What is nigeria doing at all? For me, nothing, though its difficult to admit, |
Nigerians do not feel a sense of belonging to this land and they have identity problems as well (5 different nations in 1, with further sub-identities). I blame the so-called founding fathers. None of them had a wholistic vision for the entire country and so we have evolved a cannibalistic society where each person tries to take advantage of the next. No common purpose, guiding philosophy, etc. I dare say, we are around the 'huntering and gathering level' of civilization. However, there is just beginning to be an increasing level of awareness about our underachievement. You may never know, it may just be the key to changing our fortunes. It wont be easy. There is already an established order of doing things the wrong way, |
Seconded. But he must show some interest and come up with a clear blueprint of a roadmap to achieving great things in Power, Roads, Water, Education and Health. For me, these are the most important issues. But then, he may have to go through PDP to achieve the dream. Hmmmmm, |
faakay:Thought it was gtb until recently. may i say zenith?, pls, be gentle on me, ![]() |
From these posts, Yakubu carries the day, although I believe he's not the most popular person in Nigeria right now. Its good that we can also mention 5 others who Nigerians can be proud of at the moment (Uche, Mikel, Odenwinge, Yobo and Taiwo). It gives me a little hope for the future of the Super Eagles. Odejayi's goal against Chelsea was only his second for the season, and I do not think it qualifies him to get a Super Eagles call-up |
