EducationRe: The Plight Of A Madonna University Law Graduate by kara(f): 12:04pm On Aug 20, 2013
When I entered UNIBEN in 2003, about 300 students were admitted, by the time I was in year 4, new intakes per year had reduced to roughly about 150 students mainly because of the number of law school slots that were allocated to the Law faculty. A private university has no business admitting 500 students per year especially when they do not have enough slots to send the majority of their students to Law school. Sadly your situation is as a result of the "I must maximize profit attitude" of your institution.

My advice to you is to be proactive. With this present ASUU strike, some universities might not have enough graduates to send to law school. Do your research, try and establish contacts and approach those universities. In the meantime, also apply for jobs or do a masters degree, learn a foreign language etc. In order words, get a plan B,C,D and even a plan E.

I pray you achieve your dreams of being a lawyer. Good luck.

CelebritiesRe: Nkem Owoh In Land Tussle With Widow by kara(f): 4:09pm On Oct 11, 2012
The lady knew that there was an adverse claim to the property, a claim stronger than hers since Osuofia has the title documents to the property before she commenced building on the land and now she is trying to whip up sentiments. How can u build on a disputed land especially when you are not in possession of the title. Usually, in situations like this a vendor probably succeeded in playing a fast one by selling the property twice

TravelRe: Nigeria Will Reciprocate Visa Denials And Delays – Gbenga Ashiru by kara(f): 10:10am On Jul 30, 2011
I support Ashiru 100%, we are not asking to be treated differently just in the same way. There is no reason why application for an EU visa is at least 3 weeks for a Nigerian(and a select few arab countries) and 3 days for people of other nations. And for those saying that we do not have tourists, Nigeria was the eighth most visited tourist destination in Africa in 2010(wikipedia). For a country that pays little attention to the tourist industry, I say that's a reasonable achievement. Of course we are not as popular as U.S or Europe or even south Africa, but the total number of tourists to Africa are about 1/4th of the tourists going to America. Our country is getting better and that is the truth(and they know it), it still has a long way to go but we will get there. So treat them in the same shabby way, I am all in support, afterall respect is reciprocal.
