The problem with this lazy brainless idiots i.e. thresa8 and Somze is that they assume that crude oil exists only in the swamplands of Bayelsa. I didnt really want to comment on this issue because Nigeria 1 is a well known clown in Nigerian forums running around with voodoo sattellite and census figures. But on 2nd thought i decided to highlight some points that should be well known.

Historically Nigeria has never had any reliable census because of ethnic struggle for domination, and the Makama census was not an exception. Besides MASSOB literarily mobilized against the census in the Southeast, and ethnicity was also not part of it. Against this facts and the historical antecedents of census manipulation and 419 in Nigeria it is impossible for any one to conclude the size of any ethnic group as Nigeria 1 the clown is trying to do.

But even using the MAKAMA census let us analyse a few facts.

The 5 states of the Southwest outside Lagos with a predominant Yoruba population had a population of 18+ million.

The 5 states of the Southeast had a population of 16+ million.

Now when we are talking of the population of  Lagos we have to be very careful because Lagos was Nigeria's capital for many decades and the concentration of federal presence sucked in a huge population of people from all over Nigeria. In  that regards the population of Lagos cannot be said to reflect the population of the Yoruba.

At least 50-60% of Lagosians are other Nigerians, out of this figure about 30-35% are Igbo. There is no Nigerian including the leadership who does not know that there is a massive  Igbo population in Lagos. It is in recognition of the Igbo population that Lagos state presently has 2 Igbo  commissioners.

Capital cities all the world i.e London, Paris, Rome, Cairo, Accra etc draw in huge populations from all over their respective countries. Nigeria is not an exception. If Nigeria's capital had been Enugu or Awka it would likewise have sucked in a massive population just as Lagos did, and Abuja is presently doing.

Therefore if the population of Lagos is 9+million according to Makama, at least 4-5+ million is non Yoruba, and out of this figure the Igbo should be about 3+million.

Another strong factor to be considered is that within Nigeria it is common knowledge that the Igbo is very migratory. There is no village you will not find an Igboman. But the Yoruba as we all know hardly ever migrates within Nigeria.

There are very large Igbo populations in cities like Kano, Port-Harcourt, Abuja. Recently El -Rufai revealed that Igbos own 70% of Abuja etc.

If the population of Igbos in Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Kano, Abuja etc is added to the Makama figure for the Southeast it will be seen that the Igbo population is quite significant, unfortunately they refused to include ethnicity in the last census so that the population of people especially Igbos living outside their region will not be known.

Of course there are also indigenous Igbos in Anioma delta state, and Rivers state just as you have Yorubas in Kwara and Kogi states.

As for resources, someone should tell Nigeria 1 that 80% of Nigeria's resources comes from crude oil and most of that oil is from the South south and Southeast.

The remaining 20% comes from VAT and excise duties. So technically the Southwest contributes almost nothing to the national purse.

The states Nigeria 1 wants  created will be funded by oil money From the East, meanwhile the Southeast is marginalized with virtually no federal presence. Uptill today no international airport in Enugu, no 2nd bridge across the very busy Niger-River etc this is also part of the reason why there are not too many migrants in Igboland because Nigerians go where there is federal presence.

People like Nigeria 1 should be careful because it is such lies and injustice that is making some people to agitate for Biafra.

Nigeria 1 can create a million states if he likes, but let  him fund the states from Southwest generated funds and not from oil resources from the East.

Almond joy or whatever he calls himself is a typical African slave full of tribal jealousy, the same phenomenom that has kept Africa and the blackman down.

Other parastatals like Central Bank, Nigerian stock exchange, Comptroller general of immigration, Due process, Bureau of public enterprises, National intelligence agency (NIA) , Police service commission, Defence industries corporation (DIC), Chief of air staff, air vice marshall paul Dike etc are still  at present ran by Igbos.

The Ambassador of the most strategic  Nigerian embassy in the UNITED STATES proffessor Charles Obiozor is currently an Igbo. Newly appointed FRSC Director and Head of service are Igbo. With the 5 all Igbo states Igbos are guaranteed at least 5 ministers in any administration.

An Igbo is in the second largest denomination of 500 naira, Igbo language is one of the only 3 in the naira, the Abuja international airport is named after an Igbo, and Igbo language is one of the 3 official languages. The Igbo have also historically produced both a president and military head of state of this fucking country. The list can go on and on, to prove that war or no war, the Igbo cannot be ignored in Nigeria to the shame and jealousy of idiots like Ono.

Ndigbo and the people of present day Cross River and Akwa Ibom have come a long way. My wife for example is Efik from Cross River.The wife of the governor of Cross River liyel Imoke is from Anambra state, and i understand the mother of the Akwa Ibom governor Akpabio is also from Anambra state. This is a clear demonstration of how closely intertwined we are.

It is unfortunate that Nigeria's politics try to use divide and rule tactics to turn people against each other. (1) In the first place it is arrant nonsense to talk of the Biafran war in terms of victory or defeat. All Nigerians are vanquished by the war. The war was unnecesary and a shame to both the Blackrace and Africans in general. It demonstrated the extent to which the long suffering Africans can go to kill themselves. Ndigbo or any group for that matter  then as now have the right to self determination the same way Nigeria got self determination from the British, if not then the British should have  also had the right to continue colonising us.


(2) It was the North  that originally intended to seccede. Gowon had even already announced "there was no basis for Nigerian unity" before the British adviced them against it, because they felt they couldnt control a government headed by a Southerner.

My question therefore to idiots like Ono; what if the North had secedded as originally planned?

(3)Every distinct group has a right to self determination as is even recognised by the United nations charter. Many nations have gained independence recently under this principle, amongst them East Timor, Montenegro, and many nations from the former Soviet Union etc. Nigeria was just a Btritish contraption that brought together strange bedfellows. So the noise about Biafra which assumes that Nigeria is a sacred unbreakable nation is stupid and childish. As the Americans have predicted, there is a 98% likelihood that Nigeria will break sometime in the near future.

(4) In every war, crisis or conflict there will be those who oppose and those who support. During the Algerian war of independence there were Algerians who fought on the French side, so also was East Timor, and so also was Biafra. There were Efiks, Ijaws even Igbos etc who supported and opposed Biafra. Indeed the second in command of Biafra major gen.Philip Effiong was from either present day cross river or Akwa Ibom state, so it is plain stupidity for idiots like Ono and his fellow co.travellers to talk of Biafra as if it was exclusively an Igbo thing, there was and still are minorities who then and now support the Biafran idea as a more viable option of neighbours and more relatively homogenous peoples both in ethnicity and religion to present day failed Nigeria.

(5) As for the claim by the madcow Ono that Igbos faced annihilation during the war, we are yet to see any conflict in history where a people have been succesfully annihilated. The genocidal war in Sudan has  been on for more than 20 years yet there are still Southern Sudanese fighting, the Palestinians have been in war for more than 50 years yet they are still fighting, not even the Germans could annihilate the jews etc Annihilation as an issue is thus only relevant in the heads of fools like Ono whose Niger-Delta region has ironically been facing repeated massacres in Odi and other areas under a permanent  military task force, yet he has the ordercity to talk of the annihilation of others.

(6) The Igbos fought a historically acknowledged hero's war of survival against all odds without arms or even food and held the rest of Nigeria up for 3 years.  In the process the Igbos showed extreme survivalist skills, creativity, and doggedness unrivalled in history. Even in what some mentally inferior goons would term a defeat they proved they are not a pushover. Wars are not always fought to win but sometimes to prove a point. If the Igbos had half or even a quater of  the weapons available to the Nigerian side the outcome of that war would have been different.

(7) Present day realities has vindicated Ojukwu. All Nigerians from East, West to the North  have been vanquished by the war. There is bad leadership, poverty, injustice, oppression, massacres, etc in Nigeria and no group is immune from it.

( Lazy idiots like Ono should be pardoned for thinking only of oil. No great nation on earth today has oil. Weath is created through hardwork, creativity and enterprise. Even if you gave noisemakers like Ono total control of their oil, they will still be dirt poor, as present day oil dependent Nigeria has proven. Nigerians must distance themselves from oil and realise that the oil has been a curse rather than a blessing. Nigeria did better with Palm oil, Cocoa and groundnut before the discovery of crude oil. If not for the discovery of crude oil Nigeria would have been richer and better. Countries like Ghana, Ivory coast, Uganda, Botswana  etc are doing better  without oil to the shame of oil drunk lazy idiots like Ono.

(9) The annihilation that Ono and his co.travellers wished on others are closer to happening to his Niger-Delta group than anywhere else. We shall see how many of them will survive when the Nigerian army decides to launch a full scale offensive against the criminal child kidnappers in their childish so called militancy.

(10)Besides Nigerians should be careful when they hear urchins like Ono talking of the Niger-Delta as if it is a homogenus mono-ethnic region. The Niger-Delta in reality is a multi-ethnic region with much internal discord and acrimony such that the Ijaw, Itshekiri,Urhobo etc are constantly embroiled in bloody conflicts. If left alone they cannot even stay together peacefully. So nobody  should be fooled by the holier than thou image of the Niger-Delta  computer urchins like Ono is wont to bandy about here.Ono probably comes from a tiny insignifant ethnic group struggling to be relevant because of crude oil, but  crude oil will thankfully  finish one day, when it finishes we shall see how bastards like Ono can open their lazy mouths again!
