He had several altercations with then governor of Ogun state Olabisi Onabanjo. The governor suspended and subsequently deposed the Awujale. The state governor was going to appeal that ruling when the military coup came. Bisi Onabanjo was removed from office as a result of the coup.

Then came a military governor, Oladipo Diya who reinstated the Awujale back to the throne. Bisi died 7 years after while Awujale is still standing tall, infact his reigns has lasted almost for the duration of the entirety of Bisi's lifetime (Bisi died at 63 years while Awujale has reigned for 60 years already and still counting). The AWUJALE knows his onions, he cannot be messed with!

It is such a shame that senators and ministers are interested in the slots meant for innocent hardworking and poor Nigerians. I learnt that ministers and senators have sent too many interests lists, wanting to share the slots among the elites just like magu has been doing with EFCC slots. You would write EFCC exam and score 100% but they would not call you for training cos they share the slots. POOR nigerians suffer, pay transport fare to exam and some even collect loans to meet up, but with zero sympathy those elites share the slots among themselves.
My lamentation is born out of accurate evidences.
As many of us that suffer to travel to write such exams, would be rewarded by God. We leave vengeance for God to judge and punish the elites who steal our destinies both in this world and hereafter.
