PoliticsRe: Ajaokuta Bombed By Boko Haram? by kasperone8: 5:28pm On Feb 03, 2012
I am surprised at how people just go about peddling rumours with certainty.I have read the post and did not find anything like 'bombed' rather it was stated that the police station and bank were 'burnt' contrary to the assertion of the poster that it was 'bombed'.Let's not play into the hands of these faceless terrorists by tagging everything that happens as a bokoharam attack, their intention is to create a fear in the country and trust me when there's fear, they will have an easy ride with their attacks
PoliticsRe: FG Spends N4.8 Billion On School Fees For Ambassador's Children by kasperone8: 1:06pm On Feb 03, 2012
Acidosis:
If we have 100 ambassadors. It means FG spent 48million on each family.
If an ambassador has 3 children in school (more likely to be undergraduate & postgraduate), It means a total sum of 16million naira was spent on each child's education ( more likely to be schools abroad e.g oxford, cambrigde and also it includes cost of travels)

If a local govt chairman could train 2 children abroad with govt money, then what do we expect from an ambassador who stands to represent Nigeria ?

I dont think this calls for much questioning. Though the question remains, how many ambassadors have children in school?
As a Nigerian trained at one of the most expensive universities in the UK,I can reliably tell you that 16 million naira for educating the child of a diplomat is outrageous. It just goes to show how wasteful people in government are

PoliticsRe: Methodist Prelate-ola Makinde Accuses Bakare Over Protest/rally by kasperone8: 1:46am On Jan 24, 2012
And for those who were either cynical or unfairly critical about Alao-Akala's performance in the state, Primate Sunday Ola Makinde of Methodist Church of Nigeria has this to say: "Governor Alao-Akala's physical projects in Oyo State are visible for all to see."
In his first eleven months when he was governor on the account of theimpeachment of his former boss, Rasheed Ladoja, Alao-Akala, during the period, set the tone for what he is churning out in today's Oyo State. With such move that touched on every sphere of the state, Akala knew he was challenged not to let his supporters down. And in his over 3 years as governor elected since 2007, Alao-Akala is convinced of having served conscienciously and with the fear of God.
