H1 '25 will clear all doubts cool
toyeoye:
Despite leading the board with ₦2.3B in trades so far, Aradel’s price dip points to heavy sell pressure, likely from large exits. Still down -23.08% YTD, it remains in correction mode despite solid fundamentals.

Having worked in the corporate world, statements such as the bolded should never be taken serious.

Without assuming anything, I want to believe that FIDELITY are in a better position to comment and save their reputation (probably having gotten requisite permissions from the courts) as opposed to PG who relied on a source (which they won't disclose for confidentiality reasons grin grin )

GeeKudi:
But, PG said they got the gist from a source in the bank and Fidelity itself just openly flouted that order with their press release today.

The bolded is where the issue lies:

"Consequently, the Bank has applied to the Court for a clarification and inquiry into the proper interpretation of the judgment and the computation of the actual quantum properly and lawfully payable by G.Cappa and the Bank.
The Court has accordingly ordered Sagecom to maintain status quo pending the determination of pending motions and restrained Sagecom and all persons from publishing any material in the media as the matter is still pending in court.
The implication of this order is that the instant publication by People Gazette and any other media platform or persons, contain false information and is wrongful, unlawful and constitute a contempt of court..."

ndept:
In fairness to the bolded, I do not see any biase in their report. They simply reported the judgement of the supreme court. It is now left for the parties to challenge the interpretation at the court
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 10:30am On May 20, 2025
From my interaction with legal practitioners, the date of judgement should be 2018.
All that transpired after that date were appeals which 'upheld the 2018 judgement'.

However, considering the time frame between judgement and today, there is a strong case for review of the final fee thus the request for interpretation of the judgement.

We hope for the best possible outcome for all parties smiley

In less than 20mins of market open about N300 million is changing hands as some investors rush for a panic sale. The strong Fidelity bulls are wrestling the bears unleashed by the People Gazette publication.
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 10:16am On May 20, 2025
It was definitely a paid publication with an ulterior motive.
I believe that after the dust settles, they will demand an apology...

BabsO2:
There is a huge difference between N225b and N31b (or N14b). How did the People Gazette come up with N225b and the bank has a max of N31b being a stake.

AwesomeJ, I commend you for your tenacity.

We need to realize that no one size fits all neither can we have a style that suits all.

I think it's 222Martin who shared his method of increasing his holdings in an stock without infusing extra funds.

Personally, I don't believe that having a low BE price is something to brag about (especially for stocks that experience mild to big fluctuations).

If persons A and B bought 100k units of XYZ at ₦5 each (that's ₦500k plus charges).
Person A is a long termer regardless of fluctuations.
Person B is a trader ready to capitalize on fluctuations.

After 6months, XYZ is now ₦7 but there's a probability that Person B now has as much as 120k units after trading and reinvesting...

Stocks Trading is a game (in Megawealth voice angry ) and whatever format you can deploy within the official rules is allowed.

José Mourinho was ridiculed and derided for his awkward formations amd style of play YET he delivered results...

I remain a TradInvestor wink

Without undermining his impact, deploying new technology at the main exam without prior trial is what led to all this.

I am indifferent wrt the tears (could be real or otherwise).
The PTSD on candidates might affect their results in the retake.

Imagine INEC deploying new technology at the General Elections... wink

You are right..
Resignation is ideal if the process has been smooth all along before now.

But in this our peculiar case where competent people abound but it's one thing to even appoint them sef and another for them to even perform.
Nigeria managed to get this one fairly right at least.

Every Exam Head get brother, sister, family, friends, business connections who want their wards to have Leeway to jump the process..
While the henchman is busy tightning the process year after year. Pressure dey Ooo.
I doubt if I fit sef grin

His FOI and transparency on the matter is also a plus.
How many Govt agencies fit carry public along like that not to mention our NGX-Listed companies. grin
