Concrete mix calculation (manual)
Length of Concrete- 252 inches
Width of Concrete- 9 inches
Depth of Concrete- 36 inches.
Solution
1st Step:
Conversion of the dimensions to metric unit {SI unit of length} gives us:
New length = 6.40m
New width = 0.23m
New depth = 0.92m
(Hint: 1 inch = 0.0254).
Hence, Volume = 6.40 x 0.23 x 0.92 = 1.35m³
2nd Step:
The mix ratio for a reinforced concrete is 1:2:4(Grade M15) for example.
1:2:4 is equivalent to Cement: Fine aggregate: Coarse aggregate

Volume of Cement in the mix = 1/7 x 1.35m³ =0.19m³
Remember, Density = Mass/Volume
Density of dry Cement= 1440Kg/m³
Density of wet cement = 3150Kg/m³(average).
Therefore, Mass(Kg) of cement = Density x Volume = 3150 x 0.19 = 598.5Kg
Note: 1 bag = 50kg
Total no of bags = 598.5/50 = 11.97 =
12 bags.

Fine aggregate (Sand)
Volume = 2/7 x 1.35m³ = 0.38m³
Dry loose Bulk density = 1550Kg/m³
Mass in Kg = 1550 x 0.38 =589 Kg
I tonne = 1000kg
Hence, Amount of sand = 589/1000 = 0.59tonne

Coarse Aggregate ( Gravel)
Volume = 4/7 x 1.35m³ = 0.76m³
Bulk Density= 1350Kg/m³
Mass = 1350 x 0.76 = 1026kg
Amount in tonne = 1026/1000 = 1.03 tonnes.

Good Evening house,

Please I need assistance with calculating the concrete mix of a particular civil work I want to carry out in my house.

Meanwhile, I have tried using some online apps I found on app store yet I don't know if I'm doing it right or if the results are accurate.

Please who can assist me to get an accurate calculation (either manually or with an online app).
The dimensions are:-
Length: 252 inches
Width: 9 inches
Depth: 36 inches

Please don't ignore.

BrickDevo:

Wire mesh is still a form of reinforcement same as iron rod, but iron rod is thicker, me i will always use 6mm rod for the reinforcement. Placed on the concrete? i believe is a typo since he said it will set afterwards.

BRC wire mesh is made of similar material just like the reinforcement bars but of a minimal diameter.
