc are produced by companies. Sometimes, these components are produced by companies in other countries and imported by the supposed car manufacturer. Innoson and Nord are local car manufacturers. They even fabricate at their factories. |

Unbiased1: What of the fake NYSC case? Looking at the tribunal judgement, it is clear that the people advising Labour Party candidates are doing a very bad job. How can you be taking matters to court without any valid evidence? These guys just used "hearsay" as an evidence that the election was rigged. I'm so disappointed in this party. NYSC testified that the certificate Mbah presented is fake. The tribunal only ruled that it doesn't matter since the NYSC discharge certificate is not a requirement to contest for election. The tribunal wasn't interested in it being fake or not. But it is a crazy judgement in my opinion because the Constitution prohibits one from using forged documents for elections. The tribunal has goofed. |

Viraltrends123: Wike needs Lagos in future, he will be president one day. He is thinking through the future.
Tinubu will be the next president, especially now that Buhari and Sanusi are supporting him, plus the power of incumbency.
Atiku might not be able to try again next time, because trying to do so, PDP will boil, it would be Wike's turn.
Obi doesn't stand a chance, all the noise should have started several years earlier, and he shouldn't have even stepped legs into PDP, but PDP made him popular though. Obi too will loose, and it would be hard to come out to say he want to be president after Tinubu, because by then he would be close to 70, it would be a hot and funny situation.
I will vote Tinubu, they are all almost thesame, but we want someone that is proud of his state, built airport in his state, obi and atiku couldn't build an airport, by now ADAMAWA and Anambra should also be having high IGR. A leader should do things for the future, not just leave money in the bank untouched, then why were you voted for. You didn't even grow IGR of your state by ordinary 1bn in 8 years When did Tinubu build an airport in his state? |

Villa12: I'm actually not a Yoruba but I've lived in Yoruba land, Lagos precisely for long
Any Yoruba, Hausa or fulani man and woman campaigning for Obi should have a rethink and retrace their step back. Though this isn't supposed to be so but you see those IGBOS have turned this election to tribalistic one. They have even turn it to religious one
I will support and vote for Tinubu. He has more achievements, antecedents and legacies to point at as a governor and when he left government than EVERY other contestants
Tinubu is very much accommodating and tolerance than other contestants. IGBOS are taking political position in Lagos. IGBOS are civil servants in Lagos and other South western states. IGBOS are doing businesses freely in Lagos and other south western region
Please go to any eastern state to see if you'd see any Yoruba or Hausa man as ordinary councillor. It is a TABOO to the Igbo
To them their igbo president in form of Obi is the best after bread and butter while others are nothing to write home about. Support Tinubu or Atiku and watch them curse, bash or threaten you. They accused you of being paid for supporting Tinubu or Atiku while them are doing it freely. They always insult the Fulani and Hausas and call them all sorts of names. They even call them cow, almajiri etc. They insult the Yorubas calling them fulani slaves. They condemned Nigeria as a country. Claiming Nigeria is a ZOO
ACHIEVEMENT- I WILL VOTE TINUBU TOLERANCE & ACCOMMODATING- I WILL VOTE TINUBU
For the northerners who reside in the north you can ask any of your family or friends living in Lagos and other South western states they will tell you how Yoruba are so friendly, loving and accommodating. Go to the state headquarter at Alausa ikeja you'll see igbos holding top position without any discrimination
Go to east and see how all positions are occupied completely by all igbos.
An average IGBOS are resentful, spiteful, hateful, bittered et al. They literally see themselves better, superior and more sophisticated than other tribes.
PLEASE verify this my claim if you aren't aware of it and make a decision on who to campaign and vote for
I leave you to your conscience You are even the one turning it to a tribal thing. Do you think Igbos will support Ikpeazu, Orji Uzor Kalu or Rochas Okorocha if any of them were on the ballot? Obi still remains the brightest of the three major contenders in this presidential election. He doesn't have any known sicknesses like BAT and Atiku. Also, he has always proffered his ideologies so that people can see the plans he has. Unlike BAT and Atiku that are hiding from the media and the public. Obi is better and it isn't about tribal or primordial sentiments. |

My opinion:
I was just laughing because it seems they don't trust their members again for instance me a member of more than five years and listen to the pastor almost every week. Long term gain: His brand and profile will increase astronomically nationwide such that he will automatically become the number one candidate when the presidency swings north.
As for now he cant win by himself. His popularity no pass north and that will not be enough.
Therefore in my opinion both long term and short term the vice presidency thing favours him You sabi book. Truth be told, Obi and Kwankwaso combo go make sense Wella. |

ValCon888: Most likely carbon monoxide poisoning. They couldn't fûck with the windows open. So the man shut all the windows and switched on the AC.
And that was the beginning of the end.
Edit: Let me break it down for those who don't understand.
The SUV's engine produces a lot of toxic gases which flows through the vehicle's exhaust system.
The most common way of carbon monoxide poisoning is when the car’s AC is on and it is parked in a garage or a space with limited airflow.
The SUV’s AC intake pulls in the air which now mixes with the exhaust gases.
The carbon monoxide is odourless, so it goes undetected and slowly kills the occupants of the car. I doubt this your logic o. If it were true, many people that drive with AC and glasses wind up would be dead by now. |
