brocab: So If the word of God is so wrong to you, maybe if you stop mocking the word of God-you can spell it out the way you believe how the word of God should be written. Give me your view on John 20:23, followed by other scriptures to back it up. How else do I break this down bikonu? Jesus(after resurrection) appeared to his disciples, showed them his hands n sides, and said to them 'as the father has sent me, so I'm sending you', he breathed on them and said 'receive the Holy Spirit, whose sins you forgive is forgiven and whose sin you retain is retained' What views of mine will supersede the word of God again? I suggest you go back and read the part of your post I quoted and tell me what John 20:23 has to do with what you were explaining it to mean. That's why I was shocked cos I've seen u guys twist the scripture but this time, your explanation had no correlation at all with the scripture(u even quoted) I'm still in shock as to how far you can go to deny the same God's word you claim to preach. Even though you quoted it, you end up denying that Jesus said it. Like I said, read your post (the part I quoted before) and tell me who is making mockery of God's word. But then Again we can only pray for u |

brocab: The answer to John 20:21-23, Jesus tells His disciples "If you forgive anyone his sins they are forgiven, If you do not forgive anyone their sins their not forgiven. "The very core in this message is the truth, for someone having their sins forgiven is by having faith in Jesus Christ.
So what did Jesus really mean in John 20:23? Only God can forgive sins and Christ being God has the power to forgive, but He never gave any authority to the disciples, nor did they confirm they had any power to forgive sins. So after reading John 20:23, the above is what u made out of it? Wonders shall never end. Now I believe that End time is nearer than I thought. It's amazing how far (some of) these Pentecostal guys would go to deny the same word they claim they're preaching Like my brother btoks said, we can only pray for you |

Syncan: From Today's Gospel: Jn 6:16-21
"When it was evening, the disciples of Jesus went down to the sea, embarked in a boat, and went across the sea to Capernaum. It had already grown dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them. The sea was stirred up because a strong wind was blowing. When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they began to be afraid. But he said to them, “It is I. Do not be afraid.” They wanted to take him into the boat, but the boat immediately arrived at the shore to which they were heading".
...the sea was stirred up because a strong wind was blowing.... Are you disturbed? Is your soul restless...or indeed stirred up? What is that “strong wind” blowing in your life stirring up your heart, disturbing your peace? ... It had already grown dark, and Jesus was not yet with them....ah, the temptation is so thick right, or you’re nearing your faith or perseverance limit, the D day is drawing so close, you’re desperate for solution...it seems all dark, and Jesus too far to help... When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat...Did you notice something Rose2014, did you notice that he didn’t show up immediately? EgovinMma, Yes he waited for them to row in the storm for “three or four miles”. Now, how long have you been in the strong wind, what is your three miles, how close are you to it? Btoks my brother, one does not know, yet if you lose hope now, you may lose it all. For no power on earth can stop Him when He decides to step into the storm, Indeed Herzumpther, I tell you he will walk on waters, He will pass through walls, Oh, He will pull down even the bars of death, just to come to your rescue. Deogratias1, imagine the joy, the relief, the peace that will flow when we hear those words “It is I. Do not be afraid”. Won’t it be worth its wait? Won’t the surprise on the faces of the people be worth the tears, won’t the praises on your lips be worth the pains? Look at them Maureenah... They wanted to take him into the boat, but the boat immediately arrived at the shore to which they were heading. Hahahaha, they were still welcoming him, but they were already at shore, problem solved permanently! Alleluia! Justjify bro, at shore there is protection from storm, no fear from heavy wind, no darkness; for Jesus is present. So shall it be with you, for it shall be shore soon in your life dearly beloved, you who is now in the strong wind at sea.

stunningjudy: I'm soooo happy, people join me and thank God and Mother Mary for this easter gift they blessed me with. I started a 54 days rosary novena which is still on and I kept on praying for a job to keep myself busy before nysc in September. I told Mother Mary that if I can't go for service in May then she should bless me with a job because I won't be jobless by may 1st. I did about 2 interviews and didn't get called, last week I saw an ad and sent my CV, I did a phone interview then had another discussion with the lady on easter Monday. The lady didn't call me yesterday, I was just weak because I had missed 2 jobs already. Infact I refused to bath yesterday until 4pm(I was mourning)..lol. I sent the lady an email stating that I'm still waiting for her. By 10pm last night she asked me to see her today and when I went we discussed again and she said I have the job and asked when I could start. I was just too happy because he frustration of sitting at home and getting fat was becoming too much. Again, saying the rosary with FAITH didn't disappoint me. Awesome testimony. I rejoice with you sweerie In Salc's voice, *inspiring indeed* |

Rich4god: EASTER GLORY FILLS THE SKY: Acts 3:1-10, Lk. 24:13-35. In today's first reading, the people are astonished to see Christ healing power in Peb ter and John. At first, the lame man was disappointed that the disciples could offer no money. But in his disappointment the power of God was made manifest when he cast his gaze on the disciples. The same way, the disciples on the way to Emmaus was disappointed that the one they had hoped will redeem Israel was killed by the same people they had thought He would conquer. However, they regain their hope when they demanded that the Lord should stay with them. Because Christ live and ever present with us, all fear is gone and we need to invite Him to stay with us always. In case we feel disappointed that our weaknesses comes back after the Lenten mortification of self and thinking of returning to business as usual like the disciples on the way to Emmaus, Jesus who enlightened these men can do the same for us. We too, if only we would examine ourselves sincerely, with an attentive examination of our sadness, our discouragement, our being little tired of life, we would find a clear link with this Gospel passage. We would discover how we often remark 'if God is alive, He wouldn't have allow this or that to happen to my family,' because we forget that, just as on the road to Emmaus, Jesus is alive and by our side at this very moment. This discovery will enlighten our faith and revive our hope. Jesus commands now at this very moment that we walk with Him. Jesus lives. May the Lord awaken our hearts and make us holy this day by the gift of the Spirit! Amen!! Good morning, It is well with you!!! Amen. Good morning to you dear |
