Hello guys what happened to the BIG DANFlour its seems the man is robbing peter to pay paul. I dey laff O. I warned a friend concerning the dangotes TWINS of sugar and flour. I said the 3qrt results were showing signs of heavy lifting and borrowing. he didnt hear the voice of reasoning- now he's licking his wound. Dangote and his friends owns a substantial amount(over 85%) of the shares of both Sugar and Flour. They knew the audited reports were bad some 2-3 months ago, they started pushing the stock prices from around N4 to N10.5k that is over 150% profit, when satisfied with their loot, they decided to released the results meanwhile they have off-loaded. Now when the price crash again, they will buy back their shares at penny prices. what a way to make money. Guys sharp up and open your eyes before you buy stocks. DO YOUR HW! see the poor results attached. Look at the cashflow report and the liabilities- very dismal outing. I noticed unlike Dangote, no corporate action is announced. Y? BECOS BROS DON SETTLE BIG BOYS. ![]() He's using the money to build refinery. ![]() I dey laff O. http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/3139_DANGOTE_FLOUR_MILLS_AUDITED_2012_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_MAY_2013.pdf |

lancee: Well lets hope so , think it gained today@Lancee, I will say its risky to follow stocks by 'it gained' or 'it lost' strategy. You must know 'why' you are buying or selling. if you dont know then look at the fundamentals, very very vital point and I hope you note it please. Redoil: this is a signal to load may be they are waiting for something.@Redoil, Well-spoken. I think you killed it here. A lesson i learnt some few years back, is whenever you see a 'good' stock hovering around a particular price junction like losing and gaining +-5k for a particular time. it tells you something is brewing. The owners of those stock are refusing to sell, while many people are trying to buy. They may go down at the close of the day becos of DAY-TRADERS, and good stockbrokers quickly mop them up. If you do your analysis well you find that Stocks like Firstbank, Access, Presco, UBA are in this stage now. I can say these are good buy for now. happy democracy day to ya'll |
I knew Costain rally is fishy. Proshareng.com has confirm my earlier position. Take a look: http://proshareng.com/news/20074/COSTAIN-Plc-rallies-5825-gain-in-a-week--A-dead-cat-bounce lancee: Please let us know whats wrong with FIRST BANK .. to me i think there is nothing wrongNothing is wrong with Firstbank, in fact the more you can amass pls do. Judging from its first quarter result, the elephant may pay an interim dividend after second quarter, to appease investors who were not too happy with the last div payout. with the elephant anything is possible. On price movement expect between N2-N3 eps within 2 months |
sellydion: If you are interested in making quick gains, consider ZENITH NOW the coast is clear.I agree with you sellydion. The coast is very clear. Infact one could make N2-N4 in the next 2 weeks from Zenith. Just Imagine buying a portfolio of 500,000 unit. @N2 gain is N1m. That is what Big players do week in week out. Chop and clean mouth and wait again. To quote sellydion--The coast is very very clear Take action if you can. |
okpekete: @stockbullHere are 20 stocks which I have been following for some months now. I have seen some of them do very well and others average YTD. I've personally taken position and made 'cool cash' from some and am still acquiring. I have helped friends to make some 'killing' from some of these. Just wanted to share as I see lots of people dont know how to do market/trend analysis. Here are the reasons they are picked. 1. good fundamentals 2. good PE ratio 3. innovative leadership 4. good volume and deals ratio 5. Good institutional investment/holdings 6. Strategic business model My 20 Watch-list LIVESTOCK MANSARD NAHCO NASCON FIDSON FBNH DANGSUGAR CCNN UBCAP HONYFLOUR STANBIC ZENITHBANK ACCESS UBA FIDELITYBK GUARANTY CAP OKOMUOIL PRESCO JBERGER To narrow it for those who can't make up their mind: My Top 7 are: UBA LIVESTOCK UBCAP ZENITHBANK OKOMUOIL CCNN PRESCO You should have a list of stocks YOU KEEP IN YOUR RADAR. At least 10. I advise follow a stock for minimum of 10 days, if longer better, before you commit your money. The market don't lie, it will surely tell you what is happening, except you are not listening. However, as companies do say, T&C applies. ![]() Please if you have any insider news concerning any of these, tell us, so we can either strengthen our position or offload. ![]() Happy investing. |
Aseye: guys, anyone know anything about Costain Stocks presently, is it a good stock to go in and purchase right now? thanksIts really funny and easy to see. Lets use Costain as a case study to learn how to look at stocks. I did a 10-day deal/vol anaysis on costain and found the following out. Nos of SHd---920,573,765 COSTAIN Price Deals Vol Dates 1.24 159 33,256,030 may 22 1.13 180 49,854,350 May 21 1.03 39 9,429,190 May 20 0.94 14 2,028,073 May 17 0.86 34 16,198,360 May 16 0.79 60 17,079,710 may 15 0.72 43 943,213 May 14 0.72 33 1,988,926 May 13 0.79 39 1,778,200 May 10 A closer observation shows 1.Two factors: -low trading patterns -low volume--a bad sign The stock fundamental is poor from last result. Hence some interest is pushing from May 14. Either the interest has insider information we dont have or they want to distribute.(make money and sell-off to stocks laggers) See May 21, there is now alot of buyers looking for this stock and sellers are still not selling, so making the stock price rally. But there is no justification for the rally, only if you want to make money for say 3 days. I don't advise to enter this stock now. Just wait and follow. if it cross the N2 mark with high volume/deals or good news, then that is a good time to enter. Hope this helps |
ileman: @Kalan pls hw do i analyse using volume to deal ratio.Apart from News, the market respond to the forces of supply and demand. Volume and Deals tells us these forces. Volume tells you what Sellers are doing. Deals tells you what Buyers are doing. When deals are more than Volume, the bid cap is raised causing high demand and prices goes up. if this continues it causes a bullish rally on that stock. But watch it when volumes are down and deals are down even if prices are up. It shows off-loading, that price will soon come crashing. There are many relationships between them, which for space and time I can't show now. However, these strategies is what Major players use to kill it in forex and stocks day-Trading. But overall, make sure you research a company for say 5-7 days, following the volumes, deals and price movement before taking a position. There is a way you trade News on stocks. The strategy is FOLLOW THE LEADER. I will post more on that next time. Conclusively, nothing comes by luck, you NEED to know what you're doing, or the market will sting you like a bee. All the best in your investing. |
Its just better to look at fundamentals of these companies. I see a lot of low deals and volume distribution going on.This is a red flag. I advise caution. Always look at deals and volume, it tells you where the market is headed... If you have made 30-100% price increase, pls take your profit and re-enter or move on. Example, I bought Nascon N8.60 and the sold at N13.10. i saw that the forces moving it up is strong, after analyzing the volume deals for 5 days, then I re-enter around N11, now its on its way again. I can decide to get the bonus and make a big killing. but all these is seen from the volume and deal relationship. Dont invest by what others tell you, do your research... Another thing I found out is that most of those we called stock-broker are actually marketers working for stock-broking firms. Be wise. All the best in your investing. |

Here is a total overview of Unilag change of course for those who need to change their course from one department to another for admission purposes Why you may Need to change Your Career Course There are various reasons why you may need to change your course, some are listed here: 1. you don't meet up to your present course cut-off marks 2. when you feel your chances of getting admission is low Why you may NOT Need to Your Career Course 1. If your reason is because you scored higher for the course you choice and need to upgrade- eg you chose IRPM and scored 86 and the cut off mark for Accounting is 79, you feel since you actually prefer Accounting you should change, this not a valid reason and it is not allowed. 2. you cant change from a lower course to a higher course 3. You can't switch from one faculty to another, except its has education related courses The Advantages are: Read more details below: UNILAG cut-off marks 2012 and change of course forms |

Many candidates are very worried, fear, anxiety and frustration is all they see. Very are smiling and the reason why is not far-fetch. You need to know about merit list, supplementary list and catchment areas to fancy your admission chances. These things are very important so that you dont kill yourself of tension. after I wrote about what to do if you score below 50 in the post ume exams, many students have been calling and writing in to ask for merit list and supplementary list. Below is my explaination. MERIT LIST ADMISSION Merit list is for those who meet the cut off marks. They deserved the admission on merit. The university will fix a cut off mark following the general performance of candiddates in a perticular examination. They use a marginal curve for this and make sure for each department at least they have 20-30 people who fall inside that curve. Example: Now assuming cut-off is 60, and you score 60 and above you will get in on MERIT. If you scored 59.98 you will not still get in on MERIT, although you may get the admission. Those that got in here are not better than others, just first fruits. CATCHMENT AREAS After merit list they will then fix the cut-off mark for catchment areas. this knowledge is very important when you are filling your JAMB form. Ekiti, Ondo, Ogun, Oyo, Lagos, Osun have catchment with UNILAG-that means they have consideration for admission because the school is located in this region, every school have their catchment area. So If you are from Osun for example and you scored 57 you may get into UNILAG on merit even when the cut-off is 60. do you understand? SUPPLEMENTARY LIST Supplementary is everyone who has a godfather, moneybags, connections. Here you did not meet the MERIT list this is your time to shine-lolzz read more below merit list and supplementary list |
From my observation and closeness to UNILAG admission process, I have observed that there is hardly any one who scored 70 and above in this year post ume exams, if it exist they are very few, in fact we can count them. The general score is between 40-69. please post names of those who scored above 70 below. Here is my assessment and advise to everyone. If you score 60 and above. for competive courses, like accounting, Bus admin, medine, elect/elect/ chem Engineering Mass comm. law, compuer science, Economics, IRPM, and the likes if you score above 65 you should rest assure you are IN. If you scored between 60-64 for this coursed your chances are very very bright. like 85%. But you need to make sure so that you dont lose it, by ensuring someone helps you to press it home. we can help you in this regards. If you chose cousres that are not too competitive, especially all educational courses, you are Home and dry-you are IN. If you scored 50-59 There are courses you will still be able to get in for this marks. But let say if you are not got in because the cut off is high, then you have to make do with with lower courses - find out the course you can likely do and chose collect the change of course form for this. Read the rest of the Cut below. Unilag post utme result-scored below 50 |
Generally it seems the score are very low. Do we have any one who scored above 70. All i see and hear of is 50-65. For those who need the cut-off marks for last year to compare with this year, you can download it below and use the comparison http://careerplusonline.net/go/Unliag-20112012-cut-off-marks-Revealed/ All the best. |
