Jokes Etc / Hey Bill by kanmaolise(m): 9:27am On Oct 10, 2013
TO: Bill Gates Microsoft
FROM: Akpos

SUBJECT: Problems With My New Computer.

Dear Mr. Bill Gates,
We have bought a computer for our home and we have found some problems, which I want to bring to your notice.

1. There is a ‘START’ button but there is no ‘STOP’ button. We request you to check this.
2. One doubt is whether any ‘RESCOOTER’ is available in system? I find only ‘RECYCLE’ but I own a scooter at my home.

3. There is ‘FIND’ button but it is not working. My wife lost the door key and we’ve tried alot to trace the key with this ‘FIND’ button, but was unable to trace it. Please rectify this problem.

4. My child learnt ‘MICROSOFT WORD’ now he wants to learn ‘MICROSOFT SENTENCE’, so when will u provide that?

5. There’s MICROSOFT OFFICE, what about MICROSOFT HOME since I use the PC at home.

6. I bought computer, CPU, mouse& keyboard, but there is only one icon which shows ‘MY COMPUTER’, when will u provide the remaining items?

7. Last one Mr. Bill Gates sir, why is it that your name is Gates yet you sell WINDOWS?

Regards,
Akpos

ubong560: WTF! What sort of confused thread is this?

1, the poster posted this @ exactly 1:30pm and yet he said 'Good morning'. Is 1:30pm morning?

2, the poster contravened RULE 21 by using irregular spellings.

3, No source and yet it made fp. smh

4, Unical just resumed and nothing like strike whatever.

pro01: If this character is as brilliant as he purports to be, he would know that one of the CARDINAL rules of the civil service is anonymity. Civil servants are only to be seen, not heard. It is unethical and reprehensible to hold strong, partisan opinions whilst in the civil service. It is even more reprehensible when such strong opinions are critical of the government (or its top functionaries) that you work for.

His sack was well deserved. He can now go into his 'hobby' full time. I'm sure the likes of El Rufai and other garrulous characters in the opposition would welcome him with open arms.
he is a civil servant he isn't suppose to write such, civil servants are to be seen not heard. its common knowledge taught in government in sec. schools.
Poems For Review / The Era Of Boredom's Day. by kanmaolise(m): 11:28am On Apr 22, 2013
It's the era of boredom's day
In the morning I seldom play;
So chores unnecessary i seek,
Even if they could be suspended one more week.
To my guardians i seem diligent and meek.
The activities of the morning so far,
Leaves my mind quite ajar.
In idleness I wonder
My limbs their pleas tender
Of this idleness I must put asunder.
Out i go for a walk
Hoping for a dame to stalk
The aimless trek covers my feet with sand and loam
Self imposed tiredness brings me to my comfort foam.

Literature / The Bell Of INSP by kanmaolise(m): 8:15pm On Apr 16, 2013
The bell of inspiration jingles and only those with a certain hear can hear it. Many struggle and fight internal wars, endless as they may seem just to get that content, word, message, that they need. All that ends the strife is the bell of inspiration. Once heard the rest comes like the biblical statement. So i seek to hear this bell, when it rings, how will i know? here's how.

An angelic sight... Oh! true beauty! the feeling that engrosses the head at the sight of ones lover, a sensation, strong enough, it could cure madness, a figure that makes you wonder if angels have freshly fallen from heaven to tempt man, because if they have boy have i sinned! Such perfection that while staring you walk of your pedestrian path and into the gutter only to come out and still struggle to see if you could catch one more glimpse of such artistry by the wonderful creator.

For the more sorrowed ones, a pitiful sight could ring the bell for them. The sight of grime-loving, poo-eating, gutter-sleeping, scary infants crying for milk from the supposed bosoms of the woman; the saggy lump of skin can no longer hang on to the rest of the skeletal structure they call a mother.

Or the sight of a former human being, he no longer reasons like you and i, he roams the street with a signature hair style "Dada".

Hunger could also expose the broad nature of mans imagination especially in a country like ours, one has to start making use of this self-imposed natural resource before it goes to waste. When one wakes up to the alarm of H CL eating away ones stomach walls, one resumes the day in pains. With extinguishing the nauseating pain the only thing on ones mind, one resolves to creating life threatening meals. For example garri and paw paw, orange and soured stew, garri and fanta, or incomplete meals like: okro and stew, rice and salt, garri and water, or just water and water, depending on how ones riches can carry.

The loss of a friend could inspire, the thought of not see her again, the witnessing of the burial where only her age mates are allowed to attend because the parents are not to see such, the tears, wailing, the "had she known's", the permanent goodbyes, and the hope to meet her again.

These provocative slaps to the heart of ,man could bring out the best expressions of what you feel. They leave impressions so deep the best way to let it out and savor the moments therein is to write. But ultimately, you could get the owner of all knowledge, the omniscient, the only one that can give life to a dead brain and speak words of wisdom to an otherwise foolish ear, our most revered Holy spirit.
