I want to share this info with you. I get this question a lot from many pg applicants. ================== What is the difference between professional & Msc, which is better? ================== lemme clear the air once and for all. both are great depending on your career direction. Hot Tips to know: 1. Professional courses are great if you want to make money fast - easy to gain employment with these type of certificates 2. Professional courses are great if your path is industry base and field work 3. Professional courses are designed for managers and leaders of men and materials 4. You cant use your professional course for PHD, you must do MSC for that 5. You cant use your professional course for lecturing, you must do MSC for that 6. It good to have One professional course on your resume, more relevant and respected by companies 7. More expensive than regular Msc 8. Mostly Part time 9. Professional courses are great if you are working on your business. 10. Msc is 100% research and academic work. Great for eficos and would be lecturers/researchers/New Discoveries |
babyfaceafrica:For both they dont. |

mim10:Hi Mim10. Thanks for stopping by. Yo are qualified for MBA FT. you will need experience for PT, so dont go there. The fees is N150k for now. its a 3 semester prog. You can get in touch with me for the PQ at my blog below: http://careerplusonline.net/unilagpostgraduatepastquestionsanswers All the best. |
1. Eligibility for the proposed course of study Here Unilag Pg does not allow you to do some courses with your Bsc. If you have HND you are very very limited to MBA and 2 other courses. you need to find out if your course is eligible, so you dont get disqualified as I know a lot of people who scored above the cut-off point in last exams but were disqualified. E,g Bsc Accounting is only restricted to read Msc Finance, Accounting or Development Finance. But there are other combos you could do if only you have the right info. For example Combos for Economics graduate are listed below. if you dont have this info you might never know you could do these courses as an Economics graduate. having proper info to these things is very important. Bsc Economics hot combo plus MBA plus IRPM plus Finance plus Dev Finance plus Risk Mgt plus MPIA plus MILR plus Accounting plus MDSS plus Pgd Computer Science plus Msc Economics plus Insurance plus Actuarial Science plus Operations Research plus Operations and Production Mgt plus Organizational Behaviour plus Management plus MMP plus Sociology plus PGDE plus Marketing plus MILD plus MELS Let me know if you have any problem in choosing a course or combining your course with your experience. |
Dazzle86:sorry its there on my blog. to answer you directly 1. Yes Msc Computer is available 2. form cost N22,500 and fees is N90k 3. Yes there is provision for Pg hotels and its N58k 4. Duration of Msc Computer is 2 semesters ie 12 months. Hope it helps |
Israelaremo:fees for the prog is 75k FT and 150k PT with original you dont need transcript |
Gideonmi:yes you are qualified for FT. for part time you need 3 years. though from your post above, when did you finished your programme? |
mitsaro:download admission list and payment advise. I cover more below http://www.unilaggoogle.com/2016/01/20152016-unilag-postgraduate-admission.html |
Primate2:You will be ask to pay some interest though small. that means you will chose to pay your fees by semester albeit divided into half or one-quarter. about non-reversible, its not true, try it if you are not comfortable cancel it. the drawback it that you will pay interest, so you will pay more eventually. my advise, dont take that route. registration will still be on till March. go hustle. |
jashar:congrats. go download your admission letter and payment advise, |
congrats guys. more names coming |
dollarathe:so many. first what are you looking at? what career directions do you have in mind. choice of course at this level cant be arbitrary it must be purposeful and strategic. so tell me more you can call me and lets discuss. hope its helps |
missmalachi:In Unilag you are not eligible to do Msc Management with Bsc Accounting, so your option which to me its better is Msc Finance. The form is likely to be out MAY/JUNE 2016. No you dont need transcript for that. Thanks |
Seyibusayo:Hi Seyibusayo, Transcript is necessary if you dont have the original certificate from your school, but if you do have that, then no need for transcript. hope its clear now. |
I will be helping you decide which course to apply for considering your training, background, experience and Bsc degrees. But before then there are many things you need to decide on. The top 3 are these; 1. Eligibility for the proposed course of study 2. The Fees associated with each programme 3. The Format and structure of the exams I will cover each on this thread, to help you prepare and make informed decisions. Compliment of the season. |
