I really wonder o. |
good day, please I have a question to ask, when constructing a greenhouse, 20m by 8m is what size and how many plants can be planted inside this greenhouse size ? |
I want to understand this , what happens after the first sales? i need to understand the terms of this plabtain farm pls. can the investor have his or her team managing the plantain in the estate and the investor supplying the companies directly after second year ? I need to get the terns clearly stated so that everyone can see. Thanks |
what I mean by location is, the terrain one knows well and know a lot of people in that area . |
Goodday madam jethro, please I also need few advises pls. Apart from the open market and the standard markets, are their any tip of how the farmer (urban farmer ) can get to sell his or her produce directly to the consumers ? Any marketing tip as regards to this ? |
good day, do you realise you guys are posting this in a wrong section ? |
Good day gurus, please I have an important question. can a plantain farm be intercropped with tomatoes successfully and also can a cashew farm be intercropped with tomatoes as well in the first and second year ? please I need answers from gurus cc legsupnigeria cc world 1 cc unbeatable cc hotmas cc Jethro cc jasper cc saliubello cc hybridveggies cc stagger and all the gurus |
I would suggest agric as the surest way and u cannot get it wrong with plantain farming. it gives you safe roi or you can invest in a mini built greenhouse with bamboo and teak woods and grow high valued veggies like lettuce and even tomatoes (target the season and make a kill). my 2 cent |
How can Nigerians invest in such clueless project? How on earth do you think this can be achieved? Please brothers and sisters, any project you wish to venture into, please locate a practicing person that has succeeded in that field before venturing into that business or project. My 2 cent |
My mail is karlxavierkarl@gmail.com |
Jethro, please, are their lands in ago amodu, at the farm settlement closer to you that one can lease before being able to buy land somewhere else? Even if it's for one or two years? The person is going to clear it himself if possible so that the person can stay close and practice after practical 3 months training and cost of set up would be a bit minimal please ma. Thanks as you respond |
Also, can a greenhouse be constructed in between the spaces in a palm plantation farms? I also have a man that has palm plantation on about 80 plots of land and he is about to plant palm trees. He also wants to use all the spaces for greenhouses for growing vegetables. Can be go go ahead madam? |
Jethro, can a land that the owner wants to plant Palm plantation be intercropped with tomatoes in the open for the first five years of cultivation? Can tomatoes be grown in a land that palm trees are planted? |
Noted. That won't be an issue. I believe someone with the 3 months practical training coupled with a nice constructed greenhouse can have a decent start in the tomato industry cos he or she already has the good agronomy practices after the training. Hope am right ma? |
karlxavier:How about this.. |
Please do justice to the above questions madam. Thanks and God bless |
But @ Jethro, can your team help in constructing greenhouse for people in oyo state at a fee?? I read somewhere on this thread about greenhouse construction by your team using local materials. |
Another is, am grateful for the question you answered. In the open field, is tuta absoluta known as tomato ebola curbed with frequent spraying and management when one attends the 3months training? I was thinking that it would be a good idea if one goes for the three months training, get practical knowledge and still have your greenhouse built. Is their anyway to have an excellent crop yield in the open field just like in the greenhouse? |
Goodday Jethro, in your next training, I guess it has the course outline of how participants would construct greenhouse with local materials? I have someone that would want to attend for this training and he also wants to learn that aspect of building the local greenhouse/screen house/Newhouse for the growing of tomatoes successfully under your tutelage. Please reply |
Goodday Jethro, Please I have some further questions to ask. What is the sole advantage a greenhouse has over open field cultivation? Can all the factors be controlled in an open field cultivation just like greenhouse? I believe open field farm set up would be cheaper than setting up a greenhouse, what does greenhouse have to offer a farmer and his investor? Please reply |
Thanks madam. You are a rare gem. One more question, after one comes for the three months training and gets trained on the agricultural practices in growing tomato, can one be selling only to the standard market if his farm is in the western eg, oyo and Ogun? Assuming one decides to do one acre with good practices, can he be assured of linkage to the standard market? Thanks as you reply madam |
Jethro, please I have some questions to ask. When producing for standard market, must one use solely greenhouse to produce for the standard market alone? Secondly, when doing an open field cultivation, can one grow through out the year with irrigation or are their months where u would stop growing? Thirdly, can open field be used to achieve desired results for the standard market? Thanks as u answer the questions. |
