I plan to be in the US on ( date) so I can attend my orientation week before my resumption date.

Can I use my hnd of 2.5 GPA and enter in any USA university .. can the admission be considered if I didn't reach there cutoff mark

give it a try. If denied your admission, you can apply for special admission. that's if you have some extenuating circumstance that made you had poor performance in School. Tell them and be hopeful. Prayer is the key

I applied for Lagos surge date and I got approved. I am trying to get into my visa appointment page all to no avail, it seems I can’t use the MRV receipt number to get in there. Do I just print the email that says that I have been scheduled for December 1st or do I still need the confirmation page which i can’t access right now. Thank you

please did you write anything along side the documents submitted or did you just attach the documents and gave a Subject title?

I applied for surge (Abuja) last night, got the auto response but this afternoon, I received a mail about how a certain document shouldn't be sent due to the volume of mails they receive. I responded the mail wasn't for me and I am a student seeking new date to accommodate my travel plans. I was then redirected to apply for EA which I did this afternoon and got a positive response in the evening.
If you experienced same, you can try the way I did.

when applying for surge are we to just upload the documents or is there any format we have to write alongside our documents?

To apply for Surge send all your scanned off copy of your documents to LagosStudents@state.gov

Do we need to write anything else on in the email or only to upload scanned documents?

The person I’m helping out initially applied for EA before sending email for the surge dates in Lagos. The surge date was approved yesterday and she’s scheduled to appear 1st of December. But today she got an email saying her Emergency appointment has been denied though she uploaded all required documentations.
Personally, I am guessing there might be a conflict between EA application and sending email for surge the procdate. Or maybe it’s a systems glitch from the pembassy.


My question: have u applied to both surge date and EA.

no I have not applied for surge date. I just got info about surge date. Please guide me on the process. Thanks in advance

yes I did. I was given june 2022. And my program starts january.

I got a denial and I also realized that my payment was no more active. Can you pls check if your visa receipt reference number is still valid.

I just received mine today with a denial. My portal still shows that i can request for an emmergency appointment.

Personal funding is not a red flag. You might not even be asked to present your SOA considering your deficit is less than $5000. Just be sure you have exactly the equivalent in naira of that deficit (use embassy dollar rate to calculate). More is fine as well. Nothing less than the deficit though.

What must I do now?

My dashboards still show apply for emmergency date.
Can i still apply for an emmergency interview?
