PoliticsRe: Breaking: Trump Mentions Next Country To Attack After Iran by kaltonga: 7:38am On Mar 08
Gjrich:
United States President Donald Trump has spoken about the possibility of the United States directing its next military action toward Cuba after the ongoing conflict involving Iran.

Naija News reports that Trump made the remark on Thursday at the White House while receiving players and officials of Inter Miami CF, winners of the 2025 Major League Soccer title.

During the event, the US leader spoke about the ongoing military operations involving the United States and its ally Israel against Iran.

He explained that the current focus of his administration remains on the situation in Iran.

While addressing the gathering, which included many people with Cuban roots, Trump spoke about developments surrounding Cuba and suggested that attention could later shift to the island nation once the conflict with Iran is settled.

“What’s happening with Cuba is amazing. We think that we want to fix, finish this one first, but that will be just a question of time before you and a lot of unbelievable people are going to be going back to Cuba, hopefully not to stay,” he said.

His comments suggested that Washington might consider dealing with issues concerning Cuba after completing its present military campaign connected to the crisis in Iran.

The statement comes as tensions in the Middle East continue to rise.

The United States and Israel have been involved in military actions linked to Iran, with the conflict entering another week and drawing global attention.

Trump also told those present at the event that American and Israeli forces were still carrying out their operations as the situation unfolds.
After Cuba na the moi moi case of Nigeria be next.

220 US forces killed or wounded in Iranian retaliatory strikes in past 24 hours

Saturday, 07 March 2026

An Iranian Army spokesman says 220 American soldiers and commanders have been killed or wounded and significant damage has been inflicted on American assets in the region in retaliatory attacks by the Iranian Armed Forces over the past 24 hours.

The spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Zolfaghari, said on Saturday that 21 American service members were killed and a number of others injured during Iranian attacks on the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.

He added that some 200 American personnel were also killed and wounded during strikes against the US military base in Al Dhafra Air Base.

The Armed Forces also targeted an oil tanker owned by the United States in the northern part of the Persian Gulf, he noted.

US confirms Iran destroyed $300m radar system in Jordan
The US confirmed that Iran has destroyed a key $300 million radar system used by US THAAD missile defense systems at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.
The US and Israel waged a fresh round of unlawful military aggression on Iran on February 28, some eight months after they carried out unprovoked attacks on the country and its nuclear facilities.

The attacks led to the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and hundreds of Iranian civilians, including women and children, as well as military commanders.

Iran began to swiftly retaliate against the strikes by launching barrages of missile and drone attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories as well as on US bases in regional countries.

Iranian officials have said that only US and Israeli assets and interests are being targeted and that the Islamic Republic has no enmity toward the host countries and respects their sovereignty.

Imagine a country of million sterling professors, ruled my a master strategists and supported by word-class propagandists, yet outwitted by a common a screwdriver seller. What a paradox? What a shame? How can the Almighty US choose to bypass the master strategists and his gang of intelligent men and listen to a screwdriver seller, what a country?
In all of these shameful narratives, you ignored the warnings, you ignored the killings, you ignored the burials and the shallow graves. Even in attempt to respond to the public outcry, you declared bad roads stopped you from getting to Yelwata where over 200 Nigerians were slain.
How will this narrative of the screwdriver sit with the the Benue, Jos, Plateau, Ondo, Southern Kaduna, Sokoto, Kastina and other Nigerian people still mourning their dead? Is it a story of pity or mockery or distortion of facts by the team of the propagandists working for the master strategist?
This narrative has come with heartlessness, cruelty and indifference of the highest order in the peak of mourning. I hope Nigerians will remember the names of the writers.
Nigerians have really exposed their level of poor thinking..so because it's coming from a screwdriver seller who obviously is human enough to take his time to do what proffersirs are too lazy or too afraid to go.

ogododo:
A source with family members among the victims told SaharaReporters that the assailants stormed the churches, forcibly taking congregants.

In a daring attack on Sunday, a gang of bandits struck multiple churches in the Kurmin Wali area of Kajuru Local Government, Kaduna State, abducting over 100 worshippers during ongoing services.

A source with family members among the victims told SaharaReporters that the assailants stormed the churches, forcibly taking congregants.

Reports indicate that around ten people considered vulnerable were released by the attackers.

Authorities and security agencies in the area have been notified, and further details are expected as the situation unfolds.

Kaduna has faced repeated cases of deadly attacks by bandits.

For instance, on January 3, SaharaReporters reported that bandits had killed four members of a family during a deadly overnight attack in Kachia town, Southern Kaduna.

Multiple sources told SaharaReporters that the attack occurred near the newly established Federal University of Applied Science, the headquarters of Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

A member of the affected family confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters, identifying the victims as Mr. Bitrus Bahago, his wife, Mrs. Justina Bitrus Bahago, their son, Ibrahim Bitrus Bahago, and another relative, Adam Waziri.

“They are all four killed by the bandits,” the family source said.

According to the source, the attackers arrived in large numbers and opened fire on residents, leaving several others injured.

However, the injured victims were rushed to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.

Residents of Kachia described the attack as terrifying, noting that the community had suffered repeated assaults by armed groups despite its proximity to major institutions and security formations.

PoliticsRe: It’s Wrong To Compare Wizkid To Fela - Seun Kuti Fires Back At Fans by kaltonga: 4:39pm On Jan 11
alphonsojidebab:
Seun Kuti, Afrobeat musician and son of the late legendary icon Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has criticised repeated comparisons between Afrobeats star Wizkid and his father, describing such claims as disrespectful and misleading. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Speaking during a recent Instagram Live session, Seun cautioned members of Wizkid’s fanbase, popularly known as Wizkid FC, against referring to the Grammy-winning singer as a modern-day Fela. According to him, equating any contemporary artiste with the Afrobeat pioneer undermines the originality, impact, and historical significance of Fela’s legacy.

Seun argued that his father’s influence went far beyond music, stressing that Fela’s art was deeply rooted in activism, resistance, and social consciousness—qualities he believes cannot be casually replicated or transferred to another artist.

He expressed frustration over what he described as persistent online disrespect toward Fela, questioning why his father’s name is often dragged into debates involving modern Afrobeats stars. Seun said such comparisons stem from ignorance rather than genuine appreciation of Fela’s contributions to African music and global political discourse.

The Afrobeat singer also blamed extreme fan rivalries for negatively affecting the Nigerian music industry, noting that unnecessary comparisons and online hostility have made collaborations between artistes increasingly difficult.

According to Seun, fans should focus on appreciating their favourite artistes for who they are, rather than attempting to elevate them by placing them alongside cultural icons of a different era and purpose.

He urged Wizkid’s supporters to celebrate the singer’s achievements on their own merit and allow Fela’s legacy to remain respected and undiluted.

The comments have since sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians divided over the long-running debate between Afrobeat heritage and modern Afrobeats stardom.
