They want to use Ogun as a dumping ground for batteries ?

Does the governor and people know the meaning of recycling ?

He apparently doesn't. The germans have been trying help Ogun deal with its e wastes.... I remember they even held a training for the lead acid battery recycling businesses in ogun earlier in the year..but here is UK wanting to mess them up again but because there's a 5M USD on ground....Dapo Abiodun wants to form capitalist.

Do your due diligence well before accepting investments

They wont. Nigerian politicians will do anything for money....whether the citizens die or get poisoned is immaterial to many of them. Bandits are killing zamfara indigenes in droves but matawalle doesn't give a hoot.... the current governor after him said matawalle stole over 70Bn ....despite the abject poverty ravaging the people there

With all the investments in OGUN state....yet they have worst road in the country after kogi state.

Its one of the things that will baffle you...but it will also interest you to know that many of these roads are channels through which some persons probably get allocations from FG for maintenance yearly....Na naija

its not even how much FG is getting completely...its what have they done with what they have already gotten...and what are they going to do with this one they want to get.... more presidential jets and yachts?...more mansions for the vp?....cos even fuel subsidy that used to be the only benefit of the citizens from them....they have stopped paying....yhey have stopped paying.

This is why evil thrives in the country.....I will not be surprised if lagos state governments have issued many cctv procurement contracts to shell companies who end up not installing any cxtv simply because the money gets diverted. If the lcda had cctv in their community..the perpetrators would have been easier to catch

Family / Re: I'm Finally Going To Abuja In Few Days Time! Is There Any.... by kafeii123: 8:12am On Aug 30
HanisahZuwy:
Sometime last month, I made a thread seeking for the opinions/suggestions of people about going to Abuja to hustle as a female, especially from people with experience or people who have stayed there and still staying there. So, majority of the people advised/suggested that I should. And some even gave me some pieces of advice and also about what might be of help when I eventually go there.

See the threads below:
https://www.nairaland.com/8001556/im-female-want-go-hustle

https://www.nairaland.com/8015089/im-female-ive-decided-go

Now, I've decided to go and try things out to see how things go. I'll be going in few days from now.

Please, I would appreciate your support and assistance in any way. I'll be getting some things that I would be needing there from here. And there also other things I would need to sort out, especially when I get there. The cost of transportation alone is something else. So, I would be needing all the support I can get.

I don't know if anyone would be going to Abuja in few days time, maybe I can join you if you wouldn't mind.

And please, Abuja people, I would be needing your help concerning what I can do that will fetch me some money when I finally arrive Abuja. Like things I can do there that will fetch me money. I really want to hustle. I don't want to depend on anyone because I don't have any body to depend on or help me. That's why I want to hustle on my own and be able to provide for myself and afford whatever it is I need, without having to wait for anybody or ask anybody. I have no one, no one to do it/them for me, that's why I want to do it myself and also help myself.

Thanks all. I anticipate your positive responses.

Thank you!

May you find success.....btw find you go to a tertiary institution, which one please and what dud you study?

Foreign Affairs / Re: Israeli Soldiers 'Gang Rape' Palestinian Male Detainee In Sde Teiman Prison by kafeii123: 4:18pm On Jul 30
Evil is not to be supported in any manner but palestinians also raped the people they kidnapped from israel on October 7th didn't they..... They can do more to complain on how israel's actions are making life unbearable for their people...without trying to make israel army look terrible....as if they are clean themselves...at least we have not seen palestinian civilians being dragged on the streets naked and humiliated in israel...

But they both surely need to come to an agreement somehow and maintain peace....before they club each other to annihilation.

akuto:
If not for selfishness of some people in authority, going cashless will minimize these issues. I remember when we had currency change and limited physical cash, these kidnappings stopped. We may need to redesign currency again put a timeline for swap with limit and do more with digital channels. Kidnappings thrive where physicall cash is readily available

Exactly what I was about to type.... Emefiele only did not do the thing correctly then...but we need to change our currency.... and limit how much cash is given to anybody...then make sure those who come to make deposits above a certain limit declare the source of their funds.... That will out an end to this nonesense..

Also, the people in southern villages must begin to take their security into their own hands and make it legal for people to own guns.. especially in rural communities... Fulani herdsmen should also be forced to go into ranching...any Fulani that refuses ranching is a kidnapper and should be treated as such.

WizardOfNG:

You cannot settle blackmailers who want what you cannot give. Tinubu has made literally thousands of under the table concessions to the North.

For example, do you see anyone hounding the inner crew of Buhari like Malami etal we know became immensely rich in the last regime?

All Tinubu is doing is insisting that he has the right to lead Nigeria independently as Buhari was allowed to do for 8 years courtesy of the honourable behaviour of many SW politicians who helped Buhari gain power and graciously remained patient with him to do right by all Nigerians.

No sexism, but I think some of your talk is because you are a woman and cannot understand that the gladiator component in most men compels them, when they have done all to appease others and keep peace, to stand their ground against unreasonable people who cannot be appeased unless they get what they want which may be detrimental to the interest of 230 million Nigerians.

How many Northerners can you point to, that you claim helped Tinubu win elections, Jagaban has ignored today?

Has Tinubu disgraced Ribadu, Ganduje, Matawalle, Bagudu etal ? Stop taking the bait of the anti-Yoruba press who are making issues about El Rufai alone .

Someone has to stand up against the born-to-rule proponents in the North who will never be happy, whatever a Southern President does, unless they gain power to make all of us live how Northerners are happy to live economically which is simply not feasible today or moving ahead.

This is exactly the point...El Rufai needs to be rubbished completely ...else Tinubu kept the utmost quiet while Buhari pillaged and mismanaged the economy.....it's the results of that mismanagement that's causing this present government the utmost embarrassment currently....may God grant VAT and others currently ruling to be able to hold fast and do what's right for the country

They have been ignored enough.... when the leadership of Nigeria goes back north....I really pray that indigenous Hausa or kanuri person gets it....not these foreigners who end up misbehaving to our faces.....I even wish that Ek Rufai 's sons' candidacies be withdrawn on the basis of one useless technicality or the other....I know Kaduna people will never give the Rufais the sort of platform they have enjoyed so far again. The current governor of Kaduna state was being praised online few days ago because he has been conducting an inclusive government ...completely different from his predecessor...who ostracized southern Kaduna and looked away while bandits and terrorist rampaged the zone.... Shettima even comended the guy...so I was expecting the attacks to be renewed....we all know the people who went to bring herdsmen into the zone prior to 2015 elections ....hoping to create enough violence and bloodshed to create a state of emergency that will force GEJ to hand over.... I am sure no one will be surprised at this renewed attacks... na dem dey there...

To think that the immediate governor of Kaduna state isn't even a kaduna man but only came from zamfara to live with his then Uncle who lived in Kaduna and should thus be grateful for the benevolence he received from the real indigenes ...one would expect him and his kids who even became reps of same state to be grateful and work to make the state shine....not as if he did not try ...but stuff like these will rubbish his heritage as well as that of may others there.
